High-Level US Delegation to Attend V-Day Parade in Moscow – Ambassador Sullivan

 

A delegation of senior US officials will come to Moscow for the parade marking the end of World War Two unless Russia changes it plans, Ambassador John Sullivan said in an interview on Sunday.

 

The top US diplomat in Russia told the Kommersant daily that US President Donald Trump was committed to sending a very high-level delegation to Moscow for the Victory Day Parade on 9 May.

UN Core Nations’ Summit

 

Trump got behind Vladimir Putin’s proposal to hold a summit of the five permanent UN Security Council members.

 

John Sullivan told the Kommersant daily that Trump had suggested holding the leaders’ meeting in New York during the week-long general debate in September, but neither a date nor the agenda had been agreed on.

 

The diplomat said the fact that all five were nuclear-weapon states called for arms control talks. This is what Putin proposed to discuss at the summit in their private talk on 5 February, Sullivan added.

 

Peskov said in January that China and France were on board with the idea of holding the summit. The UK Embassy reportedly confirmed this week that London also supported it.

Nuclear Arms Talks With China

 

Sullivan pointed out that the US is pushing China to commit to nuclear arms limits and sees more urgency in this than in bringing the United Kingdom or France to join the treaty.

 

The top diplomat claimed that Russia welcomed China’s participation in the pact but believed it was up to Washington to convince Beijing to join.

 

He added that bringing London and Paris, key US allies, into the fold was "less expedient" since they were not considered a security challenge by the Pentagon.

 

The Chinese authorities are not pursuing nuclear parity with the United States or Russia and are trying to achieve a "nuclear triad" of land, sea and air forces, Sullivan pointed out.

 

The New Start treaty limiting deployed nuclear warheads of the two powers expires next February. The diplomat said there was still time to strike a three-party agreement that would reflect the "strategic reality."

 

The New START is the last remaining arms control treaty in force between Russia and the US after the collapse of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. The New START stipulates the reduction of the number of strategic nuclear missiles launchers by one-half and limits the number of deployed strategic nuclear warheads to 1,550.

 

Washington has not yet announced whether it plans to extend the pact, although Russia has repeatedly invited it to prolong the deal for another five years without preconditions. US President Donald Trump has instead proposed working on a new trilateral nuclear deal between the US, Russia and China. However, Beijing has rejected the idea. Fed Panics: Powell Cuts Rates To Zero, Announces $700BN QE5, Unveils Enhanced Global Swap Lines

 

With Wall Street desperate for the Fed to announce emergency measures on Sunday (after disappointing last week), and ideally before the futures open, Jerome Powell did not disappoint and moments ago the Fed announced a barrage of emergency measures which included:

 

Welcome back ZIRP: Fed cuts rates by 100bps to 0-25bps from 1.00 -1.25bps. This is in addition to the 50bps rate cut on March 3, which means that in just under two weeks the Fed has cut rates by 150bps to zero.

Fed officially launches QE5 (no more "Non-QE" bullshit), consisting of "at least" $500BN in Treasury purchases and $200 billion in MBS.

Boosting intraday liquidity: The Fed announces Measures related to the discount window, intraday credit, bank capital and liquidity buffers, reserve requirements, and—in coordination with other central banks—the U.S. dollar liquidity swap line arrangements

Reserve requirements cut to zero: The Fed cuts reserve requirement ratios to zero percent effective on March 26.

Coordinated swap lines: The Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve, and the Swiss National Bank announced a coordinated action to enhance the provision of liquidity via the standing U.S. dollar liquidity swap line arrangements. The pricing on the dollar liquidity swap arrangements is cut by 25 basis points, so the new rate will be the US dollar overnight index swap (OIS) rate plus 25 basis points.

 

Amusingly, the Fed announces that the emergency action wasn't unilateral, with Loretta J. Mester voting against the action, as she was "fully supportive of all of the actions taken to promote the smooth functioning of markets and the flow of credit to households and businesses but preferred to reduce the target range for the federal funds rate to 1/2 to 3/4 percent at this meeting."

Not stupid, necessarily; they are just ignorant of many things (as I was at that age!) because they hadn't been exposed to much yet.

 

This is why I think education has to be the next big priority. So many kids are smart as hell, and soak up new info like sponges. There MUST be a better way to deliver the information they need to gain than our current school model. And if they pick new material up well, and quickly, they need a faster pace. Slower learners simply need different delivery method, until they find one that works for their abilities. The trick is to find each kid's individual strengths (fast!) then pick up that ball and run with it.

The Rich Are Making A Run On The Banks In The Hamptons

 

As the ultra rich Snake Plisken out of the soon-to-be quarantined Manhattan - where at least one bank has are already run out of $100 bills - to fortify themselves against the viral zombie peasant hordes in their impregnable castles in the Hamptons, one thing they're looking to hoard is cash, which has caused some substantial pressure on financial institutions in the area, according to Bloomberg. At least one New Yorker had his $30,000 cash withdrawal request denied at a Chase bank after being told the limit was $10,000. Meanwhile, bank employees said they were waiting on a "shipment of cash" to fulfill other requests that have been made exceeding the $10,000 amount.

