LA County Fires Sheriff as Head of Emergency Ops Center … During an Emergency

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has come in for some harsh criticism by this writer for his bungling of what should have been an easy call to keep gun stores open during the COVID-19 pandemic—at a time when law enforcement is stretched thin, there's a heightened fear of civil unrest, and the sheriff is freeing criminals from the jails and reducing arrests.

Tuesday, the LA County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to remove Villanueva as the head of the County Emergency Operations Center – during an international emergency.

Villanueva chalked up his firing at this time to his handling of the gun stores debacle. And why wouldn't he think that? Even he knows it's been an abject disaster.

But Supervisor Sheila Kuehl said it really wasn't about the sheriff, “I respectfully say to the sheriff, this is not about him. This is about the safety of the residents of L.A. County.”

An after-action report following the huge Woolsey Fire, before Villanueva took office, recommended that the sheriff's office be removed as the head of the EOC because other counties use their executive, civilian staff to oversee their emergency centers. Communications were also identified as a big fail by the LA Sheriff's Office and other responders during the fire that hit LA County near Malibu, Calabasas, and into Ventura County in 2018.

But do you really remove the head of the Emergency Ops Center during an existential crisis? You do if you're LA and this guy's in charge. It was definitely a vote of no confidence.

Villanueva said the move will leave a bean-counter in charge instead of a law enforcement officer.

“This will impact public safety and public health. They’re going to reassign the job to a financial analyst, and not a first responder with experience managing natural disasters and man-made. We’re in the middle of a global public health crisis.”

Villanueva has been conspicuously absent from the county's coronavirus news conferences, choosing to hold his own, where he consistently has berated the supervisors. But he was allowed to come Tuesday, a short time after the supervisors had removed him as the head of the EOC.

He played it classy, saying he would leave his personnel in place until the county installed its new people.

But make no mistake, his job performance made it easy for them to clear him out of this job.

Now it's up to the voters to find a person who knows something about the law to be sheriff.

I am only going to type this once, after the last two breads, a revelation has come to me, I am in tears right now and can barely see what I am typing. The Navy Hospital Ships, The DUMBS being raided and destroyed, the weird talk from POTUS and Cuomo and Pence and many who are in the know about how things will change when this is over, we may no longer shake hands…weird to me for couple of days…but then it hit me so fucking hard I almost threw up…the 2.2 million are the child victims, some who may now be adults if still alive…they are coming home…they are coming here to the United States. The change in job status the giving of trillions of dollars…is to prepare for a mass recovery of these poor victims…It may sound crazy but who is to take care of them…I believe it will be us, the good citizens of the United State..the ones who love their children, the ones who believe in God, who believe in treating others with respect and dignity and with love….what else or what other way could this be done? We will find out who they are and we as a country will be entrusted with their care and their futures because we are good and kind and are divine beings…..

Biden Calls For Remote 'Virtual' Voting in 2020 Elections

Biden on Tuesday night called on secretaries of state to begin securing remote ‘virtual’ voting capabilities “now” for the 2020 elections.

We knew this was coming.

The Democrats are using the Coronavirus as an excuse to increase absentee ballot voting, ‘remote virtual voting’ and ballot harvesting which of course increases the chances of voter fraud because it breaks the chain of custody.

The Democrat Iowa caucuses were a total train wreck after the Hillary-linked “Shadow” app failed to properly count the vote totals.

Now Biden is calling for virtual voting in the 2020 elections — what could possibly go wrong?

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton recently sounded the alarm and said the left is using the Coronavirus panic to push vote-by-mail in order to try to steal elections.

In one example of how vote-by-mail helped the Democrats for the primaries was clearly shown a couple weeks ago in Florida.

Biden won the Florida Democrat primary against Bernie Sanders 62% to 23%.

According to the state of Florida, 693,219 Democrats returned their mail-in ballots for the 2020 primary, a whopping 27% increase of mail-in ballots from the 2016 Florida primary.

In addition to vote-by-mail, 438,949 Democrats also voted early in the 2020 Florida primary, a 19% increase from 2016, reported FiveThirtyEight.

Turkish Navy Joins Battle In Libya, Launches Missiles At Warplanes Supporting LNA

The Turkish Navy has officially joined the battle in Libya by targeting warplanes supporting the Libyan National Army (LNA).

On April 1 morning, a warship of the Turkish Navy parked off the coast of the town of Sabratah to the west of capital, Tripoli, launched a RIM-66E-05 missile, reportedly at an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) supporting the LNA.

