LAS VEGAS — The Latest on court orders by Nevada judges to release documents that had been sealed in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history (all times local):

12:45 p.m.

Search warrant records show that in the first hours after the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, Las Vegas police and FBI agents identified two people of interest along with the lone gunman, Stephen Paddock.

The name of one of those people is blacked out in court records released Tuesday.

The other is Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley. She was in the Philippines at the time of the attack and is cooperating with investigators.

Authorities say she's not likely to face criminal charges.

Authorities have said an unnamed person could face unspecified charges in the Oct. 1 shooting that killed 58 people and injured more than 800 others on the Las Vegas Strip.

The records were obtained after media organizations including The Associated Press sued to unseal court records and autopsy reports.

Judges in Las Vegas have ordered the release of search warrant records and autopsy reports related to the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, with some information to be redacted.

Court officials are redacting the warrant records in preparation for release later Tuesday.

Judge Elissa Cadish issued a written order to release documents showing what investigators told judges to obtain the search warrants after the Oct. 1 shooting.

The order followed a closed-door hearing Friday with lawyers representing Las Vegas police.

Separately, Judge Timothy Williams ruled that the Clark County coroner should release autopsy records of the shooter and the 58 people killed by gunfire, with victims' names blacked out.

 

The coroner has the option of appealing the autopsies ruling to the Nevada Supreme Court.

Media organizations including The Associated Press sued to unseal records in a bid to answer ongoing questions about the investigation.

A Nevada judge is being asked to release autopsy records that the coroner in Las Vegas says show the 58 victims of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history died of gunshot wounds.

Clark County District Court Judge Timothy Williams is due on Tuesday to hear arguments from lawyers for media companies and the Clark County coroner about whether records detailing injuries and causes of death should be made public.

Coroner John Fudenberg also found that Stephen Paddock, the man who authorities say carried out the Oct. 1 shooting, killed himself with a gunshot to the mouth.

The Associated Press and Las Vegas Review-Journal are seeking the autopsy records to answer questions including whether there were delays getting medical care for any of the victims who died.

An Arizona ammo dealer identified as a person of interest in Stephen Paddock's Las Vegas Strip massacre said Tuesday he met the gunman once, to sell him ammunition.

 

Douglas Haig, whose name was mistakenly unredacted in nearly 300 pages of search warrant records, confirmed his role in the investigation to reporters outside his Mesa home.

 

"I am the guy who sold ammunition to Stephen Paddock," Haig said, as police guarded the front door and kept journalists from stepping on his property.

 

He did not elaborate on what type of ammunition he sold Paddock or whether it was used in the bloody rapid-fire attack that left 58 country music revelers dead.

 

Haig, a senior engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, wrote in his LinkedIn profile that he specializes in designing and testing tracer and incendiary small arms ammunition for law enforcement and military.

 

He declined to answer additional questions without his attorney and a sign staked into his front yard said Haig would hold a press conference Friday morning, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

RRN did a bit of diving into Suzman’s history and discovered that the Gates Foundation has been paying him an annual salary of $9,000,000 annually, a lot of money for a front man with almost no job duties and little responsibility.

Why did the FDA approve a certain vape after 7 years off the market?

 

The only thing you have to do to turn nicotine into nicotinic acid is oxidize it. Organic compounds oxidize at certain temperatures. The tobacco in a cigarette is slowly subjected to higher temps as the cherry approaches, so at some point it produces nicotinic acid, vital for good health.

Vapes are constant temp, and the newly approved are almost certainly not the temp you want to derive beneficial components.

Was January 6 Part of the FBI’s‘Operation Cold Snap’?

It’s only a matter of time before we learn how many “Big Dans” or Stephen Robesons were part of January 6.

The tony, bucolic town of Dublin, Ohio would be one of the last places in America expected to host a convention of white supremacist militiamen. Nestled along the Scioto River, the Columbus suburb’s biggest claim to fame is hosting the PGA’s annual Memorial Golf tournament every summer.

But in June 2020, days after the nation was roiled by Black Lives Matter looting and rioting, a man from Wisconsin named Stephen Robeson sponsored a “National Militia Conference” at a Dublin hotel. (Yes, that was the real name of the event.)

