FBI Retracts Report Labeling Trad Catholics Thought Terrorists

A leaked FBI report revealed that the Bureau’s Richmond, Virginia Division is investigating the threat of “white supremacy” among Catholics who prefer Latin Mass. Since the leak made headlines, FBI headquarters rescinded the report, claiming it does not “open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity.”

 

This seems to contradict the document itself, which says its findings are based in part on “liaison reporting.” According to the document’s whistleblower and former Special Agent Kyle Seraphin, liaisons “are overt contacts with trusted members of a community or an industry.” That suggests the FBI already has been investigating Americans based on “First Amendment protected activity.”

 

The January 23, 2023 document claims “Radical-Traditionalist Catholics” (RTCs) are “typically characterized by the rejection of the Second Vatican Council” (which allowed for Mass to be said in people’s spoken language) and their “adherence to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ and white supremacist ideology.” According to the FBI, the threat comes from RTCs increasingly fraternizing with “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists” (RMVE).

 

To further surveil “Radical-Traditionalist Catholics,” the document says the Bureau may potentially mitigate this “threat” with “tripwire and source development,” which means further infiltration into Catholic communities using various kinds of informants. The report also implies the FBI will begin monitoring social media posts for what it claims is “Radical-Traditionalist Catholics” ideology.

 

Terrible Sourcing

 

The FBI sources grounding the field office’s recommendation to increase federal surveillance of conservative Christians include two Salon articles, the infamous “rosary extremism” Atlantic article, and a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center — all left-wing sources, three of which were op-eds.

 

Nowhere in the document does the FBI explain how traditional Catholics pose a “violent” threat. The document offers only two pieces of evidence of an “overlap” between “Racially and Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists” and “Radical-Traditionalist Catholics.” One is that both groups are “[hostile] toward abortion rights advocates.”

 

For the second, the FBI cites an alleged collaboration between Nick Fuentes’ “American First/groyper Movement” and Church Militant, a Catholic media organization that has been hyper-critical of the Catholic Church’s handling of sex abuse cases and woke ideology infecting American bishops.

 

The evidence sources provide for the “overlap” between Radical-Traditional Catholics and “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists” include Fuentes’ supporters and Church Militant activists attending the same pro-life demonstration and Michelle Malkin speaking at Church Militant rally.

 

One of the Salon articles even has a quote from Church Militant founder Michael Voris explicitly stating there’s no association between Church Militant and America First: “Church Militant doesn’t align itself with any specific group in a formal way — including groups that are expressly Catholic,” Voris said at the time.

 

“Church Militant might partner with anyone in a particular effort to achieve a limited and shared goal,” Voris added. “In this particular case (Roe), yes. [Church Militant] will link arms with almost anyone who decries the horror of babies being hacked to death in their mothers’ wombs. Isn’t ‘linking arms’ the very thing Antifa and BLM and the Democrats do?”

 

The Federalist asked Voris if there have been any associations between Fuentes or America First and Church Militant. Voris responded: “Zero. Never has been.” …

The FBI Doesn’t Get Catholicism (or patriotism) 2 of 2

 

The document identifies “Radical-Traditionalist Catholics” as “typically characterized by the rejection of the Second Vatican Council,” and names several Catholic groups in schism, meaning in a formal break from the Catholic Church. However, Church Militant, the FBI’s only named organization allegedly flirting with racist extremists, ardently defends the validity of Vatican II and the vernacular Mass. A video posted to its YouTube channel just this week calls on viewers to avoid falling into schism at all costs.

 

The FBI’s fabricated association between traditional Catholics and white supremacy is even more bizarre given Catholic Church demographics. The word Catholic is derived from Greek and means “universal.” The Catholic Church is extremely multiracial, with North Americans and Europeans making up a minority of the global Catholic population. In the United States, Hispanics account for 40 percent of the Catholic population.

 

Voris told The Federalist the FBI should stick to “drug cartels and human trafficking” because its “theological analysis” is “off base.” He explained that the idea that Catholicism could coexist with white supremacy is ludicrous, given that Christianity teaches “every single person was made in the image and likeness of God and therefore has an inherent spark of the divine life and dignity within them, so you can’t hate anyone.”

