While a lot of things should be going for the Democrats, the opposing party in the White House, history favoring the minority party in an off-year election, and the Leftโ€™s unhinged hatred for Trump, that intensity hasnโ€™t translated into filling the war chest for the Democratic National Committee. They just had their worst fundraising month (April) in a midterm year since 2006. As of right now, the DNC only has $3.4 million cash on hand compared to the $43.8 million the Republican National Committee has tucked away.

Stanley Huggins died in a plane crash June 23, 1994. The NTSB never released the results of their investigation. Huggins was the lead investigator looking into Madison Guaranty, which was run by James McDougal (number 20 in part 1). Here is the Clinton connection: Madison Guaranty made a number of bad loans, which led to McDougal being convicted of 18 felony counts of fraud conspiracy. Madison Guaranty was partnered with non-other than Whitewater Development Corporation (Whitewater scandal) owned partly by the Clintons. Madison Guaranty and McDougal hired Rose Law Firm to defend them, the law firm that employed Hillary Clinton who was their defense attorney. Another scandal arose from this when Mrs. Clintonโ€™s billing records went missing, sound familiar?

Last week, Inspector General Michael Horowitz told lawmakers that he had completed his draft report on the Clinton investigation and submitted it to the DOJ and the FBI.

 

In March, Horowitz said he would also look into allegations that FBI and Justice Department officials abused their surveillance powers by using information compiled by Christopher Steele, a former British spy, and paid for by Democrats to justify monitoring Carter Page, a former campaign adviser to Trump.

 

At the time, Horowitz said his office would look at those claims as well as communications between Steele and DOJ and FBI officials.

 

Over the weekend, the Justice Department announced it had asked the watchdog to expand that investigation by examining whether any improper politically motivated surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016 took place.

Before, scientists would grow cells for biomedical research by culturing them into flat sheets. But these were too simplistic to truly mimic the ways true cells behaved. More recently, researchers have had some success growing these cells into more complex, and three-dimensional, structures called mini-organs.

 

This new development, however, allows them to produce these organoids at a rapid pace. Itโ€™s the first time researchers have been able to mass-produce these mini-organs from stem cells.

Philip Wilson, the archbishop of Adelaide, is expected to be sentenced by the court in June. He faces a maximum penalty of two years in jail.

He was accused of covering up a serious indictable offense by another priest, James Fletcher, after being told about it in 1976 when he was an assistant parish priest in the state of New South Wales.

Lawyers for Wilson, 67, had argued that he did not know that Fletcher had abused a boy, Australian Broadcasting Corp (ABC) reported. Fletcher was found guilty in 2004 of nine counts of child sexual abuse and died in jail in 2006.

An emailed statement from the local court in Newcastle, New South Wales, said Magistrate Robert Stone ruled the โ€œoffense proven.โ€

Stone said he did not accept that Wilson could not remember a conversation in 1976 in which the victim, who would have been 15 at the time, had described how he was abused by Fletcher a few years earlier, the broadcaster reported.

Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk recently shared a new photo of SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft on his Twitter and Instagram accounts undergoing crucial tests.

 

The photo shows the Dragon capsule and its 'trunk,' which stores additional cargo and support systems, as they underwent electromagnetic interference tests.

 

As part of the test, the spacecraft is placed in a sound-absorbing anechoic chamber to make sure that its electrical systems are in good condition.

 

Anechoic chambers are specially designed rooms that completely absorb reflections of sound or electromagnetic waves and have been described as 'the quietest place on earth', similar to the environment you'd encounter in space.

 

Following the tests, the Crew Dragon ship will be sent to NASA's Plum Brook Station facility in Cleveland, Ohio, Musk explained in the post.

Ives and Henry are best known as โ€œThe Boys on the Tracks.โ€ They had gone out the night before to go deer hunting in the deep woods of Arkansas, but both boys were found dead on the tracks after having been run over by a train on August 23, 1987. Fahmy Malak, the Arkansas State Medical Examiner appointed by Bill Clinton quickly ruled the deaths โ€œaccidental,โ€ citing they use of marijuana for their likely being โ€œasleep on the tracksโ€ at the time of their death. Ivesโ€™ mother challenged the finding and a grand jury requested the bodies be exhumed and the deaths investigated. A second autopsy showed that Ives had been beaten with the butt of a rifle, and Henry had been stabbed multiple times in the back prior to being placed on the tracks. The area where they had been was a known drug air-drop zone for smugglers (like Barry Seal).

Clinton was pressured to review the mishandling of evidence in the first findings so he called in pathologists from out-of-state to review Examiner Malakโ€™s findings as well as the lab where the autopsies had been conducted. The conductor also noted the way the bodies were positioned on the tracks was not as if they had just passed out there, but rather that someone had placed them there. There were also rumors of an unidentified man loitering in the area wearing military fatigues, however it was never confirmed.

P.S. Ruckman Jr., who went by the twitter handle @pardonpower, was a leading expert on the presidential pardon power and clemency in general.

 

One of the things that made him such an authority was that he had painstakingly assembled, through countless hours of work at the National Archives, a comprehensive database of every pardon, commutation, respite and reprieve ever granted back to George Washington.

 

That data helped give me historical context for a number of stories I wrote about President Obama's use of his clemency power, for which I received the @PresGeraldRFord Foundation Award for Distinguished Reporting on the Presidency last year.

 

It was a great data set, and many times I asked if he wouldn't mind sharing it. But he said he was working on a book about the history of pardons and didn't want to release the data until that project was complete.

 

i kept in touch from time to time. Last year, when President Trump pardoned Joe Arpaio and people argued that it was unprecedented to pardon someone for contempt of court, Ruckman sent me a list of dozens of people pardoned for contempt back to President John Adams.

 

Still, I was a little surprised last Wednesday, when he emailed me the entire database โ€“ in separate spreadsheets for each presidential administration, more than 30,000 records in all. "Would want you to have this and use freely," he wrote.

 

I emailed him back right away, saying I was on deadline but would call him later. When he didn't call me back by Monday, I got worried. I checked his web site and Twitter feed. Then I googled him.

 

According to this @rrstar story, police found his body โ€“ and that of his two boys, aged 12 and 14 โ€“ at his home on Saturday, three days after the emails. The boys hadn't been in school since Wednesday.

I called the Winnebago County Sheriff, in case the emails help to establish his intent, or the timeline. Obviously, there are a lot of questions left unanswered, and the investigation continues.

 

I never met him in person, and can't presume to know what went so terribly wrong. I do know he was proud of his sons. Last year, he sent me a Youtube video of his 7th grader playing the National Anthem on guitar at a high school basketball game.

 

I also got the impression that his passion for the subject of pardons was rooted in fundamental Christian values of redemption and forgiveness. Tonight I'm struggling to reconcile those ideals with such an unpardonable act.

I think that once they get 'hired' to do a job like this they go around shopping it out to see if they can marry up secondary agendas.

 

The company SCL (parent of Cambridge Analytica ) is on record doing what the OP describes (they did not admit to any killing, mind you)