According to BuzzFeed’s exceptional July 2021 investigative report on the FBI-led plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020, Robeson “helped organize the national meeting, and he was enthusiastically pushing people he knew to attend.” The purpose of the conference was to recruit people who ultimately would stoke “political violence” against governors who refused to reopen their states after lockdowns supposedly necessitated by COVID.

Some participants said Robeson, known as “Robey,” relentlessly pestered them until they agreed to show up; people came from as far as Maryland and Kansas City, BuzzFeed’s Ken Bensinger and Jessica Garrison reported. One member of the Three Percenters, an alleged militia group on the FBI’s naughty list, observed people taking photos from discreet locations in the hotel. “The feds are everywhere,” he thought to himself.

Indeed. One of the feds was Robeson himself.

In a motion filed in July by a defense lawyer in the Whitmer kidnapping prosecution, Robeson is described as having a long record “of cooperating with the government in exchange for personal benefits. Basically, this [confidential human source] has a decades-long history of acting as a professional snitch for the government.”

Robeson also—and there’s nothing at all sketchy about this—founded the Wisconsin Patriot Three Percenters, BuzzFeed reported. Three Percenters, along with the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, are considered right-wing extremist militias by the FBI. Dozens of members from the three groups have been arrested and charged in connection with the January 6 protest at the Capitol.

But there’s more to Robeson’s background than just acting as government-paid flypaper to lure right-wingers to join a so-called “militia” group; he’s compiled a rap sheet a mile long including sex with a minor, battery, car theft, insurance fraud, and forgery. And in 2020, this convicted felon was working for Christopher Wray’s FBI to entrap alleged “militia men,” presumably loyal to Donald Trump, to pull a stunt before the 2020 election.

Which is exactly what happened. In yet another example of the FBI interfering in a presidential election, Robeson and at least a dozen other FBI agents and informants orchestrated the shocking scheme—the feds paid for and organized “surveillance” trips as well as weapons training camps, all for the hidden cameras to capture on film—to produce major headlines as early voting was underway in the crucial swing state of Michigan.

Whitmer held a dramatic press conference the day the Justice Department announced the arrest of six men on federal conspiracy charges, blaming Trump for encouraging “domestic terrorists.” Joe Biden weighed in, too. “There is a through line from President Trump’s dog whistles and tolerance of hate, vengeance, and lawlessness to plots such as this one. He is giving oxygen to the bigotry and hate we see on the march in our country,” he said on October 8, 2020.

Turns out, the “oxygen” that gave the plot life came from inside the house. BuzzFeed, after reviewing numerous court records and conducting interviews with those involved, concluded the FBI assets “had a hand in nearly every aspect of the alleged plot, starting with its inception.” Without the FBIs involvement, it’s unclear “whether there would have even been a conspiracy without them.” For now, the federal trial has been delayed until next spring after defense counsel asked for a 90-day continuance to investigate misconduct by FBI agents and informants. (I reported on that here.)

It also appears that the Whitmer operation was only part of the FBI’s overall plan to infiltrate and perhaps direct the conduct of unsuspecting “militia” men in 2020.

Operation Cold Snap, according to BuzzFeed, was an undercover “far-reaching, multi-state domestic terrorism investigation” to surveil—or more likely entrap, as defense lawyers in the Whitmer case now argue—people tied to the FBI’s hit list of right-wing militias.

It turns out that they were briefing the FBI "'regarding ongoing cybersecurity concerns and potential investigative cases' with respect to the 2020 Census," and the FBI was "passively receiving" criminal referrals from them. There are several big problems with this: most importantly, they had no authority to do so in the first place. It's also ridiculous that the FBI would accept their authority. Tory MP David Amess dies following knife attack at constituency meeting in Essex church, suspect arrested

 

A Conservative MP has died after being stabbed “several times" as he held a meeting at a Methodist church in his constituency of Southend West. Police have been deployed to the area in considerable numbers.

Cyprus strips 45 passports obtained by investors and their families under cash-for-citizenship scheme

 

The Cypriot government announced on Friday that it has decided to formally strip passports from 39 people who obtained citizenship under a disgraced investment scheme, as well as six of their dependents.

