Migrants and homeless moved out of Paris ahead of Olympics

The authorities say the relocations are not related to the Games, claiming emergency accommodation centers have reached saturation

 

At least 500 migrants and rough-sleepers have been moved from the capital to rural areasand small towns in France as Paris gears up to host the 2024 Summer Olympics in July and August. The move is seen by humanitarian activists and some local authorities as anattempt to hide the homeless ahead of the event.

 

Some regional mayors have expressed concerns over the new arrivals to their regions. Serge Grouard, the mayor of Orleans in central France, with a population of around 100,000, confirmed to reporters on Monday that there were rumors the move was aimed at “cleaning the deck” in the capital before the Olympics.

 

Grouard said up to 500 homeless migrants arrived in the city without his prior knowledge. “I’m not certain, but obviously the coincidence is disturbing,” he added.New arrivals are offered three weeks in a hotel at the expense of the state, but are then left to get by on their own, he explained. The deputy =mayor of Strasbourg, Floriane Varieras, told AFP that she is facing similar problems==, calling the situation “opaque.” (So there are lot more than 500 homeless in Paris)

 

Some humanitarian activists have also linked the move to the upcoming Summer Olympics, claiming the government launched the campaign to make the French capital “more presentable.” “If the idea is just to hide misery and homelessness and to clear the air before the Olympics, it’s really not working on a humanitarian level,” Paul Alauzy of the NGO Medecins du Monde told Euronews.

 

The state’s regional security office reiterated on Tuesday that the recent relocations were the result of emergency accommodation centers reaching saturation, adding that the measure is unrelated to the Olympics.

 

Some of the relocated people also confirmed to Euronews that they were advised to change regions, with overcrowding given as the reason.

 

France received 167,000 asylum requests in 2023, the second-highest numberin the EU, with migrants mostly from Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East.

 

With demand for short-term emergency accommodation far exceeding supply, makeshift camps regularly emerge around the capital and are periodically raided and broken up by police.

 

France would not be the firsthost of the Olympics to reportedlyresort to these types of measures. In 2008, Beijing’s Olympics clean-upsaw hundreds of beggars and homeless people ousted from the streets, with many shipped back to their home regions. Rio de Janeiro’s homeless were forced out of tourist areas when Brazil hosted the Games in 2016.

Kremlin responds to Zelensky’s remarks on talks with Russia

The Ukrainian president has suggested that a return to 1991 borders is no longer a precondition for negotiations

 

Ukraine must take into account the fact that its borders have changed drasticallysince the beginning of its conflict with Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said, commenting on the prospects for peace talks.

 

Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky suggested in an interview with CBS News that a return to 1991 borders was no longer a precondition for negotiations with Russia. However, he still insisted that Kiev must regain the territory it lost to Moscow in 2022. (What major illegal operations were going on in those territories?)

 

That year, four former Ukrainian territories – Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions overwhelmingly voted to join Russia in a public referendum. They followed the Crimean peninsula, which did the same in 2014 after a Western-backed coup in Kiev.

 

Following the 2022 referendums, Zelensky banned all talks with the current Russian leadership, focusing instead on a formula for ending the conflict that calls for a complete withdrawal of Moscow’s forces from all of the aforementioned territories.While Russia maintains it is open to talks with Kiev, it has dismissed that idea as “detached from reality.”

 

Commenting on Zelensky’s remarks, Peskov told RIA Novosti on Saturday that “the geopolitical reality has changed dramatically since the beginning of the special military operation.The borders of both Ukraine and the Russian Federation have changed.”

 

He further noted that Russia has already incorporated the four former Ukrainian regions, emphasizing that this reality “cannot be ignored.”

 

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova suggested that thechange in Zelensky’s stance is due to him being “nervous.” “He has an election coming up. Or no election?” she said. The Ukrainian president has previously indicated he has no plans to green light a vote, citing martial law, which has drawn criticism both at home and abroad.

 

Zelensky’s comments followed a statement by (Big Fat Crybaby) Ukrainian Foreign MinisterDmitry Kuleba, who said that Kiev might engage with Moscow at some point after a summit in Switzerland later this year, which is widely expected to revolve around Zelensky’s peace formula.Russia has said it does not plan to attend the event, even if officially invited.

Haifa, Israel, December 18, 2019 – Elbit Systems announced today that NANOVA™, the Company’s nanosatellite was successfully launched to space. NANOVA was developed in collaboration with a U.S. company as part of the BIRD foundation initiative and is planned to be a part of a nanosatellite constellation for commercial purposes. NANOVA will be operated from a ground control station set up at the Company site in Haifa, Israel.

 

The NANOVA nanosatellite was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in the South of India, onboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. NANOVA was set out to its orbit 18 minutes from launch at an altitude of 580 kilometers.

 

NANOVA is a 3U (the size of a juice carton), 5kg CubeSat that hosts an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) communication payload providing a direct satellite link for data, voice and text messaging.

Defense policy chief John Plumb to step down in May

WASHINGTON — Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy John Plumb will be stepping down in May, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed March 29.

 

Plumb is leaving his post two years after being confirmed as the first assistant secretary of defense for space policy, a position that Congress established in the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act.

 

In a statement, a spokesperson confirmed that Plumb “announced to his team his intent to depart in early May,” but did not elaborate further.

 

Plumb’s portfolio includes space policy but also nuclear weapons, cyber, missile defense, electromagnetic warfare and countering weapons of mass destruction.

Plumb, a former Aerospace Corp. executive, was nominated by President Biden in July 2021 and confirmed by the Senate in March 2022.

 

Most recently, Plumb has overseen the drafting of a commercial space integration strategy. “It’s an exciting time for innovation in space and there’s major opportunities for the department to leverage,” he said.

 

With regard to space security, Plumb has worked on efforts to develop “norms of behavior” in the space domain, and has voiced concerns about China’s and Russia’s developments in anti-satellite weapons.

As the FBI agent who ran the investigation into the LAPD’s alleged role in the March 9, 1997, murder of hip-hop legend the Notorious B.I.G. outside the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Phil Carson knows things no one else knows. He knows what’s hidden in the heavily redacted case files released by the Bureau in 2011; he knows how it happened; and he knows who did it. And he’s never revealed any of it publicly, to anyone—until now.