 

A Pretext To Persecute Political Enemies

 

“The government right now is the one that our founders feared,” said Voris. Indeed, the FBI report justifies surveilling private citizens’ social media and infiltrating their religious communities without providing any legitimate or serious evidence for how they pose a “violent” threat. The only crimes the FBI field office could identify were thought crimes.

 

The Richmond bureau mentions surveilling Catholics’ response to “immigration, affirmative action, and LGBTQ protections,” things that under the First Amendment, Catholics are allowed to protest and reject.

 

Traditional Catholics are not white supremacists. Even if they were, racist viewpoints are protected under the First Amendment. The “groypers,” or the “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremist” group that the FBI is so focused on, also have a right under the Constitution to think and say whatever they want—so long as they aren’t violent. The entire report is an affront to constitutional rights and yet another reminder that the FBI is becoming nothing more than the intimidation and enforcement arm of the extremist Democratic Party.

 

The FBI wants Americans to believe this was an honest mistake. In reality, it’s extremely on-brand with the corruption and political targeting that’s become commonplace in the bureau. As far as we know there have been no major FBI investigations into Black Lives Matter and Antifa, two groups that torched American cities in summer 2020 and caused at least 18 deaths and more than $1 billion dollars in property damage.

 

There have also been only a handful of arrests and sparse investigation related to the nearly 100 attacks on pro-life organizations and churches at the hands of pro-abortion domestic terrorists in 2022. Meanwhile, peaceful pro-life activists have had their homes raided by federal agents and face lawfare, fines, and prison time.

 

The FBI launched the Russia collusion hoax against President Donald Trump by lying to a secret court about the credibility of Christopher Steele, the author of the debunked Russian disinformation dossier. The agency interfered in the 2020 election by preemptively branding the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation for Facebook (and likely other platforms) to censor. For years, the FBI also secretly pressured Americans into signing forms that relinquish their constitutional right to own, purchase, or even use firearms, and they even launched investigations into “terrorist” parents who express concerns at local school board meetings.

 

The FBI report that demonizes devout Catholics is not based on any “threat pictures,” as the analyst says, but on raw politics. This time, the target was traditional Catholics, but you can be sure they won’t stop with Catholics.

Zelensky Lashes Out After Starlink Cuts Off Ukrainian Drones

 

Elon Musk's SpaceX has blocked the Ukrainian government and its military from using Starlink technology to fly and control drones, after earlier in the war SpaceX gifted thousands of Starlink dishes to Ukriane to help the population stay connected to the internet.

 

SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell in a statement asserted that Starlink technology was "never meant to be weaponized". According to BBC, "She made reference to Ukraine's alleged use of Starlink to control drones, and stressed that the equipment had been provided for humanitarian use."

 

Shotwell confirmed that the 'surprise decision' was taken due to it never being the company's intent to allow Starlink to be used "for offensive purposes" in remarks given before a conference in Washington DC. Shotwell further said Ukraine had utilized the technology—

 

"in ways that were unintentional and not part of any agreement," according to Reuters.

 

After Musk provided the Starlink systems, the Ukrainian military quickly became dependent on them given the extreme battlefield conditions, including damage to existent communications infrastructure and frequent power outages. Additionally the Russians would often jam signals, thus Starlink allowed Ukrainian troops to circumvent these factors.

 

The Wednesday announcement from SpaceX was met with anger in Kiev, after already there's been an avalanche of Ukrainian government criticism aimed at Musk personally over his 'Russia-Ukraine peace poll' offered in October. As Bloomberg observed during that prior spat and tensions, Musk's tweets were "drawing the wrath of Ukrainians" merely for his proposing a negotiated solution which involved territorial concessions for the sake of lasting peace.

On this day (February 9) nearly 60 years ago, the Beatles landed on The Ed Sullivan Show and popular music would never be the same.

 

Millions gathered around their black-and-white televisions in 1964 for the Beatles’ debut on the variety show. The appearance by the Mop Tops was their first in front of an American audience. It was seen by an astonishing 73 million people. It was the first time in seven years Sullivan hit No. 1 in the nightly ratings (typically, he garnered some 21 million viewers). The moment also started “Beatlemania,” which swept the nation and soon the globe. The Beatles, who were inspired by blues artists and early rockers like Little Richard, had officially arrived. The Beatles landed on The Ed Sullivan Show because the program’s talent booker, Jack Babb, had seen them twice in concert in the U.K. in 1963. Babb had been invited by London talent agent Peter Prichard, who knew the Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein. Babb wasn’t quick to book the band, since British groups didn’t do especially well on American TV. But Sullivan himself later saw a crowd gathered for the Beatles at London’s Heathrow Airport and knew he had to get them on his show. The Beatles were booked for three shows. Securing a whopping $2,400 for the three gigs with Sullivan, two live and one taped. Ahead of the Beatles on the show, the group had released their debut single, “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 25, 1964, just two weeks before their Sullivan appearance.