 

The Council of Ministers has decided to remove “Cypriot citizenship for 39 investors and 6 members of their families,” government spokesman Marios Pelekanos said, although he didn’t specify the names of the individuals impacted.

 

The government is also investigating a further six cases, and has put another 47 “under continuous monitoring… on the basis of the procedures provided.”

 

Cyprus agreed in October last year to end its Golden Visa scheme on November 1, 2020, which had allowed foreigners to secure residence and citizenship rights in return for investing millions into the country. To qualify, individuals would have to, at least, invest €2 million ($2.43 million) in Cypriot properties on top of a donation to the government research fund.

 

The scheme, dubbed cash-for-citizenship, is thought to have raised €7 billion ($8.12 billion) before the government accepted it had been open to “abusive exploitation.”

 

Around 7,000 people are thought to have secured citizenship under the scheme before it was shut down, with a government appointed commission subsequently finding that more than 53% of those who received passports through this method did so unlawfully.

 

Once an individual has received a Cypriot passport, they would be able to travel, work, and reside in any of the other European Union member states. Previously, the European Commission criticized Cyprus for granting these passports, claiming that “European values are not for sale,” and accusing the scheme of “trading European citizenship for financial gains.”

Panama exhumes bodies from mass grave during search for victims of 1989 US invasion – media

 

Panamanian authorities have reportedly exhumed several bags filled with human remains from a mass grave as the country conducts searches to identify victims of the 1989 US invasion that toppled General Manuel Noriega's regime.

 

The military operation, dubbed ‘Just Cause’, lasted a month – from December 1989 to January 1990 – and official estimates put the number of deaths at around 300 Panamanian soldiers and civilians. However, human rights groups have pegged the number of Panama’s dead in the thousands. Around 23 of the roughly 27,000 American soldiers involved in the conflict were killed in action.

 

The invasion remains an open wound for many Panamanians, who commemorate the event annually. There have been demands for December 20, the anniversary of the US action, to be declared a day of national mourning. Families have for decades called on the government to identify the remains of those who were killed and buried in mass graves.

 

On Thursday, Panama’s Attorney General Geomara Guerra announced that four bags of remains had been recovered so far at the Monte Esperanza cemetery in the city of Colon. He revealed that the remains were discovered in the same bags that US troops had distributed for burials.

 

“We plan to keep doing the work to dig in the earth and see how many more bags could be there,” Guerra told reporters.

 

Last year, officials found the unidentified remains of about 30 people during exhumation efforts at a site of about 100 graves within Jardin de Paz cemetery in the capital, Panama City. The bodies had been buried there 30 years ago after initially being dumped in mass graves during the invasion.

 

Although the search was later suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions, another body was reportedly dug up after it resumed earlier this year. All the recovered remains are undergoing DNA examination to identify the individuals who were killed.

 

Official approval for the exhumations came after a government-implemented Truth Commission documented about 20 disappearances due to the invasion. The commission of legal experts and academics, which was set up in 2016, accessed court records and documents and uncovered new evidence and testimonies from the relatives of victims.

 

It has also compiled a DNA bank, containing biological samples taken from relatives that will be used to compare against the exhumed remains.

Explain the Chinese position on Taiwan, or

Some of those are funnier than others. The idea that a country that is force-vaccinating its population is less authoritarian than a country that is not doing that is actually so ridiculous that it borders on the deranged or outright insane.

Private Covid test lab suspended after possibly giving 43,000 UK residents incorrect results

 

Covid testing by a private laboratory in Wolverhampton has been suspended after an NHS Test and Trace investigation found around 43,000 people in England and Wales may have received the wrong results.

 

The UK’s Health Security Agency (UKHSA), which is responsible for “planning, preventing and responding to external health threats,” confirmed the suspension of Covid testing at the Immense Health Clinic laboratory.

 

The NHS Test and Trace investigation examined around 400,000 samples that have been processed through the lab, after concerns about “people receiving negative PCR test results after they have previously tested positive on a lateral flow device.”