 

Carson retired from the Bureau in September 2017, almost two decades after Biggie Smalls, born Christopher Wallace, was shot dead. Carson worked on some of the FBI’s most challenging public corruption cases, but keeping quiet about the Biggie case has, in a way, been his most difficult task.

 

“You have no idea,” Carson told The Daily Beast in a series of exclusive interviews. “It didn’t just eat at me a little bit—it tore me apart pretty good.”

 

The LAPD, “all the way up to the very, very top,” did their best to protect the dirty cops Carson believes helped orchestrate Biggie’s murder. As part of that effort, powerful forces launched what Carson described as a campaign to assassinate his own character. According to Carson, these forces included the Los Angeles Times, the City Attorney of Los Angeles, members of LAPD Chief Bill Bratton’s inner circle, and cops in the department’s famed Robbery-Homicide Division.

 

“I can prove to you how they not only knew what was going on, but how they obstructed this case, how they derailed it,” said Carson. “I was young enough and naive enough not to realize how big and powerful these people were.”

 

“I’m glad Phil Carson, whatever’s heavy on his heart, is coming forward and letting the truth be known,” said “Big Gene” Deal, a bodyguard for Sean “Diddy” Combs who witnessed the shooting and met with Carson multiple times as part of the FBI investigation. “Phil was a straight shooter. By him coming out and doing this right here, it makes me feel good.”

 

Carson grew up near Seattle, where he led his high school to the state soccer title. He accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Washington in 1982, where he earned a degree in business and finance. Carson and one of his fraternity brothers spent the summer after graduation backpacking around Europe.

 

Upon his return home, Carson decided he’d had enough of Seattle weather, so he packed up his ‘66 Mustang and drove to Southern California. There, he got his securities licenses and became a financial consultant, then a bond trader. After nearly 10 years of managing money, Carson was restless. One day, he watched The Sting and The Untouchables, back-to-back. Inspired by the onscreen exploits of Special Agents Polk, Snyder and Ness, Carson applied for a job at the FBI. In June 1997, following 18 months of interviews, testing, background checks, and a polygraph examination, Carson reported to the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, for 20 weeks of new-agent training.

 

As is standard procedure, the witness list was submitted to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office; upon seeing Carson’s name on it, they called an emergency meeting with Carson and his bosses. On the morning of September 15, 2004, Luis Li, chief of the city attorney’s criminal branch, showed up at the FBI Los Angeles Field Office. Li told Carson and the gathered FBI brass that if he was subpoenaed to testify as a witness, the FBI needed to quash it.

 

“In the meeting, Luis Li said that if I were to testify in the civil suit that the LAPD stands a 50-50 chance of losing a $400 million dollar lawsuit and that the LAPD cannot afford that,” said Carson. “And I told everybody, ‘Hey, look, I never knew I was going to be on any witness list. I don’t want anything to do with this.’” (Li and the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office did not respond to requests for comment.)

No ‘direct threat’ from Russia – senior NATO officer

There are no signs that Russia is gearing up for an attack on NATO, the head of the bloc’s Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, has said.

 

Speaking to reporters in Riga on Friday, Bauer, who commanded the Dutch armed forces between 2017 and 2021, said that “there is no indication that Russia is planning to attack any NATO member state.”

 

While stressing that he did not think “there is a direct threat,”he suggested that “Russia’s ambitions go beyond Ukraine.” Bauer said that meant that the US-led military bloc should be better prepared for a possible stand-off.

 

He also weighed in on the upcoming US election in November, which is almost certain to be a re-match between former US President Donald Trump and incumbent Joe Biden.

 

The admiral said that he was not afraid of a Trump victory, explaining that the republican's controversial statements about NATO were directed not at the bloc itself, but rather at the fact that some members need to ramp up defense spending.

 

Speaking at a campaign rally last month, Trump recalled a conversation with an unnamed NATO leader while he was in office. According to his account, he told his counterpart that he would not protect his country from Russia unless it pays its defense bills.

 

Many NATO states have for years struggled to reach an agreed threshold of 2% of GDP for defense spending, but the process gained momentum after the start of the Ukraine crisis in 2014 and especially after Russia’s military campaign against Kiev began in 2022.

 

According to NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, a total of 18 members of the bloc are expected to meet the guideline in 2024. The NATO chief has also said that European members of the bloc will invest $380 billion in defense this year. (At this point NATO have 28, 29 members, so 10 countries are not meeting 2%)

 

This comes as numerous Western leaders have warned in recent weeks that Russia could unleash an attack on NATO within a few years. However, Russian President VladimirPutinhas dismissed speculation that Moscow could launch an offensive against the US-led military bloc as “utter nonsense” designed to “beat the money out” of the populations of Western countries.

Pentagon overspent $400 million in Ukraine aid – audit

The US Navy “did not have adequate internal controls to prevent overexecution” of allocated funds, the department’s watchdog has said

 

The US Navy has overspent hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to Ukrainedue to recurring accounting errors, according to a Pentagon watchdog’s report that warned the service branch may not have the funds to cover the shortfall next time.

 

The report released on Tuesday by the US Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (OIG) stated that “theNavy overexecuted its funding three times during fiscal year 2022”when it came to Ukraine supplemental assistance.(not an accounting error, guaranteed)

 

While the US Navy appropriated around $1.7 billion in funds to Ukraine, the watchdog found that the branch “overexecuted its allotment of Ukraine assistance funds… totaling $398.9 million.” The overspending was due to theNavy’s failure to address long-standing problems with its automated accounting system.(i don’t believe any of this.)

 

As a result, accounting errors had to be corrected manually on several occasions, leading the OIG to stress that “theNavy did not have adequate internal controlsto prevent over-execution of funds from reoccurring.” It added that the military branch also focused on identifying errors after they had already taken place, rather than preventing them.

 

The OIG warned that while the Navy had resources to cover the difference, “such funds may not be available in the future.”

 

While the US has become one of Ukraine’s most prominent donors, with Washington allocating around $113 billion to the embattled nation since the start of the conflict,major concerns have arisen about misuse of the funds.