 

Some 50,000 fans requested tickets to The Ed Sullivan Show but the theater only held 728 people.

 

Among those in attendance were Richard Nixon’s daughters, Julie and Tricia. According to NBC Sports, Olympic gold medalist Terry McDermott, who was also a part-time barber, posed for pictures and pretended to cut Paul McCartney’s hair. The Beatles played “All My Loving,” “Till There Was You” and She Loves You during their first appearance. Each member was shown up close on camera, including John Lennon, during which the television screen read, “SORRY GIRLS, HE’S MARRIED.” Later in the show, the band returned and performed two more songs, “I Saw Her Standing There” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” The Beatles, fulfilling their three-show obligation, also performed on February 16, garnering some 70 million viewers, and again on February 23, which had been taped on the ninth ahead of their first live performance on The Ed Sullivan Show. They also performed again on the show on May 24. In the aftermath, the band sold 2.5 million records from February to April 1964, according to Billboard. They subsequently became the first act to hold all top five spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

 

Numerous musicians have cited the Beatles’ debut on The Ed Sullivan Show as seminal in their lives, from Gene Simmons to Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Joe Perry, Nancy Wilson and more.

State Department Helped Fund ‘Disinformation’ Research Group That Reportedly Blacklists Conservative News Sites

 

The U.S. State Department, through its Global Engagement Center (GEC), helped facilitate funding for a group that reportedly works to demonetize sites it claims are disseminating “disinformation,” including conservative news outlets, according to its website.

 

The Global Disinformation Index (GDI), a United Kingdom-based nonprofit that styles itself as a “non-political” monitor working to “disrupt the business model of disinformation,” lists as a funder the Disinfo Cloud, a now-shuttered GEC project. However, GDI has worked to demonetize conservative news sites by collaborating with ad exchanges to flag alleged purveyors of disinformation, the Washington Examiner reported Thursday.

 

GDI maintains a “dynamic exclusion list” of the worst offenders of disinformation online, according to its website. The organization then provides this list to ad tech companies, which can then “defund and downrank these worst offenders” and thereby defund sites allegedly promoting disinformation.

 

While the exclusion list isn’t publicly available, popular conservative news site Breitbart is on the list, according to the Examiner, and it is “plausible” that any of the “riskiest” outlets would also be on the exclusion list, according to a member of the GDI advisory panel who spoke to the Examiner.

Biden Appointed Member Of Alleged Chinese Communist Front Group To Rep US Business In Asia

 

Dominic Ng, CEO of East West Bank, whom President Joe Biden appointed to represent the U.S. at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, is a current and former member of two alleged front groups serving a “Chinese intelligence service,” a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found.

Ng served as “executive director” of the China Overseas Exchange Association until 2017 and still serves in that capacity at the related China Overseas Friendship Association, according to DCNF translations of those groups’ archived rosters.

“The FBI should immediately launch an investigation into Mr. Ng,” Texas Republican Rep. Lance Gooden told the DCNF.

 

President Joe Biden appointed an alleged Chinese Communist Party (CCP) front group member to represent U.S. business interests in Asia, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found.

 

In April 2022, Biden appointed Dominic Ng, CEO of East West Bank, to a one-year position representing the U.S. on the Business Advisory Council of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), after Ng donated $100,000 to the Biden Victory Fund and $35,500 to the Democratic National Committee in 2020, Federal Election Commission records show. However, Ng’s donations to Biden’s campaign and his current appointment overlap with his membership in an organization which several China experts have identified as a front group for a Chinese government intelligence agency, according to DCNF translations of archived membership records.

 

Likewise, Ng was also previously a member of another alleged front group, the DCNF found.

 

“President Biden ignored Dominic Ng’s extensive ties to the CCP and Chinese intelligence groups, happily took his campaign donations, and in return appointed a possible Chinese spy to a senior government position,” Texas Republican Rep. Lance Gooden told the DCNF.