 

It found that around 43,000 people may have been affected by the errors, receiving incorrect results between September 8 and October 12, mainly in the southwest of England.

 

Seeking to reassure people that there isn’t a wider flaw in the Covid testing system, the UKHSA stated that “this is an isolated incident attributed to one laboratory,” and that the agency is redirecting all samples to other facilities.

 

The CEO of Immense Health Clinic, Andrea Riposati, responded to the decision by the NHS and UKHSA, stating they are “fully collaborating” with the investigation, as they “do not wish this matter or anything else to tarnish the amazing work done by the UK in this pandemic.”

 

Lateral flow tests are rapid devices that can be used to establish if an individual is infected with Covid, whether they have symptoms or are asymptomatic. PCR tests are more thoroughly analysed, being examined in a laboratory to detect the virus and allow for contact tracing to take place.

Russian Warship Chased 'Intruding' US Destroyer After Breaching Joint Russia-China Drills: Kremlin

 

According to breaking reports in Interfax and Reuters based on Russian defense ministry statements, there's been a major incident involving a US vessel during Friday's joint Russia-China military drills in the Sea of Japan.

 

A Russian warship has "chased a US destroyer out of Russian territorial waters," Interfax is reporting, citing a Russian military statement. The Kremlin accused the US ship of breaching the zone where Russia-China drills were ongoing. Russian media reports are saying the two ships came within 60 meters of each other.

"Today, 15 October at about 5 pm local time, the USS Chafee destroyer which has been operating in the Sea of Japan for several days, approached the territorial waters of the Russian Federation and made an attempt to cross the state border."

Biden to temporarily reinstate 'remain in Mexico' policy per judge's orders

 

A little over four months after President Joe Biden officially ended his predecessor's "remain in Mexico" policy, his administration is set to put the controversial policy back into effect after a federal judge said Biden's termination of the program violated the law.

 

Administration officials told the press Friday that Migrant Protection Protocols — a policy requiring migrant asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their U.S. court hearings — will be temporarily reinstated in mid-November as the administration prepares another attempt to end the program.

 

Former Republican President Donald Trump implemented the MPP policy in 2019 as a means of ensuring that migrants who traveled to the southern border claiming to seek asylum did not enter the country illegally and then disappear before their court hearings. An estimated 68,000 migrants were returned to Mexico under Trump's policy, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

 

Biden, a Democrat, campaigned against MPP, claiming it was inhumane. Shortly after he took office in January, Biden paused the program as part of a wider effort to reverse many of Trump's immigration policies.

 

In April, Missouri and Texas sued the Biden administration, arguing that pausing MPP led to a surge of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border that inflicted costs on the states. The Department of Homeland Security attempted to officially rescind the policy in June, when DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said it did not "adequately or sustainably enhance border management."

 

Then in August, a federal judge blocked the Biden administration from enacting its plan to end the "remain in Mexico" policy. The Biden administration appealed its case to the U.S. Supreme Court, which refused to take it up in a 6-3 decision, leaving the lower court's ruling in effect.

 

Now, according to Reuters, the Biden administration is in the tricky position of having to restart the "remain in Mexico" program while also trying to end it:

 

The administration has said it will comply with Kacsmaryk's ruling "in good faith" while continuing its appeal in the case. The administration also plans to issue a fresh memo to terminate the program in the hopes it will resolve any legal concerns surrounding the previous one, officials said.

 

"Re-implementation is not something that the administration has wanted to do," a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said in a call with reporters. "But in the interim we are under this obligation of the court."

 

In a court filing late on Thursday the administration said that "although MPP is not yet operational," they are taking all the steps necessary to re-implement it by next month.

Virginia Legislator Running For Congress Voted With Dems To Let Transgenders Use Any Bathroom, Now High School Girls Are Being Raped

As a Virginia State Senator, Jen Kiggans backed the Democrat-sponsored bill that opened girls’ bathrooms up to men and helped enable the rape and sexual assault of two high school girls in Loudoun County – attacked by a male student identifying as “gender fluid” and allowed into the girls’ bathroom under school policies in line with the so-called Virginia Values Act.