 

An OIG report in January found that thePentagon did not properly track $1 billion worth of weaponsand other military equipment. This came amid the White House’s long-standing assurances that there was no evidence that weapons had been stolen, despite Ukraine’s reputation for rampant corruption.

 

Moreover, the Pentagon watchdog announced last month thatit had opened more than 50 cases into possible “theft, fraud or corruption, and diversion” of military aid to Ukraine.

 

One of the cases highlighted by Robert Storch, the OIG head, involveditems arriving in Poland before disappearing from a shipping manifestonce they were sent across the border into Ukraine.

 

Russia has consistently denounced the arms shipments and repeatedly warned of weapons spillover,alleging that the equipment finds its way onto the black marketand into the hands of organized crime and terrorists.

Life could exist on Venus after all – despite its toxic clouds

Continuing our hunt to find life in the solar system outside Earth, we turn our thoughts to Venus.

Specifically, the clouds of Venus.

Venus’s cloud layer extends 30-40 miles above the surface and, unlike its blisteringly hot and high-pressure surface, actually has milder temperatures that could support some extreme forms of life.

 

For years, many scientists thought life might be able to survive in the clouds, but more recently the idea has been rejected based on the highly toxic droplets of sulphuric acid found throughout.

Now however, a new study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has shown that the building blocks of life actually can survive in concentrated sulphuric acid – raising hopes that life could too.

 

The researchers found that 19 amino acids essential to life on Earth are stable for up to four weeks when placed in vials of sulphuric acid at concentrations similar to those in Venus’s clouds.

‘It doesn’t mean that life there will be the same as here. In fact, we know it can’t be. But this work advances the notion that Venus’s clouds could support complex chemicals needed for life.’

 

Previously, the team has also shown that some fatty acids and nucleic acids can remain stable in sulphuric acid, but the researchers emphasise that ‘complex organic chemistry is of course not life, but there is no life without it’.

This means that just, because Venus’s clouds may be able to support life, does not mean there is life in the clouds.

 

Life on Venus: the lowdown

Thirty miles up from Venus’ surface, the temperature is around 30-70C

Pressure here is similar to Earth’s surface

‘Extremophile’ microbes could exist in this temperature range

Some Russian Venera probes detect particles in Venus’ lower atmosphere about a micron in length, roughly the same size as a bacterium on Earth – but this does not mean life was found on Venus

Dr Sanjay Limaye, from the University of Wisconsin who was not involved with this study said: ‘Now, with the discovery that many amino acids and nucleic acids are stable in 98% sulphuric acid, the possibility of life surviving in [the clouds] may not be so far-fetched or fantastic.

 

‘Of course, many obstacles lie ahead, but life that evolved in water and adapted to sulphuric acid may not be easily dismissed.’

However, the team are well aware that Venus’s cloud chemistry is messier than test tube conditions, and still, more research needs to be done to study the trace gasses also found in the planet’s clouds.

The findings are published in the journal Astrobiology.

Foreign fighter in Ukraine confirms mercenary deaths

At least 20 Poles have died in battle, Piotr Mitkiewicz told RMF radio

 

At least 20 Polish nationals fighting for Kiev have been killed in battle, according to one soldier of Ukraine’s foreign legion, who spoke to Polish radio on Friday.

 

Piotr Mitkiewicz joined the ‘International Territorial Defense Legion of Ukraine’ in May 2022 and has frequently spoken to Polish media about his experiences. His latest testimonial was on Krakow-based RMF radio’s Morning Talk.

 

“There are not many,” he said when asked how many Poles were fighting for Ukraine. “I have been there the longest and I know most of those who are there. But I will say this: Up to 20 of us have died.”

 

Mitkiewicz’s estimate is far lower than official Russian accounts, however. Earlier this month, the Russian Defense Ministry put thenumber of Polish mercenaries killed since the start of the conflict at 1,497– more than half of the 2,960 that have enlisted for Ukraine’s cause.

 

The Polish mercenary also gave a harrowing account of what it’s like to be on the battlefield.

 

“Everything wants to kill you,”he told RMF. “There are mines under your feet. A man can get within 30 meters of you and throw a grenade. At 100 meters, there is a man with a [Kalashnikov]. There’s a guy standing 400 meters away with a heavy machine gun, he also wants to kill you. There’s a sniper 800 meters away. A tank is shooting from two kilometers away, and there’s artillery 10km away, also shooting at you.”

 

First Person View (FPV) drones are the latest battlefield horror, Mitkiewicz said, noting that they have “changed all tactics, changed this war.”

 

Commercial remotely piloted UAVs were initially used for observation,until both the Russians and Ukrainians began equipping them with improvised munitions. Purpose-built killer drones are now being used by both militaries.

 

Moscow has estimated that at least 13,387 foreign fighters have taken up arms on behalf of Kiev, of which 5,962 have been killed. While Poland has accounted for most of the mercenaries, theUS was second on the list, with 1,113 fighters – of which at least 491 have been killed, according to Russian military estimates.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister DmitryKuleba has claimed India’s ties with Russia have “no future,” unlike relations between New Delhi and Kiev. The Ukrainian diplomat met his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in New Delhi on Friday to seek support for Kiev’s ‘peace formula’ in the conflict with Russia, even though the plan has long been rejected by Moscow.

 

Speaking ahead of closed-door talks on Friday, Jaishankar said Kuleba’s visit “gives us an opportunity to understand the situation in your own region…Our teams have prepared a very substantial agenda for discussions.”There is also a “certain momentum” in the bilateral relationship between the nations, the Indian diplomat added.

 

“We paid specific attention to the Peace Formula and next steps on the path of its implementation,” Kuleba noted in a post on X (formerly Twitter), commenting on the discussions. The so-called peace formula proposed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in 2022 calls for the non-negotiable return of all of Kiev’s former territories, the withdrawal of all Russian troops without preconditions, and an international tribunal for Russian leaders.

 

On Thursday,Kuleba claimedin an interviewwith Indian TV channel NDTV thatNew Delhi’s relationship with Russia is based on the Soviet legacy, which is “extinct and has no future.” In contrast,Ukraine-India relations have “more [of a] future,” he insisted, while suggesting that India could “influence the way Russia behaves” because of its close ties to Moscow. Bilateral trade between the two countries surged to $65 billion last year, boosted largely by Indian imports of Russian oil.

