The investigators will include data from 5 weeks of pre-intervention, 6 weeks of intervention, and 4 weeks of post-intervention.

Weekly Vaccination Rate = Total residents receiving a first dose that week / Total residents in that zip/county/city code as measured by the Census or other official sources, at the most recent date available for all geographies of interest.

The Arizona suffered more loss of life than any other ship at Pearl Harbor, with 1,177 dead. More than 900 went down with the ship and have remained entombed there ever since.

 

As with remains on other sunken ships, the Navy considers those aboard the Arizona to be in their final resting place. The families are not advocating for them to be removed and identified.

 

The issue is what to do with the 85 Arizona unknowns buried in a Hawaii cemetery. It emerged in February when the director of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, which is tasked with finding and identifying the remains of U.S. service members from past conflicts, was asked during a Facebook Live meeting when the agency would disinter them.

Kelly McKeague said his agency had spoken to the Navy about exhuming the Arizona unknowns and moving them to the ship without identifying them first. McKeague said it didn't make β€œpragmatic sense” to identify them.

That outraged some families who feared the 85 remains would be placed on the sunken battleship without ever being identified.

 

The agency has since said it doesn’t plan to move the cemetery remains onto the ship. Rear Adm. Darius Banaji, the agency’s deputy director, said that was just a possibility discussed informally a few years ago.

 

This technique would help the lab distinguish between individuals even when it's only able to extract tiny fragments of DNA. DNA profiles from this technique could theoretically be used for the kind of investigative genetic genealogy work that Stratton advocates.

Tim McMahon, head of DNA operations for the Defense Department, said researchers could take samples that failed to find matches in the lab's in-house database and upload those to publicly available, private-sector DNA databases to look for potential cousins or other relatives. Genealogists could then study marriage licenses, birth records and other documents to make closer potential matches, which would then have to be confirmed with additional DNA tests.

 

Using such databases raises privacy concerns because relatives of the missing may not want their family's genetic information shared. The military would need to develop policies to protect privacy β€” for example, by potentially allowing researchers to upload an anonymous DNA profile of an unidentified serviceman.

 

But first, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency would have to decide that it wants to identify the Arizona unknowns.

 

For Stratton, it would be worth it.

Yara Sells Salitre Phosphate Mining Project in Brazil for $410 Mln

Norwegian fertilizer producer Yara ASA said late Sunday that it has agreed to sell its Salitre phosphate mining project in Brazil to EuroChem Mineral & Chemical Co. for $410 million in cash.

 

The company said that progress at the project has been impacted by Covid 19 and the estimated capital expenditure required to reach completion is of a similar magnitude to the divestment value.

 

"Yara's ongoing transformation has a strategic focus on food solutions, premium products and enabling the hydrogen economy," it said.

 

"The Salitre divestment therefore supports Yara's transformation by reallocating capital and risk appetite in the coming years towards Yara's strategic focus areas."

 

Yara expects to recognize an impairment charge of around $400 million in the third quarter from the sale.

Brief analysis

The Telegraph’s Investigations Team have published a front page exclusive story on the two pandemic documents.

 

NHS England have issued a statement to the Telegraph: β€œThe NHS was asked to produced this discussion document based on a specific and extreme hypothetical scenario to inform the Government’s pandemic flu preparedness programme rather than for operational use and it did not form the basis of the NHS response to coronavirus.”

 

If these documents did not form the basis of the NHS response to coronavirus, then what triage plan did NHS England prepare for coronavirus and why have they consistently refused to share it with frontline NHS staff who have had to make very challenging decisions on the ground?

 

We encourage everybody to read the documents and make your own minds up.

 

NHS Surge and Triage document

The UK’s relatively modest intensive care capacity is recognised, and short-term emergency measures are considered to increase this, but NHS England makes no mention about a long-term plan to build pandemic resilience.

 

The decision to move to triage would happen when 6,500 out of a projected emergency 7,000 ICU beds were occupied.

 

Patients to be assessed on probability of survival rather than clinical need.

 

Age and β€œlife years saved” would be important in allocating care, for instance the document says β€œperinatal/maternal care plus childhood care being protected would have the greatest benefit”.

 

The document has an Annex which provides extremely useful guidance and specific clinical examples for healthcare professionals on the ground in a severe pandemic.

 

The document was discussed with the British Medical Association and Academy of Royal Sciences, and was planned for discussion with the Presidents of the Royal Societies, regulators and professional bodies. It was never discussed with the frontline NHS staff who would have to make these difficult decisions on the ground.

 

Adult Social Care document

The β€œvast majority” of UK adult social care is provided by independent private providers, and 91% of the workforce work in the independent sector.

 

There are 90,000 vacancies in the care sector, with high tunrnover rates of registered nurses and care workers.

 

There are significant gaps in the Government’s data on social care. They do not know how many beds are occupied. There is no national data which breaks down domiciliary care provided at home. Regarding the lack of data on community health services, the report says β€œthis data set is not suitable to model how a reasonable worst-case scenario pandemic will impact community healthcare demand”.

 

The document plans to use social care for β€œrapid discharge from hospital to maximise hospital capacity”, which we know happened during the first wave of COVID-19 with disastrous consequences. The social care document also plans to increase capacity in residential / care homes by installing extra beds in rooms. The document seems to make no allowance for risks of increased infectivity within care homes.

Fake video purports to show Australian Federal Police boss plotting to overthrow government

 

A man has been charged over the recording of someone claiming to be Reece Kershaw talking about plans to remove key members of the government

Hundreds of replica police badges have been seized and a Perth man arrested after an investigation triggered by a fake recording purporting to show Australia’s federal police commissioner describing a plot to overthrow Australia’s government.

 

On Monday, the AFP announced they had arrested a 49-year-old man from Tuart Hill in suburban Perth on the weekend after they allegedly identified his voice in a fake recording that went viral over the past two weeks in online conspiracy groups.

 

The recording purports to show AFP commissioner Reece Kershaw speaking about a secret unit of his force and how Australia’s government could be β€œdissolved”.

 

In the recording, a man claiming to be Kershaw says he had been approached by groups including the army about an intention to β€œbear arms on the government”, and how governor general David Hurley would be removed and replaced by a former political candidate.

 

The man was charged with impersonating a commonwealth public official, with police alleging he claimed to be an AFP official during an unsuccessful attempt to obtain stamps and ID badges bearing the official force’s logo from a commercial business.

 

He was bailed to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on 16 August. The maximum penalty for his charge is two years in prison.

 

Andrew Donoghue, AFP commander of investigations in the northern command, said the man was in contact with a group of like-minded people holding β€œanti-government views”.

 

Donoghue said his arrest was part of an operation carried out by joint counterterrorism teams – which comprise the AFP, the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation and a state police force – at homes across three states.

 

In Queensland, officers searched a home in Cairns where a member of the group lived after investigators had tracked three boxes of replica AFP badges ordered to the house. Officers found 470 of the replica badges dumped in a creek near the home.

 

Donoghue said he expects to lay further charges as investigations into the group continue.

 

β€œThese are people who believe our systems of government do not apply to them or are somehow illegal and must be usurped. I want to emphasise that this video is complete and utter nonsense, it is not from the AFP,” Donoghue said.

It's quite simple really, it's just an organized collective of psychopaths and generally mentally-ill individuals. Hay, so been testing out the covid pdf shit and i've ran into a stump. I cant for the life of me figure the fuck out how to print this shit double sided, each time I try to print this on a cardstock paper it prints on both sides, but the orientation of the front and back of the fake cofefe card is not right.