 

Kiggans, whose 2022 campaign for Congress is strongly backed by the GOP establishment, broke ranks with her party to vote for the bill last year, barring schools and other public spaces from keeping men who claim to be women out of girls’ bathrooms. A Virginia Department of Education guideline that spun off of the bill went even further, forcing schools to adopt trans-affirming bathroom and pronoun policies.

 

The legislation has created a political powder keg in Loudoun County, where a “gender fluid” male student who outfitted himself in a skirt and was allowed to use the girls’ restroom has been criminally charged with the rape of a 9th-grade girl who he attacked in the bathroom at Loudoun County’s Stone Bridge High School.

 

According to the victim’s father, who himself was violently arrested when he demanded answers at a meeting of the far-left Loudoun County School Board, the rape was swept under the rug, as to not disrupt the rollout of the school board’s new far-left pro-trans agenda, with the rapist being transferred to another county school, Broad Run High School, where he attacked yet another innocent female student.

 

Despite widespread media coverage of the Loudoun County school bathroom rape, Kiggans has remained quiet on the issue she helped create as a State Senator, though she has centered much of her campaign for Congress in Virginia’s 2nd District around how great she is for women.

 

Kiggans’ GOP primary race opponent, America First conservative Jarome Bell, blasted her and the far-left state government for passing the laws that enabled the Loudoun County attacks, saying that those politicians who voted for the Virginia Values Act bear responsibility and calling the far-left’s legislative and cultural agenda “a sickness.”

 

“The Governor, General Assembly, and every State Senator who voted for the Virginia Values Act, like Jen Kiggans, is responsible for the rape of those two girls,” Bell told National File. “They are endangering girls and boys in school bathrooms and classrooms. This is a sickness that has entered our legislative halls that needs to be removed and never allowed to represent the citizens of Virginia again,” he continued.

An opens record request filed by Atlanta Tea Party co-founder Debbie Dooley and provided to National File revealed the contract for Georgia Secretary of State employee Gabriel Sterling, who last year stopped being an employee to become an independent contractor for the same government office. Sterling and his company were charged with “conducting Statewide Voting System policy and strategy review,” amid other tasks, for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

 

Sterling was repeatedly referred to as a Voting System Implementation Manager by media when President Donald Trump contested the 2020 election. However, Sterling had not been an official employee of the Secretary of State since July of that year. Instead, his company – Sterling Innovative Solutions LLC – was working for the government as an independent contractor.

 

This was likely a good career move, as Sterling began earning $8,333 on the 15th and last day of each month, or $16,666 per month and just $8 short of $200,000 per year before taxes. His company, Sterling Innovative Solutions LLC, received the checks.

 

Sterling Innovative Solutions LLC is a Georgia based company that has been active for six years. Public records reveal that Sterling is not only the company’s founder but also its only listed owner and the company’s registered agent. Its address appears to be a house, ostensibly Sterling’s.

 

Many will remember Sterling for his repeated public defenses of Georgia’s 2020 election and its results while representing elusive Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Sterling delivered remarks and appeared at several press conferences in lieu of Raffensperger and regularly made statements to the media.

 

In December of last year, Sterling claimed President Donald Trump’s “rhetoric” regarding the election was “inspiring people to commit potential acts of violence.” Ironically, despite repeatedly asserting the validity of his state’s election results, Sterling later admitted that voter fraud happened at his own home.

 

Sterling was still the point man for election questions earlier this year for the Senate runoff election in Georgia on January 5 of this year. “There was a programming error on security keys for some locations [sic] scanners & pollworker cards” in Columbia County, Sterling wrote on Twitter at one point during the day. He said more cards and scanners were being delivered.

 

Sterling’s Independent Contractor Agreement reveals that he was paid $16,666 per month to “provide expertise and consultative services” on various topics of management and implementation. More importantly, Sterling was charged with “conducting Statewide Voting System policy and strategy review” on behalf of Raffensperger.

 

In addition to the $16,666 per month, Sterling was allowed to ask for reimbursements for “reasonable and necessary business expenses,” which were reimbursed by Secretary of State Raffensperger at his discretion.

 

As a well paid independent contractor, the contract outlines, Sterling made his own hours and used his own equipment. He was also party to a strict confidentiality agreement.