 

Speaking in Malaysia on Wednesday, Jaishankar also reiterated India’s position that theUkraine conflict can only be resolved by diplomatic means. “We took the position from the start, thatyou’re not going to get a solution to this conflict on the battlefield,” he said. Last week, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi similarly advocated “consistent support” for peace efforts and “bringing an early end to the ongoing conflict” during a phone call with Zelensky.

 

In his interactions with the media, Kuleba stressed the importance of India’s voice as the leader of Global South, as Ukraine seeks to persuade New Delhi to participate in a peace summit hosted by Switzerland later this year. The date as well as the list of participants has yet to be announced.

 

“India can play a very important role in bringing together more nations from the Global South… if India sits at the table of the peace formula, the initiative put forward by Ukraine to find a diplomatic solution to the war, then many other nations will feel much safer and comfortable sitting next to India and they will come and join this effort,” Kuleba said. India, however, has been skeptical about peace talks that do not include Russia, Bloomberg recently reported, citing officials. New Delhi continues to maintain strong political and economic ties with Moscow despite Western pressure.

 

According to Moscow, that Zelensky’s plan includes a number of unrealistic terms, while legitimate Russian interests are being ignored. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova earlier this month saidMoscow has no intention of participating in a proposed peace conference, even if it is officially invited. "This forum will be dedicated to promoting the ultimatum ‘Zelensky peace formula,’ although its Swiss organizers pretend that they are looking for a common denominator in the peace initiatives of different countries,” Zakharova stated.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, according to the adage. AARO (the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office) seems a little bit unclear on that.

 

The recent statement of the official government “UFO Hunters,” AARO, is that it has not found any “empirical” evidence of any technology “not of this earth.” If by evidence one means incontrovertible, physical proof beyond any doubt, then yes, we have no evidence. If instead one uses a more reasonable definition, such as credible eyewitness accounts by experts, by means of air, ground, and radar observations, all at the same time and place, then there are massive amounts of evidence, and the reports keep coming in.

 

None of this is proof, but many of these data are indeed evidence.

 

AARO, almost from its beginning, has suffered from what might be called a lack of candor when making statements to the public. It dutifully reports, and correctly, that the great majority of UFO accounts are readily explainable as ordinary phenomena — but it gratuitously adds that those few that are not explained, probably could be, if more data were available. “Probably could be” is not a scientific statement and does not reflect the rigorous, disciplined analysis that AARO claims as its mantle. Moreover, it sounds very much as if its conclusions have already been reached beforehand.

 

For context, remember that AARO is dealing with subject matter that could change the course of human history. It deserves much more intensity than a routine procedural inquiry. If it actually does find, and reports, that there is a significant likelihood that even one UFO sighting, even without proof, is evidence of spacecraft from another planet — one cannot overstate the implications. AARO’s secondary mission, then, is to instill confidence in the public mind that it has no hesitation in reporting all the facts, accurately, no matter what they are, nor whose apple cart is upset.

 

Is it doing that?

 

No. From its beginning, AARO was openly disinterested in revisiting government records of past UFO reports and instead stated that it would be focusing only on new reports as they come in. In open testimony before Congress, some officials amazingly seemed unaware of the cumulative historical data that are available, much of it professionally documented, which might offer clues not only as to what UFOs are, but how best to proceed investigating them. When pressed, they reluctantly agreed to “look into” reports that congressmen specifically mentioned but seemed remarkably incurious. There was no indication that they would be turning over every stone. The attitude seemed to be that’s not my job, but if you really must insist, a routine inquiry will be made; we hope that satisfies you.

 

At the least, knowing what mistakes have been made in the past (such as intimidating witnesses, jumping to conclusions, and failing to gather all available data), can be used to create effective protocols and policies going forward. Numerous forensic clues for which technology did not exist in the 1950s might be applied now to what criminologists might call cold cases. Possibly, they could solve some of the most spectacular UFO sightings — for example, those that occurred over the White House decades ago. Doesn’t AARO consider that worth looking into? Apparently not.

 

That lack of interest in historical context is a glaring omission, which, AARO seems, appallingly, to shrug off.

 

It is no wonder, then, that some potential witnesses indicate a distrust of AARO and therefore will not report to it. If “the truth is out there,” then the bureaucratic attitude might be that’s a good place for it.

 

The situation is made more complicated by hordes of hoaxsters and UFO cultists, who clutter up the files with false and misleading reports. Unfortunately, there is a tendency to indict honest and competent reports by association with them.

 

The UFO phenomenon, whatever it turns out to be, if ever we find out what it is, may fall into the category of so-called “far out physics,” something so unlike what we might expect that we have nothing in our experience to which to relate it. Dark matter, dark energy, and singularities in the cosmos are in that category. Our best scientists have failed to solve those mysteries.

 

Until we get a reliable agency, with aggressive methods of getting at the truth, we may not know whether we are simply uninformed, perhaps by an incompetent agency, or being stonewalled. AARO can do much to dispel such notions, but only by expressing more curiosity about UFOs. In order to succeed, it needs to go where no investigation has gone before.

A "swarm" of mysterious drones has been spotted around a US Air Force base that is known to house nuclear assets. In this revealing video, Chris Lehto, a podcaster who often talks about UFOs, said that one of NASA's high-flying research planes was used to try and identify these strange crafts.

The objects seen in December are thought to have been controlled by a foreign power trying to gather information on America's most important defence sites. A spokesperson for Langley Air Force Base told the War Zone blog: "none of the incursions appeared to exhibit hostile intent but anything flying in our restricted airspace can pose a threat to flight safety."

 

Chris pointed out that the object's apparent target Langley Air Force Base regularly uses an area of sea off the coast of Virgina where former Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves claimed to have detected multiple "unknown objects" in US airspace

He added: "Graves said one of the objects was visually reported as 'a cube within a transparent sphere.' I'm a retired F-16 pilot I flew for 18 years and I've never heard of anything of that description particularly if it's flying in high winds.", reports the Daily Star.

Chris said that the area around Langley Air Force Base and the US Navy shipyards at Norfolk is where some of America's top warships are.