 

Other branches in the area were unable to help in fulfilling the request, with the East Hampton branch reportedly telling the Southampton branch that it had "two massive withdrawal orders" of its own that it was trying to deal with. Of course, this being the same Hamptons where back in 2011 an infamous ATM withdrawal receipt showed a $99.8 million balance, this is hardly surprising.

P Morgan maintains that there is plenty of cash available and that ATMs remain "well funded". The bank also said that sometimes money is not allowed to be taken out in large amounts due to "security" purposes. Bank of America faced similar demands. A branch in Midtown briefly ran out of $100 bills to meet large withdrawals, including some for as much as $50,000 last week. The ATMs did not run out of cash, the NY Times reported.

 

The cash grab in the Hamptons speaks not only to the affluence of the area, but the panic over the spread of the novel coronavirus.

 

The Hamptons looks like a "peak summer Saturday," said one East Hampton shop owner. "Even the lowly IGA, that place was jammed. I was able to buy some toilet paper. It’s a frenzy. It’s a terror of starving to death is what it looks like." For some, the cash scramble is just what the doctor ordered, so to speak. Charlotte Sasso of Stuart’s Seafood Market in Amagansett said the early shift to the Hamptons is actually good for business and giving fishermen a boost: "Just from one boat yesterday we got a load of fluke, flounder, squid, cod, sea bass, monkfish, whiting."

 

And of course, Hamptonites are also stocking their liquor cabinets. "People are buying cases instead of a bottle or two,” said the owner of Wines by Morell in East Hampton.

Am reposting this I posted in last night’s Graveyard shift. As to the doctors’ opining the crisis is bullshit, it seems relevant. Might not be accepted well but seems like a possible “necessary scare” explanation. What if you knew these viruses were out there and were going to make their yearly flu migration around the globe as they do every year, BUT you wanted to use a yearly fact of life to cause a necessary scare event?

This a 60/40% theory that, would probably fall in the 60% zone if it were true, but there may be a couple of anons out there that may be wondering how a "man-made" virus could ethically be a part of The Plan and not be considered evil.

 

We know that there are flu viruses out there, for which we have not yet been able to find a cure for, and from which we know cause scores of thousands of deaths each year. Without getting into any discussions about whether or not we have any secretly withheld cures for flu viruses, what if someone took a preexisting virus, did not make it any more deadly, and put a "boogie man" mask/marking/tag that made this common flu readily identifiable? Would that of itself be a bio-weapon? What if one "knew" the DS would seize upon this boogie-man virus and try to push a panic narrative? Do anons recall the question of "How do you know?" or "How can you predict how your opponent will react?" being discussed on the boards? Did Q mention CONTROL?

What if you wanted your opponent to push a panic narrative as their own? Does any BIBLICAL story about encouraging panic in an enemy to defeat them come to mind? One possible story from the Bible of such an event would be the story of Jericho. (Bible fags please forgive my lack of familiarity with tribe names or the leaders), but I think it was the Israelites having the walled city of Jericho surrounded. They first marched around the city by day, not attacking, day after day. And the army in Jericho took to the city walls, each time anticipating an attack. Finally, the leader of the attacking Israelites told his army to place lamps in clay pots, and they approached secretly in dark of night and, all at once broke those clay pots to.show the lamps inside and also to blow trumpets to cause confusion and fear in the inhabitants of Jericho.

It could be some of the clay pot-breakers are whitehats and that some are controlled blackhats. The desired outcome is fear and chaos. "Crisis causes change. Controlled chaos caused controlled change." Some of the outcomes of this current crisis seem to have given one party great advantage. But could such a scenario ever fall outside the 60% of things that will never be acknowledged?

Countries With Major Coronavirus Outbreak Clusters Delayed Response Due to Strategic Ties with China

 

Italy, South Korea, and Iran have emerged as epicenters of the coronavirus outbreak that started in Wuhan, China. Experts said these countries’ economic and political ties with China facilitated the spread of the virus that has now emerged as a global pandemic, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

 

The Wuhan virus appeared at the end of the year and has now infected over 142,000 people around the world, with the number very likely to increase, according to the March 14 situation report of the WHO.

 

The vast majority of cases reported after Feb. 25 have come from outside China, with Italy, Iran, and South Korea emerging as the major clusters and contributing to the bulk of deaths.

 

“What was initially seen as a largely China-centric shock is now understood to be a global crisis,” said CSIS experts, Stephanie Segal and Dylan Gerstel in an analysis posted Wednesday.

 

As the crisis increases uncertainty and leads to what Segal and Gerstel call “financial market volatility last seen during the global financial crisis” those concerned with the situation in Italy, Iran, and South Korea discussed the China-linked cause with The Epoch Times.