The second round of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) origins investigation effort follows the first round of investigators, which included individuals who failed to disclose their ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and Chinese Communist Party, despite confidently dispelling the “lab leak” theory.

 

Team member Christian Drosten, one of the 26 newly announced investigators, was a signatory on the infamous Lancet letter on the origins of COVID-19, which was organized by chief Wuhan Institute of Virology collaborator and Anthony Fauci-funded researcher Peter Daszak. The letter prematurely debunked the possibility of COVID-19 counting lab origins and failed to disclose its authors’ conflicts of interest.

I found the original sat view of the island lift, its on a site that has been studying La Palma for thirty years since like 1994 i believe. They have hundreds of sensors all over the island, they routinely do satellite updates showing whats moving on the island its mapped out with extreme precision. After the 20th, the map showing the current lift was deleted from the site and nothing new has been uploaded at the last time i checked the day before yesterday. This along with USGS not reporting a single earthquake within 500 miles of the canary islands ever since the earthquakes started on the 12th is all i needed to see to know we are intentionally being withheld of info, they dont want us to know.

I am posting here today because my entire digital platform portfolio has effectively been given a death hug. All of my social media accounts have been banned, and I am currently IP banned on any Google-based platform, along with Twitter and Facebook.

 

I am a geologist currently working as a contractor to discern and develop a plan of action in the event of a cataclysm originating from the island volcano, La Palma in the Canary Islands.

 

I have chosen this platform for this message as I believe it is one of very few left to openly discuss what some might deem as unapproved conversation. My message, and quite honestly a huge burden on my heart, is this—

 

The La Palma volcano has now entered a stage in its eruption whereas the odds of a massive landslide causing an equally massive tsunami are now at a 50/50 “teeter-totter” will-it-won’t-it stage. Essentially, the odds have been increasing every day, but new data from seismic monitors installed just days ago are now suggesting with great accuracy that major fault lines are failing. Last night, at around 5:45pm, a section of data came in that locked the odds at 50/50. Due to the nature of the volcano’s geological makeup, certain actions like ocean water entering the tubes or further seismic events are being constantly monitored as either one has the entire breadth of power required to trigger the slide.

 

However, as I said before, I am a contractor. Who I work for is under an NDA, so you’re going to have to discern for yourselves who it might be. Because of the decisions made by my employer-by-contract, I feel as if I have a unique duty in informing the masses (as best as I am currently allowed, hence my posting here) that they are not going to be making any action whatsoever in the event a tsunami approaches.

 

According to the memo I received, the decision was that any effort made to evacuate citizens will be untenable, and thus the need to even prepare or mitigate damages to life or property will not be executed. In laymen’s terms, if and when the volcano decides to fall it’s sides, it will release enough power to produce a tsunami large enough to completely wipe out every major city that is within 20 miles (US) inland and roughly 32 kilometers (EU/AF) from the broadside connection to the Atlantic Ocean. US Military Support for Taiwan Angers Beijing

 

If the United States and China go to war, Taiwan could likely be the trigger.

 

A recent report alleged that roughly 24 members of U.S. special operations and support troops have been conducting training for the Taiwanese military over the past year.

 

President Joe Biden claims that he and Chinese leader Xi Jinping spoke about the Taiwan situation, and have both agreed to abide by “the agreement.” While it is unclear which agreement Biden was referring to, it is presumed that he meant the “one-China” policy. Under this policy, the United States recognizes Taiwan and China as a single entity, but has no official opinion on Taiwan’s sovereignty or who rules whom.

 

Under a separate agreement, the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act, the United States promised to provide Taiwan the means to defend itself. There is an understanding between the two countries, however, that Taiwan cannot declare independence unilaterally without notifying the United States. Additionally, the United States is not obligated to fight if Taiwan declares independence unilaterally.

 

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has called for the United States to cut off military ties with Taiwan. CCP officials said that the Washington should recognize the sensitivity of the issue and that Beijing would take every action to protect China’s borders. As the CCP claims ownership of Taiwan, it interprets any support for the independence of Taiwan as an infringement on China’s sovereignty. By extrapolation, the CCP believes that if China owns Taiwan, it would also control the sea and airspace around the island nation.