Libyan sources shared photos of the missile’s remains as well as of the warship, which appears to be a G-class frigate. Eight frigates of this type, which is an extensively modernized versions of ex-Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigates of the US Navy, are in active service with the Turkish Navy.

Some sources claimed that the Rim-66E-05 medium-range missile shot down one of the UAE’s UAVs operating in Libya. However, this is yet to be verified.

A Brig. Gen. Ahmad al-Mesmari, a spokesman of the LNA, confirmed that a Turkish Navy warship opened fire. However, he claimed that the missiles launched by the frigate targeted the town of Ajaylat, near Sabratah. These claims are most likely false, as the RIM-66E-05 is not known to has a ground-attack capability.

Turkey began a military intervention in Libya a few months ago to support the Government of National Accord (GNA). Ankara deployed heavy weapons, air-defense systems, combat drones and thousands of its proxies in Libya. However, the situation is still in favor of the LNA, which is leading to more direct involvement by the Turkish military.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham Executes Former Member Of Syrian Parliament

On April 1, al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) executed a former member of the Syrian Parliament who was accused of spying for the government’s intelligence service.

The former MP, Rifaat Mahmoud al-Daqqah, was executed by HTS personnel in an unknown location in Greater Idlib. Opposition activists shared images showing the MP’s dead body. HTS is yet to announce the execution.

Al-Daqqah, originally from the town of al-Janoudiyah, “defected” from the Syrian Parliament in 2011 in the early days of the crisis. Back then, militants pressured many local Syrian officials and service members to defect by threatening their families or business.

HTS arrested many civilians after accusing them of spying for the Syrian or the Russian intelligence over the last year. In no case a real evidence was presented to back these accusations. Most of these detainees end up executed in an ISIS-like style.

These executions are an example of HTS’ dictatorial rule over Greater Idlib. All of this is happening under the eyes of the Turkish military, which maintains a large force in the Syrian region.

China’s coronavirus propaganda has shifted dramatically, report finds

As news of a coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, the capital of China’s Hubei province, began to appear in Western news outlets in January, the country’s state-run media initially struck a tone of reassurance and transparency with hashtags like #wuhancoronavirus and #wuhanpneumonia. By February, such messaging had disappeared. According to a new report by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future, Chinese authorities have directed two abrupt shifts in the English language media it produces. The first shift skirted facts about the disease’s spread and origins in favor of social media posts that praised the response of the government and President Xi Jinping. Then, starting in late February, such posts took on a more aggressive tone, accusing the West of xenophobia and casting doubts on the virus’s origins. The shift in message can be seen in the social media posts below, provided by Recorded Future.

The first is from early January and the second from Feb. 29. Both tweets are from Global Times, a Chinese propaganda account that has 1.7 million followers. According to Recorded Future, Global Times and other such media outlets—including Xinhua, People’s Daily, CCTV, and CGTN—have posted tens of thousands of coronavirus-related items on services like Twitter and Instagram. Recorded Future’s account is consistent with a similar report published by news site Pro Publica last week, which describes a massive Twitter disinformation operation run by the Chinese government. Pro Publica claims the operation initially focused its attention on Hong Kong, but then shifted to a flood of coronavirus coverage. The publication also noted that the campaign appeared to be directed at Chinese expatriates and cited unnamed sources who said China was paying influential Twitter users to spread propaganda. Many of the Chinese propaganda outlets continue to publish on Twitter, despite reports of their promoting blatantly false information. A Twitter spokesperson said the company is aware of such accounts and, in some cases, is taking action against them. “Using technology and human review in concert, we proactively monitor Twitter to identify attempts at platform manipulation and mitigate them,” said the Twitter spokesperson. “If we identify further information campaigns on our service that we can reliably attribute to state-backed activity either domestic or foreign-led, we will disclose them.”

All of this comes as the Chinese Communist Party attempts to portray its handling of the Wuhan situation as a success, and a model for other countries to follow. The country’s success in Wuhan is coming into question, however, as Bloomberg reports shared photos of thousands of funeral urns in the city—suggesting the actual death toll in Wuhan is much higher than the 2,535 fatalities authorities have stated. Meanwhile, the International Business Times has reported a soaring number of phone cancellations as evidence that the death toll in China owing to the coronavirus has been understated.

From what I personally understand Trump and his administration have been rescuing children since day one in office. I went to foster/adoption class in county right after he took office. They stated many of the children have been abused physically and sexually. They were trying to place the children with living relatives and to adopt or foster they changed the process to include very long process for mental and backround checks which could take over a year to complete.