 

He said: "The incidents got so bad that additional assets were called in including the Whiskey Bravo 57F high-flying research plane that NASA owns.

"According to The War Zone this spate of bizarre drone incursions deeply underscores the still growing threats that uncrewed aerial systems [UAS] present on and off traditional battlefields."

People who love watching planes saw two air patrols ready for combat over the area in mid-December. They also saw the high-tech NASA plane flying perfectly round circles around Langley, even when the wind was really strong.

 

Now the reason why these air patrols were happening has been revealed. A spokesperson from the USAF said: "To protect operational security, we do not discuss impacts to operations.

"We don't discuss our specific force protection measures but retain the right to protect the installation. Langley continues to monitor our air space and work with local law enforcement and other federal agencies to ensure the safety of base personnel, facilities, and assets."

"There's tons of important assets here; nuclear assets as well just an amazing amount of military hardware is it actually China on the east coast of the United States? because that would be quite interesting. Or is it people operating drones just in the general area? Is that what sparked all this activity?," Chris pondered.

 

"Or, is it UAPs? Could it actually be UAP incursions are picking up or now they're actually taking them seriously? ".

Chris says that the incident is embarrassing for the US Air Force. "Its airspace getting penetrated for weeks on end is clearly not the best look especially after major lapses in domain awareness and air defence capabilities were recently spotlighted by the Chinese 'spy balloon' saga," he said.

Langley also houses two F-22 fighter planes that patrol the sky near Washington DC. "Naval Station Norfolk the largest naval base on the east coast," Chris said, while highlighting the other important military equipment at the base.

 

"It's home to roughly half of America's carrier Fleet and it's located just to the southeast a host of other military installations are also dotted throughout the broader area including Naval Air Station Oceana that's where Ryan Graves operated out of and that's the Navy's Master tactical jet base on the East Coast also has Navy special warfare's East Coast headquarters."

The War Zone noted that unexplained drone incursions have been logged at military bases across the US. They wrote: "Military aircraft are also routinely encountering drones in various test and training ranges and other restricted military operating areas. America's nuclear power plants have had very troubling encounters with drone swarms."

 

"Yet the frequency and nature of the incursions in Virginia sound eerily similar to the bizarre claims of unidentified drone swarms roving over the plains of Colorado in the Winter of 2019-2020."

"The government response to those incidents was something of a meek sideshow compared to what clearly occurred regarding the Langley incidents - a sign of just how much more seriously these incidents are being taken."

10 Revelations from Notorious B.I.G.'s FBI Files On Murder

 

Fourteen years after Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down, his death remains a mystery. But the case is still active, and the FBI just released a new cache of files on the rapper's murder case. Marlow Stern combs through them to unearth the 10 most shocking revelations.

On March 8, 1997, the world's number-one rapper, Notorious B.I.G. (real name: Christopher Wallace), presented an award to Toni Braxton at the 11th Annual Soul Train Awards in Los Angeles, where several members of the audience booed him. He then headed to the nearby Peterson Automotive Museum for an after-party, which the fire department shut down due to overcrowding. B.I.G. and his entourage left in a three-car motorcade at around 12:30 a.m. Sean (then "Puffy," now " Diddy") Combs, president of Biggie's label Bad Boy Records, was in the first car flanked by three bodyguards. B.I.G. sat in the passenger seat of the second Suburban, joined by two associates and his cousin. Behind Biggie's car was a Chevrolet Blazer, carrying Bad Boy's director of security.

 

At 12:45 a.m., when people were flooding the streets after leaving the party, the motorcade approached a red light about 50 yards from the museum. Combs' car sped through the light, while the other two vehicles stopped. A black Chevrolet Impala SS pulled up to the passenger side of Biggie's vehicle and an African-American male dressed in a blue suit and bow tie fired approximately six shots into the passenger side door of the truck, four of which hit Notorious B.I.G. in the chest. He was rushed to Cedar Sinai Hospital, and pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m.

 

It took the Los Angeles Police Department an entire month before assigning the case from the local police department to the Robbery and Homicide Division of the LAPD—a more elite task force that deals with high-profile murders. Then, the LAPD was accused of corruption in the handling of Biggie's murder case—several officers were investigated in connection with the murder, along with Death Row Records honcho, Suge Knight—reportedly as alleged retaliation for the murder of Death Row rapper Tupac Shakur, who was killed in a similar fashion six months before B.I.G.'s murder. Knight has repeatedly said he had nothing to do with Biggie's shooting. Biggie's mother, Voletta, brought a $400 million wrongful death claim against the LAPD/City of Los Angeles, but the case was dismissed. The investigation was closed after the LAPD and FBI dismissed information allegedly implicating two key suspects, despite suggestions of a treasure trove of evidence against them.

 

In January, however, four years after the investigation was closed, there was a major breakthrough in the case and the FBI reopened it. Below are the top 10 most shocking revelations from the recently released— and heavily redacted—FBI files on Biggie's murder.

 

1. IF THE CAR FITS…

 

LAPD Officer David A. Mack, a suspect in the case, allegedly drove a 1995 black Chevrolet Impala SS with chrome wheels—matching the description of the shooter's car. When police searched his home, they reportedly found a shrine to Tupac Shakur in his garage, five 9mm guns—the same type of weapon used to kill Biggie—and a stash of Gecko 9mm ammunition (also the same type used to kill the victim). Gecko 9mm ammunition, a metal-piercing bullet, is manufactured in Europe and rarely used in the U.S. Mack was reportedly suspected of being a Mob Piru Blood gang member with ties to Death Row Records. However, according to FBI files, Mack allegedly "thwarted the murder investigation" when several other LAPD officers "began to show up as potentially being involved." Mack was released from prison on May 14, 2010, after serving a 14-year prison sentence for robbing $722,000 from a South Central Los Angeles branch of Bank of America. He has denied any involvement in Biggie Smalls's murder.