 

Ng, APEC and East West Bank did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

 

Ng served as “executive director” at the China Overseas Exchange Association (COEA) between 2013 and 2017, before beginning a five-year position with the same title at the related China Overseas Friendship Association (COFA) in 2019, where he apparently remains a member, according to a DCNF translation of archived membership records.

 

Both COEA and COFA, which merged in 2019, are considered fronts groups for the United Front Work Department (UFWD), a CCP agency responsible for both influence and intelligence operations, according to reports from the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC). Multiple experts who spoke to the DCNF agreed that both COEA and COFA are UFWD fronts.

 

“A person who holds a position in COFA or COEA, including provincial branches, and works in any U.S. government agency should not be allowed access to any sensitive information, and, in fact, will have divided loyalties at best,” Clive Hamilton, author of “Hidden Hand: Exposing How the Chinese Communist Party Is Reshaping The World,” told the DCNF.

 

Members of COFA and COEA are “expected to carry out influence work overseas to advance the objectives of the Party,” Hamilton said.

Harvard University Professor and Two Chinese Nationals Charged in Three Separate China Related Cases

The Department of Justice announced today that the Chair of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department and two Chinese nationals have been charged in connection with aiding the People’s Republic of China.

 

Dr. Charles Lieber, 60, Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University, was arrested this morning and charged by criminal complaint with one count of making a materially false, fictitious and fraudulent statement. Lieber will appear this afternoon before Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler in federal court in Boston, Massachusetts.

 

Yanqing Ye, 29, a Chinese national, was charged in an indictment today with one count each of visa fraud, making false statements, acting as an agent of a foreign government and conspiracy. Ye is currently in China.

 

Zaosong Zheng, 30, a Chinese national, was arrested on Dec. 10, 2019, at Boston’s Logan International Airport and charged by criminal complaint with attempting to smuggle 21 vials of biological research to China. On Jan. 21, 2020, Zheng was indicted on one count of smuggling goods from the United States and one count of making false, fictitious or fraudulent statements. He has been detained since Dec. 30, 2019.

Former Vice President Mike Pence has been subpoenaed by the special counsel overseeing investigations into efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the results of the 2020 election, according to a person with direct knowledge of the event.

 

The subpoena to Pence as part of the investigation by special counsel Jack Smith was served in recent days, according to the person, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Thursday to discuss a sensitive issue.

 

The extraordinary scenario of a former vice president potentially testifying against his former boss in a criminal investigation comes as Pence considers launching a 2024 Republican presidential bid against Trump. The two have been estranged since a mob of Trump’s supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, in an attempt to stop Democrat Joe Biden’s victory.

FTX Bankruptcy Lawyers Channel their Inner Sam Bankman-Fried – Bill $21,000 for their Meals Over Just 20 Days

 

The shenanigans going on in Judge John Dorsey’s bankruptcy courtroom, which is overseeing the FTX bankruptcy proceedings of Sam Bankman-Fried’s collapsed crypto empire, are reaching levels that should be attracting the attention of federal prosecutors. The head of the newly-created FTX Task Force, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, has called the looted FTX customer accounts “one of the biggest financial frauds in American history.”

 

On Monday, February 6, the lead counsel in the bankruptcy case, Sullivan & Cromwell, and its hand-picked CEO for FTX, John Ray, argued vehemently against the appointment of an independent examiner in the FTX matter. The independent examiner has been requested since December 1 by the U.S. Trustee, who works for the U.S. Department of Justice. Sullivan & Cromwell law partner, James Bromley, and Ray, cited the high cost likely to be charged by the independent examiner as one of their arguments against the appointment.

 

The very next day, Tuesday, February 7, Sullivan & Cromwell submitted a compensation request for $7.6 million in legal fees for 19 days work in November, plus $105,000 in expenses. As part of those expenses, Sullivan & Cromwell included a request to be reimbursed for $7,202.19 for “Conference Room Dining,” and $1,840.00 for “overtime” meals. Accentuating the increasingly tone deaf nature of this law firm, just a few months ago Sam Bankman-Fried was making headlines for spending $2500 on lavish lunches for himself and staff while his customers’ accounts were being looted.

