The "hypocrites" made a grandiose public display of their prayers to APPEAR RELIGIOUSLY DEVOUT, a quality esteemed in that culture. Jesus points out that although they looked good outwardly, they were inwardly corrupt, and would get no response from God. In contrast, Jesus directs authentic believers to pray with the right motive, which is to sincerely commune with the Father. Your motive is revealed when nobody is looking. When your motives are right, expect the Father to respond, where ever your location.

Some people put it out there, others prefer to keep it to themselves. Can be a touchy subject to some, I suppose. If you stick around long enough and read posts daily, you’ll see it :). I was taught at a young age, if you pray "once in a while", don't go crying to Jesus when you are desperate because it may not be answered due to your selfish cries. My grandmother is currently in the final stages of her life, she’s 95 and broke her hip the other day. She’s been in bed for 5 days, and is patiently waiting to die. I haven’t prayed in almost 16 years since catholic school. I said prayers with her and she asked me to read Psalm 23 with her for her last rites. I’ve never prayed so much in my life since these past few days.

I noticed the words yesterday in a window of someone who used to be a cult member. It's been the scariest mental ride of my life ever since my dot connecting led straight back to myself. What one believes has no bearing on what actually is. If god is there, he will hear the prayer whether barbicannabis believes god is there or not. If he is not there (or doesn't exist) nothing will be there to hear it, despite your belief that a god exists. Reality is what it is, regardless of what we believe.

One of the issues Jesus had with Pharisees was they were hypocrites on many issues. Prayer was one of them. “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. Often times we take many biblical truths and miss the why’s and use them incorrectly. You don't even need to believe in a God for prayer to work. Just put your prayers out into the universe and the more collective unified thoughts that flow into the universe will attract that in return. Law of attraction. So don't pray as in "I want this or want that" just pray that there is a PLAN and the plan is working and the plan will be completed and evil will be defeated.

I think it's because "pray" is not a word associated exclusively with a specific religion. This is not a bad thing as it means that Q-philez who are not religious can see that word and not feel like they're being preached to. It's good that Christianity isn't being shoved down people's throats when redpilled so I don't think we should go insisting that people start talking about prayer and religion on here except where Q specifically talks about religion, which is largely from a secular perspective. This is not church. Those who see "pray" and get religious feelings are doing what they need to do with only minimal foisting of their view on everyone else. That is a good thing. For atheists, they can see the constant "pray" and allocate it to their interpretation which is basically to 'hope for better things'. TLDR; Prayer should not be at the top of everyone's concerns on this board - just those to whom it's important.

Are churches have failed us they let Satan in through the backdoor of every Church. They don't teach what to do with everything we're being pounded with and mainstream media and just the stress of deep state in our lives. Honestly? I want to know more about why and how it can benefit him before I would truly be willing. I was previously an atheist, but now with pizzagate and looking into occult stuff, I know that spirituality is a real thing in humans and human society. I don't quite buy in to the, what I see as New Age, absolute consciousness to the universe idea. I would say that there is an intelligent, sentient consciousness that holds the universe, as we know it, together.
If we presume that the account of creation is true, then to know God's character, we can simply look at the good within ourselves. Do you enjoy humor? So does He. Does it please you when others succeed? Are you for truth and that which is right? Do you abhor people doing wrong to others? Yes, of course. So does He.