2. THE REAL REASON BIGGIE WAS "GOING BACK TO CALI"

 

In April 2004, an informant claimed Tupac Shakur stated, "the west coast is [Shakur's] and that if 'Biggie,' who use to be a friend of Tupac's, ever comes out to the west coast, he will be gunned down." The informant also alleged that everything about the East Coast/West Coast rivalry was true, including that Tupac slept with Biggie's estranged wife, Faith Evans, and that Biggie had Tupac shot in New York. Evans has repeatedly denied having a sexual relationship with Tupac. At one point, the informant also claimed Tupac and his entourage approached a location where B.I.G. and his entourage were hanging out, bearing guns. The informant said they were told "not to shoot him," prompting Tupac to tell Biggie that if he ever came back to California, "he would be killed." The informant then attested that B.I.G. came out with the song "Going Back to Cali" immediately after Tupac was murdered, referring to their prior exchange.

 

3. THE LAPD'S DROPPED CALL

 

Shortly after the murder, an anonymous person placed a telephone call allegedly accusing LAPD Officer Mack of being involved in Biggie's murder, but the LAPD responded that there were over 500 people with Mack's name in the phone directory. The LAPD reportedly only realized the name matched an LAPD officer's in the write-up after reading an article in the June 7, 2001 edition of Rolling Stone magazine.

 

4. THE BODYGUARD-CRIPS CONNECTION

 

One of the motives proposed by an informant for B.I.G.'s murder was that the rapper owed a sizeable amount of cash to the Crips—a formidable L.A. gang—for bodyguard duties. Many members of the Crips were employed by a security company in California, to which Biggie allegedly owed money. However, another witness was later interviewed and claimed B.I.G. would only usually use one or two security men at events, described as "high tech guys, militia men or cops," none of whom were Crips.

 

5. MORE DRUG PEDDLING, MORE PROBLEMS

 

An informant divulged a strange theory to the FBI. According to the FBI's files, the informant suggested Death Row records&mdashwhich at the time, was run by Suge Knight&mdashallegedly owed Tupac Shakur $10 million in royalties. Furthermore, the informant said that Death Row had many of its artists, employees, groupies, and even the LAPD peddling drugs—allegedly buying cocaine for $14,000 per kilo on the West Coast and selling it for $24,000 per kilo on the East Coast. Several top artists reportedly left Death Row records because of the alleged practices, despite fearing for their lives. According to the FBI's records from the informant, since Tupac was owed so much money in royalties, the rapper was going to leave Death Row—taking un-released songs worth millions with him&mdashand blow the whistle on the drug operation. The records state that the informant also alleged that this Death Row employee made it look like L.A. Crips murdered Tupac and Wallace. Complicating matters, "in late 1996 or early 1997," the key witness in Tupac's murder, was, according to an informant, "executed from point blank range" in East Orange, New Jersey. He was allegedly killed by "16 and 17-year-old subjects," who, according to the FBI files, "apparently had an uncle or some other relative who lived in Los Angeles and was somehow involved with Death Row Records."

6. MARRIED TO THE MOB?

 

An informant claimed that Notorious B.I.G. and many of his cohorts had connections to New York City's Genovese crime family. According to the released files,the FBI speculates that they could have evidence of Biggie's shooting, but do not have proof of their hypothesis.

 

6. LACKING PEACE WITH THE MIDDLE EAST

 

While LAPD Officer Mack was investigated as a possible suspect in the events surrounding Biggie's death, Biggie's actual shooter was described by one informant as "a contract killer" with a "middle east sounding name" who was an ex-member of the Southside Crips gang. The shooter was allegedly then a member of "Fruits of Islam"— awing of the Nation of Islam, whose members sport distinctive blue or white uniforms, caps, and bowties. The suspect was a black male with short, cropped black hair, 6'1"-6'2", 220-230 lbs., and 29-30 years old. He was described as wearing a bow tie with a gray suit. On March 10, 1997, a composite artist—assisted by several eyewitnesses—completed a drawing of the suspected shooter in the case. On January 21, 1998, the FBI received a DMV photo from a redacted source that reportedly closely resembled the composite, believed to be Amir Muhammad (a.k.a. Harry Billups), another suspect in the case. Muhammad has said repeatedly he had nothing to do with Biggie's death. According to the FBI's files, another witness claimed that the Muslim shooter was not a real Muslim because he didn't greet people face-to-face, but was probably an LAPD officer because, "he knows a cop when he sees one."

 

8. STILL NOT ENOUGH PROTECTION

 

At the time of Biggie's murder, he reportedly had the following items on his person: 0.91g of marijuana, a pen, an asthma inhaler (Primatene Mist), and 3 magnum condoms.

 

9. DID THE BULLETS HIT THE WRONG MAN?

 

A later informant in 2004 suggested that Biggie was, in fact, not the intended target. The rapper would often walk around Los Angeles—go to the mall, go out to eat, go to the movies—without security, so he/she questioned the timing of the murder, in front of hundreds of eyewitnesses, since the rapper could have been killed at any time. However, according to the FBI's files, the informant did believe that the LAPD was involved. The police allegedly approached said informant with a strange picture of him/her with Wallace, and when the informant asked where they got it, the LAPD snatched it away. Later, when he/she asked LAPD officers where they were the night of the shooting, he/she got no response. The informant's lack of trust in the LAPD was reportedly augmented by the informant's observation that no police were around when the shooting occurred, despite it being a major award show after party with many celebrities in attendance.

 

10. DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS

 

Years after the murder, the FBI conducted 30-day mail and trash orders—going through a potential suspect's mail and trash for evidence—on a man in San Diego. The search yielded no evidence. Furthermore, the FBI reportedly investigated a blue 1996 Bentley registered to Houston, Texas, as possibly being in connection with the shooting, as well as a Houston rap entrepreneur, who was allegedly near the crime scene that fateful night. Police have not produced evidence associating the Bentley or the Houston entrepreneur with the crime.

As reported by TMZ, the Southern District of New York is extending its reach, issuing subpoenas to a network of corporations linked to Diddy. These include telecommunications companies and tech firms, with even aircraft operators being targeted in a sweeping collection of evidence.

TMZ reported:

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ subpoenas — all bearing Diddy’s real name, Sean Combs — were sent this week to various providers tied to the rapper, including his private charter jet, phone providers and computer companies.

 

We’re told the subpoenas were fired off by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York … which, as we’ve reported, is running the investigation.

Our sources say subpoenas will also be issued to commercial airlines, and possibly the FAA, just in case Diddy opted for commercial flights instead of his private jet.