 

Bromley, who was so concerned about the cost that might be incurred if an independent examiner was hired, billed at an hourly rate of $2,165 for a total of $381,689.50 in legal fees for the period of November 11 through November 30, 2022. Another Sullivan & Cromwell law partner, Andrew Dietderich, also billed at an hourly rate of $2,165 for a total of $465,042.00 over the same span of time. (Emails recently surfaced in another crypto bankruptcy case where Dietderich had written in an email to a different law firm on November 7 that FTX was “rock solid.” FTX halted customer withdrawals the next day and filed bankruptcy on November 11. As lead counsel in the FTX bankruptcy matter, Sullivan & Cromwell is well aware that the bankruptcy estate is missing $8 billion of looted customer funds. What it bills is highly likely to reduce what the defrauded customers get paid.

 

Sullivan & Cromwell’s $7.6 million in legal fees for 19 calendar days comes out to $400,000 per day. Annualized, that’s $146 million over the course of a year. The bankruptcy proceeding is expected to last as long as two years.

 

Another compensation request filed on Tuesday was from a firm advising FTX on restructuring, Alvarez & Marsal. Its legal fees for 20 days in November came in at $5 million while expenses tallied to more than $180,000. Its FTX team devoured meals worth $12,324.88 for which it requested compensation.

Chuck Grassley: Whistleblowers Say FBI Has Evidence Joe Biden Involved in Family Business Schemes

 

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who testified Thursday before the House’s new Select Subcommittee on Political Weaponization, said whistleblower disclosures indicate the FBI has evidence that President Joe Biden is aware of the family business schemes, a statement that directly contradicts the president.

 

Joe Biden and his staff have claimed seven times that he’s had no part in the family business schemes.

 

“I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings. Here’s what I know — I know Trump deserves to be investigated,”Biden claimed in 2019.

 

But Sen. Grassley, speaking before the first “Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government” hearing, told House members that whistleblower disclosures “make clear the FBI has within its possession very significant, impactful, and voluminous evidence with respect to potential criminal conduct by Hunter and James Biden.”

 

“These disclosures also allege that Joe Biden was aware of Hunter Biden’s business arrangements and may have been involved in some of them,” Grassley added.

 

It is unclear why the FBI has not acted on the alleged evidence.

 

The FBI is in possession of Hunter Biden’s infamous “Laptop from Hell,” which has caused many to dub the Biden family the “Biden Crime Family.”

 

According to a recent survey, 61 percent of voters believe it is likely Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son Hunter’s overseas business deals, including at least one involving a company in mainland China. Forty-four percent say it is very likely.

 

Evidence from business deals in Russia, Ukraine, and China supports the public’s opinion. In one example related to Ukraine, Joe Biden made an appearance at the Council on Foreign Relations, where he spoke about threatening to withhold military aid to Ukraine in 2016. Biden, then-vice president and “point person” on Ukraine, explained the tactic was to force the firing of prosecutor Viktor Shokin. The prosecutor was at that time investigating Burisma.

 

Hunter joined the board of Burisma in April of 2014, just two years before Joe Biden stated he forced the firing of the prosecutor investigating Burisma. Hunter had no previous experience in Ukraine or the energy sector. Nevertheless, Hunter was paid $83,000 per month by the energy company — just weeks after his father was announced “point person” on U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine, according to Peter Schweizer, senior contributor at Breitbart News, detailed in his book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends.

 

The timeline of events reveals a scenario many suggest is a quid pro-quo, a plot that House Democrats leveled against former President Donald Trump’s “perfect” phone call with the Ukrainian president.

 

In a second instance, Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter, personally met with Joe and Hunter Biden in 2017 for an hour to discuss “the Bidens’ family business plans” for a Chinese energy deal. That deal appears to have never been finalized. Bobulinski has handed over intelligence about the deal to former FBI “point man” Timothy Thibault, who reportedly buried the information. The deal included ten percent “held by H for the big guy,” who Bobulinski said was Joe Biden.

 

House Republicans are investigating the Biden family for nine potential violations, including tax evasion, wire fraud, and money laundering. Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chair of the Oversight Committee, has requested the U.S. Treasury hand over 150 bank documents flagged by U.S. banks that would provide clarity on how the money flowed within the Biden family business ventures.

 

The Treasury has denied Comer’s request, causing the committee’s chairman to threaten a subpoena.