 

Over the past year, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force has flown 800 sorties into Taiwanese airspace. Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen warned that tensions had recently escalated. Taiwanese Defense Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng said that cross-strait tensions were the worst in 40 years. Recently, the PLA Air Force flew almost 150 warplanes into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ), the largest single violation of Taiwanese airspace to date.

 

China’s ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Deng Xijun, tweeted that by dispatching so many warplanes near Taiwan, the CCP “sent [a] strong warning to the Taiwan secessionists and their foreign supporters.” The Biden administration responded by confirming that the U.S. commitment to Taiwan remained “rock solid.”

 

So far, the current administration has not only maintained Trump-era policies and U.S. engagement with Taiwan, but even sent an unofficial delegation to Taipei, comprised of a former senator and two former U.S. deputy secretaries of state.

 

In a move that many believe is a prelude to a Taiwan invasion, the CCP has been expanding China’s military at a rapid pace. According to a 2020 defense report by the the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, and U.S. Coast Guard, China had more than tripled the size of its navy over the past 20 years and that it now has more ships, but not necessarily more firepower than the United States.

 

Taiwanese Defense Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng predicted that by 2025, the PLA would be strong enough to invade Taiwan.

 

Even while suffering an economic slowdown caused by the pandemic response, China increased its defense spending by 6.8 percent, raising their 2020 defense budget to $210 billion. The PLA already maintains 3 million troops, while it is pouring more money into aircraft carriers, nuclear-powered submarines, and stealth fighters.

 

Premier Li Keqiang, addressing a meeting of the National People’s Congress (China’s rubber-stamp legislature), said that the CCP would “thoroughly implement Xi Jinping’s thinking on strengthening the armed forces and the military strategy … boost military training and preparedness … enhance the military’s strategic capacity to protect the sovereignty, security, and development interests of our country.”

 

In the face of an increasing threat from the CCP, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations Christopher Maier told the Senate Armed Services Committee during his confirmation hearing that the United States should consider sending troops to Taiwan to train their defense forces.

33 Killed, 73 Wounded as Another Blast Hits Afghan Shiites Mosque

 

A large explosion rocked a Shiites mosque in southern Afghanistan on Oct. 15, killing at least 33 people and wounding 73 others, the Taliban terrorist group said.

 

“We are saddened to learn that an explosion took place in a mosque of the Shiite Brotherhood in the first district of Kandahar city in which a number of our compatriots were martyred and wounded,” Taliban spokesman Sayed Khosti said on Twitter.

 

Information from eyewitnesses in Kandahar that was obtained by Reuters described the attackers as three suicide bombers, one of whom blew himself up at the entrance to the mosque with the two others detonating their devices inside the building.

 

An Afghan health official gave figures of 33 dead and 73 wounded, but the official also noted that the final death and injury count could be higher.

 

“We are overwhelmed,” a doctor at the city’s central Mirwais hospital told news agency AFP. “There are too many dead bodies and wounded people brought to our hospital. We are expecting more to come. We are in urgent need of blood. We have asked all the local media in Kandahar to ask people to come and donate blood.”

 

Khosti said that Taliban special forces have moved to the area and are investigating “the nature of the incident” and pledged that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

A U.S. Capitol Police officer has been indicted on obstruction of justice charges after prosecutors say he helped to hide evidence of a rioter's involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

 

The officer, Michael A. Riley, is accused of tipping off someone who participated in the riot by telling them to remove posts from Facebook that had showed the person inside the Capitol during the January 6 attack, according to court documents.

 

He is due to appear in federal court in Washington later Friday.

 

Riley, who responded to a report of a pipe bomb on January 6 and has been a Capitol Police officer for about 25 years, had sent the person a message telling them that he was an officer with the police force who 'agrees with your political stance,' an indictment against him says.

 

The indictment spells out how Riley sent dozens of messages to the unidentified person, encouraging them to remove incriminating photos and videos and telling them how the FBI was investigating to identify rioters.

 

It wasn't clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the charges against him. A call to the U.S. Capitol Police wasn't immediately returned.