As we reported, the feds’ goal here is finding out who flew on Diddy’s dime and where they went. They’re not only looking for alleged victims, but also any potential witnesses who could support or dispute allegations of human/sex trafficking.

 

What’s more … we’re told the subpoenas will enable feds to gather more intel about the nature of Diddy’s involvement with those various businesses.

Fertilizer killed more than 750,000 fish in Iowa and Missouri

A fertilizer spill this month in southwest Iowa killed nearly all the fish in a 60-mile stretch of river with an estimated death toll of more than 750,000, according to Iowa and Missouri conservation officers.

 

That is the biggest fish kill in Iowa in at least a decade and the fifth-largest on record, according to state data.

 

And it could have been worse: Fish populations were likely smaller than normal when the spill happened because of cold water temperatures and low river flows.

 

“Thank goodness, in a way, it happened when it did,” said Joe Larscheid, chief of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ fisheries bureau. “But this is a big one. It’s a lot of river miles that have been impacted.”

 

The spill originated at NEW Cooperative in Red Oak, Iowa, where a valve that either malfunctioned or was not properly closed leaked about 265,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen fertilizer, most of which went into the nearby East Nishnabotna River.

 

The leak happened on a weekend from March 9 to 11 in an area where the fertilizer is distributed to customers of the farmers’ co-op. That area is not required by state rules to have barriers that would prevent a leak from reaching the river.

 

The result was a widespread annihilation of aquatic life.

 

An Iowa DNR investigation found dead or dying fish for 50 miles of river — beyond where the East and West Nishnabotnas meet — all the way to the Missouri border. There were also numerous dead frogs, snakes, mussels and earthworms. Iowa will return in late spring to note whether the fertilizer killed turtles that had buried themselves in the river bottom for winter. Their bloated carcasses will float to the river surface.

 

Todd Meyer, of Shenandoah, Iowa, planned to fish the East Nishnabotna not long after hearing about the spill. River contaminations have happened in the area but have never impeded his boating trips on the east or west segments of the river.

 

For example: About a week after the fertilizer spill, gasoline overflowed from an underground tank at an Atlantic, Iowa, convenience store, and some of it went into the East Nishnabotna. That did not result in an apparent fish kill, the DNR said.

 

But after the fertilizer spill, “the whole river was full of dead fish,” Meyer recalled. “It was just nuts.”

 

Meyer used a drone to survey the dead fish in the East Nishnabotna River a few days after the spill.

 

Missouri finds ‘near total fish kill’

The carnage continued into Missouri, where the unified Nishnabotna River flows for about 10 miles before it meets the Missouri River.

 

Matt Combes, a science unit supervisor for the Missouri Department of Conservation, said there was “a near total fish kill” in that state.

 

“I can’t even think of another instance where a fish kill occurred out of state and moved into our state,” he said.

 

The department surveyed one bank of the river for about two miles and counted nearly 4,000 dead fish. It will use that sample to estimate the total number of fish that were killed, Combes said, which will likely be in the tens of thousands.

 

The department is continuing to monitor the Missouri and Nishnabotna rivers for additional effects from the contamination. It’s possible NEW Cooperative will face sanctions in both states.

 

The size of the fish kill in Iowa was estimated to be about 749,000, said Chris Larson, a fisheries supervisor for the Iowa DNR. Small fish such as minnows and chubs account for the vast majority of those fish, but among them were also about 7,700 channel catfish that anglers target.

 

Those who are responsible for fish kills typically pay restitution to the state based on the number and types of fish that die. Larson said a total restitution amount has not yet been solidified, but that the estimated value of the small fish is about $85,000. The value of the catfish would be about $115,000.

 

Those two figures combined would be the largest valuation for a documented Iowa fish kill, according to DNR data.

 

Others that have caused recent fish kills have typically paid fish restitutions and a fines of up to $10,000 — the maximum the DNR can order administratively. The department has the option to seek higher penalties in district court.

Surveillance Footage Exposes Polling Place Manager Bringing Blank Ballots into Lorain County Bar on Eve of Election, Investigation Underway

 

The integrity of the election process in Lorain County, Ohio has come into question after a polling place manager was captured on surveillance footage transporting blank provisional ballots into a local bar.

 

The Lorain County Board of Elections, the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), and the Ohio Secretary of State have launched a full investigation into the incident, Cleveland19 reported.

 

The video from the MAHD House Bar & Grille, which has since gone viral, clearly shows the poll manager entering with bags and placing them inside a booth, only to leave them unattended while he enjoyed a meal.

 

The owner of MAHD House, James Tucker, expressed his concern upon realizing what the bags contained.

 

“After he ordered his dinner, he went over and started stuffing these bags which we could see in them they said ballot on it and I’m like that don’t look right,” Tucker told 19 News.

 

“I’m telling you, when I seen it, I went, ‘this does not look right,’” Tucker said.

 

“I mean, we’re right across the street from the Lorain County Board of Elections. I’ve been here seven years, ain’t never seen nobody bring no ballot bags in. I don’t know what just happened, but I’m a little nervous,” he added.

 

Paul Adams, the Board of Elections director, assured the public that the matter is being taken seriously.

 

“That was a great concern for us and one of the reasons why that person is no longer in that role and has been replaced and been removed from his position,” Adams said.

 

“We generally direct our poll workers to take those home, keep those safe,” he added.

 

The individual in question, identified as Mark Provenza, a Democrat and a former city law director and veteran poll worker, purportedly visited the bar, situated across the street from the Board of Elections, while waiting for a ride. The Board claimed that the seals on the ballot bags remained intact, ensuring no tampering occurred.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is drawing criticism for saying that Israel is "the national state, not of all its citizens, but only of the Jewish people." The comment prompted many people — including Israel's president and the star of Wonder Woman — to defend Israel's Palestinian Arab minority.

 

Palestinian Arab citizens are about a fifth of Israel's population and often face discrimination and accusations of disloyalty.

 

The prime minister's comment set off criticism, debates over Israel's true nature — and observations that with Israel's legislative elections now less than a month away, Netanyahu's provocative language might be calculated to help his Likud Party at the polls.