 

In addition, Comer has asked Hunter Biden for relevant documents and communications concerning his probe. Hunter has also denied access, citing “no oversight bases.”

 

It is unknown what the next steps are for Comer’s investigation. With the Republicans in the House majority, Comer could try to compel the relevant information through a subpoena.

They (the inet barroons) were based out of the closed Castle AFB in the central Valley in CA and since they leased a big portion of Moffett Federal Airfield in 2014 they probably just moved it there. It used to be NAS Moffett Field.

So with all that said, whatever the tests of honor and humility God puts them through, by placing them in powerful positions, very few are successful.

Peltz confirmed an end to his clash with the Mouse House’s board of directors after CEO Bob Iger announced a sweeping initiative to shave $5.5 billion in costs and slash 7,000 jobs on Wednesday.

“This was a great win for all the shareholders,” Peltz said on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.”

“Management at Disney now plans to do everything that we wanted them to do. We wish the very best to Bob [Iger], this management team and the board. We will be watching. We will be rooting and the proxy fight is over,” Peltz added.

Disney cheered Peltz’s change of heart.

A raging fire gutted a Bronx grocery store and injured two people as flames could be seen shooting from the roof of the now-destroyed business Thursday night.

The five-alarm blaze broke out around 5:30 p.m. inside C-Town Supermarket on University Avenue in Morris Heights, according to the FDNY.

One person and one firefighter suffered minor injuries, the department said. More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze that extended throughout the building into Thursday night, officials said.

A store employee told NBC 4 he saw smoking coming from the top of the building while the business was bustling with shoppers before everyone fled.

A witness who lives near the fire said the flames were near other businesses, including a gas station.

ronx resident Frances Malcolm told The Post her apartment building at 1715 Nelson Ave. had to be evacuated because of its proximity to the fire. She said officials could not tell her how quickly she and others could go back inside.

“My building, the people on the back, which is closer to C-Town where the fire started, they got smoke damage,” Malcolm, 69, said.

She said she was actually on her way to the supermarket but quickly turned around.

“I asked this gentleman, I said, ‘Sir, what’s going on,’” Malcolm said. “He said ‘I think C-Town’s on fire.”

Word first broke on the Twitter last night about a board coup inside the Project Veritas organization led by Matt Tyrmand, a rabid advocate for Ron DeSantis and part of the 2024 influence operation. [TWITTER Source]

 

According to the leaked information, Matt Tyrmand organized a six-hour confrontation session against Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, culminating in a decision to put O’Keefe on leave.

 

“The board held a six-and-a-half-hour struggle session vs James where they subjected him to constant derision and insults. At the insistence of Tyrmand, O’Hara, and Hinckley; “about ten employees aired their grievances about James, which essentially boiled down to him being a tough boss to work for. At the end of this six-hour struggle session, Tyrmand and fellow board member John Garvey put him on leave and stripped him of all authority.” (source)

James O’Keefe, the founder and chairman of Project Veritas, has taken a paid leave from the conservative nonprofit media organization as its board considers whether to remove him from his leadership position, according to current and former employees of the organization.

 

An internal message sent to Project Veritas employees by the organization’s executive director, Daniel Strack, said that O’Keefe would be taking “a few weeks of well-deserved PTO.” An image of the message was shared by a source familiar with the organization’s internal operations, and its authenticity was confirmed by a current employee. When reached for comment on his personal cell phone, O’Keefe said nothing in response and did not respond to follow-up calls and text messages. (source)

 

Considering the recent explosive undercover work against Pfizer, it is not out of the question, heck, it might be likely – that the Big Republican Club is at work against O’Keefe.

 

Remember, big corporate donors like the Koch Donor Trust are attached to Project Veritas and simultaneously attached to Ron DeSantis. This could be where DeSantis operative Matt Tyrmand connects the issues between Big donors (Koch), Big Pharma (Pfizer), and Big Club (DeSantis) motives.

 

However, Occam’s Razor could also apply in that an untrustworthy, backstabbing dirtbag and ankle-biter like Matt Tyrmand just happens to find a natural ideological alignment with Team DeSantis.

Republicans push to end Ukraine aid

The lawmakers argued continued US military aid to Ukraine is “inadvertently contributing to civilian casualties”

 

Republicans in Congress have introduced a resolution seeking to halt US aid to Ukraine, citing the massive cost to taxpayers, the risk of escalation with Moscow and the toll on America’s own arsenal after some $30 billion in arms transfers.