 

In the days after the attack, scores of rioters flaunted their participation in social media posts that bragged about their ability to get inside the Capitol. But then many started realizing it could be used as evidence and began deleting it.

BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) — The European Union reiterated Friday that antisemitism “has no place” in the 27-nation bloc after Slovenian Prime minister Janez Jansa posted a message on social media that was criticized by some European lawmakers as antisemitic.

 

Jansa, whose country currently holds the rotating EU Council presidency, accused several members of the European Parliament of being “puppets” of George Soros. The Hungarian-American billionaire investor, who is Jewish, has been the subject of antisemitic attacks and conspiracy theories for decades.

 

Jansa made his comments on Twitter during a visit to Slovenia by a European Parliament delegation assessing press freedom and the rule of law in the Balkan state.

School board listens patiently as mom calls sponsor of gay inclusion club a pedophile

 

Members of the Kansas City LGBTQ Commission were told they couldn’t speak on behalf of gender non-conforming and LGBTQ children in the Independence School District at Tuesday night’s meeting. Officials said that’s because only district residents and employees are allowed to address the board, per district policy, even though the Independence School District is one of more than a dozen districts within the boundaries of Kansas City proper.

 

We have no evidence that they were singled out for exclusion, or that other non-residents have been allowed to speak in the past.

 

Yet the fact that the Independence school board then did listen on Tuesday night to a parent who called the teacher who’d started a gay inclusion club a pedophile made us wonder if whatever rules there are that make hate speech OK need a common sense update.

 

During the public comment portion of the monthly meeting, the mother of a 15-year-old student complained about the use of preferred pronouns and the creation of a Sexuality and Gender Awareness club at William Chrisman High School. She called for the firing of the teacher who started the group, and called that female teacher a pedophile for having done so.

 

Neither School Board President Denise Fears nor Superintendent Dale Herl corrected her, or reacted at all. She might as well have been reading the lunch menu. That, too, is policy: The board isn’t supposed to respond to comments in any way. But common sense would dictate that on Tuesday, they should have made an exception.

 

And turning away advocates for underrepresented school children follows a disturbing pattern in Independence schools.

 

Herl still hasn’t explained why he recommended and the school board approved this year disabling the option for students to pick their preferred pronouns when logging in for virtual classes. Herl also ordered the removal of Independence Black Lives Matter and gay pride posters from the walls of a middle school last fall.

 

District officials have an obligation to meet the needs of all children.

 

Marcie Gragg, a former city councilwoman who is considering running again, urged the board to reconsider its policy on who can and cannot speak.

 

Technically, Gragg herself should not have been allowed to speak on Tuesday, according to board policy. Yes, she’s a district resident, but everyone who wants to speak is supposed to email a board secretary one week prior to a board meeting to request to speak. Pre-approval is needed and comments or questions directed to board members are requested in advance. Some are allowed, most aren’t.

 

Board policy says speakers can only talk about what’s on the agenda, which this month was posted three days after the district’s own deadline.

 

Gragg didn’t meet the impossible deadline, of course.

 

Another problem is that school board meetings in Independence aren’t live-streamed. Nor are recordings available on YouTube for later viewing.

 

“It doesn’t make any sense,” Gragg said after the meeting. “It’s difficult to tell a community that you want parent involvement and engagement and then make it so difficult for us to actually be involved and engaged.”

 

When policies allow room for unchallenged hate speech and not inclusion, even if that wasn’t the intention, it’s time to reconsider the rules.

It is essentially sentencing many of our troops to a life of low-wage work and poverty in the draconian mandate economy, which also now demands injections for many jobs, with all the severe economic sanctions under the guise of “public health” that they will now face in civilian life.

 

Based on our assessments, it is now clear the Global Private Military Complex has captured the top of the U.S. military Chain of Command and is systematically degrading the U.S. military as part of a worldwide strategy to weaken national civilian militaries.

 

Our military is their greatest adversary and primary target.

 

Make no mistake, to dishonorably discharge thousands of our most elite fighting forces is a blatant Act of War against the American people.

 

The all-out systemic attacks against the American people are Acts of War.