 

Netanyahu and his party are warning that if they lose upcoming elections, the new government could include Arab political parties.

 

The saga began when Israeli actress and TV host Rotem Sela posted an Instagram story about comments that Culture Minister and Likud member Miri Regev made during a news interview. Sela questioned why Regev's statements about what she called the dangers of Palestinian Arab citizens taking part in a governing coalition went unchallenged.

 

"When the hell will someone in this government tell the public that Israel is a country of all its citizens," Sela wrote.

 

Much of the dispute that followed played out on Instagram, where Netanyahu responded to Sela, "Dear Rotem, an important correction: Israel is not a state of all its citizens."

 

Referring to a hotly contested law adopted last year that defines Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, the prime minister said Arab citizens have equal rights under the law, but that Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people — and only them, Ynet News reported.

 

Israeli movie star Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, weighed in, backing Sela and calling her an inspiration.

 

"Love thy neighbor as yourself. This isn't an issue of right or left. Jew or Arab. Secular or religious," Gadot said on Instagram, according to The Associated Press. "It's an issue of dialogue."

 

On Monday, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said on Twitter that Israel "has complete equality of rights for all its citizens," adding, "There are no first-class citizens, and there are no second-class voters. We are all equal in the voting booth. We are all represented at the Knesset."

 

Rivlin did not refer to Netanyahu directly, saying in a tweet, "Recently, when political thinking is turning all reason on its head, we hear entirely unacceptable remarks about the Arab citizens of Israel."

 

For political observers in Israel, the story has echoes of 2015, when Netanyahu posted a last-minute video on the day of a national election, claiming (falsely, it turned out) that right-wing rule of Israel was in danger because large numbers of Arab voters were heading to the polls in buses provided by left-wing groups. The tactic was widely criticized — but it was also credited with helping to sway the election result.

 

During this election season, Netanyahu's camp has circulated the phrase, "It is either Bibi or Tibi" — using the prime minister's nickname and referring to rival Ahmed Tibi, a Knesset member since 1999 and leader of Ta'al, also called the Arab Movement For Change party. But Netanyahu's actual rival for the prime minister's chair is the Blue and White Party's Benny Gantz.

 

Earlier this month, the Anti-Defamation League issued a statement in which it "called on Israeli political leaders across the spectrum to stop delegitimizing Israeli Arab political parties and vilifying the Arab minority population of Israel."

 

In that statement, Carole Nuriel, the director of ADL's Israel office, said recent incidents of politicians using anti-Arab rhetoric were "a deeply troubling trend that, if it continues, could undermine Israel's vibrant democracy."

 

This is not the first public dispute between Netanyahu and Rivlin, two former allies in Likud.

 

Rivlin was an early critic of the Jewish nation-state measure, saying shortly after his election in 2014 that it risked separating the concepts of Israel as being both democratic and Jewish.

Bragg’s Office Says Trump Violated Gag Order with Social Media Post About Judge Merchan’s Daughter – Trump’s Lawyers Respond

 

Prosecutors in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office said President Trump violated Judge Juan Merchan’s gag order when he criticized the judge’s daughter on social media.

 

The far-left judge overseeing the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ trial hit President Trump with a gag order on Tuesday.

 

Judge Juan Merchan ordered Trump to refrain from making any public statements about witnesses and jurors in the Stormy Daniels case.

 

Trump criticized Merchan’s daughter and now Bragg’s office wants the judge to “clarify or confirm” the scope of his gag order.

 

President Trump’s attorneys said the former president didn’t violate the gag order because Loren Merchan is not a witness or a juror.

 

“The Court cannot ‘direct’ President Trump to do something that the gag order does not require,” Trump’s lawyers Todd Blanche and Susan Necheles wrote to Merchan in a response to the prosecution’s letter, according to AP. “To ‘clarify or confirm’ the meaning of the gag order in the way the People suggest would be to expand it.”

Manhattan prosecutors suggested Friday that Donald Trump violated a gag order in his hush-money criminal case this week by assailing the judge’s daughter and making a false claim about her on social media.

 

The Manhattan district attorney’s office asked Judge Juan M. Merchan to “clarify or confirm” the scope of the gag order, which he issued on Tuesday, and to direct the former president and presumptive Republican nominee to “immediately desist from attacks on family members.”

 

In a letter to Merchan, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass argued that the gag order’s ban on statements meant to interfere with or harass the court’s staff or their families makes the judge’s daughter off-limits from Trump’s rhetoric. He said Trump should be punished for further violations.

 

The judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is a far-left political operative who worked for the Biden-Harris campaign. The media has infantilized Loren Merchan in an effort to attack Trump’s First Amendment-protected speech.

 

President Trump on Wednesday said the daughter of the far-left judge who just hit him with a gag order in the Stormy Daniels ‘hush payment’ case posted a photo of him behind bars.

 

Trump called on NY Judge Juan Merchan to recuse himself after his daughter who represents “Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, and other Radical Liberals,” posted a picture of him in jail.

 

An X account that Trump alleged belonged to Loren Merchan (The Gateway Pundit was unable to confirmed it was her account) posted a photo of Trump behind bars. The photo has since been changed to a picture of Kamala Harris.

The ADL Gears Up for More Censorship with ‘White Supremacist’ Report

 

The Anti-Defamation League is ramping up the hype for censorship as it has released its 'white supremacist propaganda' report.

 

The Anti-Defamation League, prepping for an incoming wave of censorship, released a report claiming that 2023 was the second year in a row to have a record high of “white supremacist propaganda incidents.”

The Jewish nonprofit said there was a 12% increase in incidents, totaling 7,567, up from 6,746. It also reported there was a rise in antisemitic propaganda to 1,112 from last year’s 852 claimed incidents.

 

Note that the ADL abides by the IHRA working definition of antisemitism, which includes anti-Zionist or anti-Israel sentiments. The NGO defined antisemitic propaganda as “language or symbols, targeted [at] Jewish institutions or both.” The ADL believes the surge in antisemitism to be attributed to the Oct. 7 Hamas attack but not Israel’s genocidal response.

 

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said in the report, “When conflict erupts in Israel, antisemitic incidents soon follow in the U.S. and globally.” He curiously doesn’t explain why that is, though.