 

Led by Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, 11 Republicans put forward the “Ukraine Fatigue Resolution” on Thursday, which states that Washington “must end its military and financial aid to Ukraine” while urging “all combatants to reach a peace agreement.”

 

“President Joe Biden must have forgotten his prediction from March 2022, suggesting that arming Ukraine with military equipment will escalate the conflict to ‘World War III,’” Gaetz said in a press release announcing the resolution. “We must suspend all foreign aid for the war in Ukraine and demand that all combatants in this conflict reach a peace agreement immediately.”

 

Arguing that the United States is in a period of “managed decline,” Gaetz said the problems will only get worse if the government continues to “hemorrhage taxpayer dollars” in a foreign conflict.

 

The resolution includes a list outlining the staggering American military largesse for Ukrainian forces since last year, stating that “munitions donated to Ukraine have severely depleted United States stockpiles, weakening United States readiness in the event of conflict.” It went on to cite a recent report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies which found that, at the current rate of production, it will take more than 12 years to replenish the US stock of Javelin missiles, underscoring the strain on American arsenals.

 

Moreover, the lawmakers argued military support to Kiev was “inadvertently contributing to civilian casualties” on all sides, echoing previous comments from Gaetz, who has said the weapons would only “prolong the killing.”

 

Long a vocal critic of US aid to Ukraine, Gaetz’s resolution was joined by 10 Republican co-sponsors, among them Reps. Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Andy Biggs, Paul Gosar, Anna Paulina Luna, Mary Miller, Barry Moore, Ralph Norman and Matt Rosendale.

 

Though a growing number of House Republicans are increasingly wary of the aid – among them House Speaker Kevin McCarthy– senior lawmakers in the Senate have been more supportive. In December, Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell declared that “providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now,” claiming that view was broadly shared among the GOP.

US says it won’t consider sanctions relief for North Korea

Washington accused the DPRK of “provocation after provocation” while urging it to abandon its nuclear arsenal

 

The United States will not seek dialogue with North Korea or repeal heavy sanctions imposed on the country unless Pyongyang ceases alleged “provocations,” the State Department said, vowing to continue the penalties indefinitely.

 

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, State Department spokesman Ned Price was asked whether Washington should ease its sanctions on the DPRK and halt joint military drills with the South in order to “talk with North Korea.”

 

“We have an offer on the table to the DPRK for dialogue right now. This is an offer that the DPRK could have accepted over the course of nearly two years, and so far has chosen not to,” he said. “Instead, the DPRK has engaged in provocation after provocation, each one of which poses a threat to international peace and security in the region and potentially beyond.” (Only after Bidan stole the election when Trump and Kim had worked things out, what did you expect Ned, the Admin seems to want war around the world to cover up the crimes of the Bidan family)

 

Though Price did not elaborate on the offer made to North Korean officials, during the same press briefing he said the US continues to seek “the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” echoing a goal set by several previous administrations.

 

“We would like to see the DPRK engage in dialogue. But until and unless that happens, our approach will remain the same,” he said, adding that the US would continue to “coordinate closely” with allied forces in the region.

 

Pyongyang has repeatedly denounced joint military exercises between the US, South Korea and at times Japan, saying they are effectively rehearsals for an attack on the North. Price, however, insisted the drills have involved “defensive maneuvers” only, arguing they are necessary to demonstrate that the security of allies “remains ironclad.”

 

The State Department spokesman also briefly touched on a large military parade held in the North Korean capital on Wednesday, calling the event a “propaganda exercise” after stating he would not comment. The parade saw an arsenal of military gear on display, including Pyongyang’s newly developed Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). According to Ankit Panda of the US-based Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the parade featured more ICBM launchers than ever before.

 

The parade underscored growing military tensions in the region after a highly contentious 2022, which saw a record number of North Korean weapons tests and a flurry of joint drills by the US, South Korea and Japan, including the largest aerial exercise ever held between Seoul and Washington.

 

The United States maintains several layers of heavy sanctions on Pyongyang, imposing another round of penalties last December when US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said the White House is “committed to using pressure and diplomacy to entice North Korea into giving up its nuclear arsenal.”Pyongyang has insisted its weapons are needed to repel a potential attack by the US and its partners, but says they are for defensive purposes only.
