What happens as you investigate conspiracy theories is you start to question the mainstream media more and more, then you start to question the "alt-media", then you start to question history, science, evolution, religion, existence. When you get to that point you go back and and watch the mainstream media again and you start to see how it's all bullshit.

Once you realize that the media is bullshitting to you constantly, if you then want to understand how a certain thing actually happened, you need to examine the evidence from the null hypothesis. Take the JFK assassination for example; if we understand that the media lied to us about the assassination and it actually was a conspiracy, then if you take it to the next level you might begin to wonder whether the information they gave you on him dying was actually even correct.

As for your question, the most plausible ones are the ones that are actually confirmed but no one talks about and totally ignored by the majority of the people who dismiss conspiracy theorists as crackpots.

One of the most important confirmed conspiracies that one should be aware of is Operation Paperclip. Over 1500 Nazi scientists were bought over under the guise of "rocket scientists", but instead were the most adept propagandists from the party many of which went on to join the CIA.

 

The CIA was formed through the efforts of Dulles and Prescott Bush (who profited from selling oil to both sides of the war). This act alone alludes to the fundamental intention of the CIA as a supranational organization, that doesn't necessarily have the best interests of the American population at heart.

 

When you start to research some the propaganda techniques employed by the Nazi's and the contributions of Freud to this field, you see the role Edward Bernays (Freud's nephew) played in the establishment of the Public Relations industry (propaganda for propaganda), where Neuro Linguistic Programming is at today, and what the CIA was getting up to under MK ULTRA, you might start to be able to entertain the idea that you have been lied to about MUCH MUCH more than you believe.

 

That is the most plausible conspiracy theory really. That you have been lied to to a much greater extent than you can possibly imagine. The rest of the dominoes fall once you start to appreciate that.

What We Know About the 'Delta Plus' AY.4.2 COVID Mutations Y145H and A222V

The COVID variant AY.4.2, also being referred to as the new "Delta Plus," continues to spread around the world, and scientists are still trying to figure out exactly how it works.

 

The variant is an offshoot of the COVID Delta variant AY.4., which itself is an offshoot of the original Delta. Scientists know that AY.4.2 is characterized by two mutations in its spike protein—a spike on the surface of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that allows it to enter human cells.

 

These two mutations are called Y145H and A222V, and there's not a lot that researchers know about them just yet—though it appears that AY.4.2 may have a "modestly increased" growth rate compared to the normal Delta variant, according to the U.K. Health Security Agency (HSA).

 

Dr. Scott Wesley Long, Associate Professor of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Texas' Houston Methodist hospital, told Newsweek that out of AY.4.2's mutations, A222V is the better understood one having been seen before in different COVID variants as far back as the spring of 2020.

Vice Chairman’s Retirement Leaves Hole on Joint Chiefs as Biden Delays Nominee Pick

 

The office of the second-highest ranking military officer in the U.S. Gen. John Hyten, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs is set to be vacant within weeks because the Biden administration hasn't named a replacement.

 

The coming gap between vice chiefs on Nov. 21, when Hyten retires, is what the Pentagon described this week as "not optimal." Hyten helps lead the Joint Chiefs, the top military planners and advisers, and is also responsible for overarching strategies that unify the military services.

 

It is a "big job with immense responsibilities," Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.

 

By law, nobody can temporarily fill the vice chief position in an acting capacity, unlike so many civilian leadership jobs, and the Pentagon can't farm out all of those job responsibilities to others while it waits for a replacement, according to Kirby.

 

Instead, Congress must confirm a new vice chief with a hearing and a vote. But President Joe Biden has been slow to name a nominee even amid new and growing geo-political threats such as China's recent test of a hypersonic missile, which Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley called a near Sputnik moment in a Bloomberg interview.

 

"I hoped to actually have a conversation with my successor but he has not been nominated yet, so I may be writing that letter," Hyten said Thursday during a meeting with reporters.

 

Hyten, an Air Force officer and Harvard graduate, has warned that his successor also faces a Defense Department and military services that take far too long to develop new weapons and needed capabilities to fend off global threats, while China and other adversaries leap ahead.

 

"Right now, it's so frustrating because the answer to every question I get is that, OK, we need the following capability and how long is it going to take, and the answer is 10-15 years," he said.

 

"Every program you look at, you can see it that way," Hyten added.

MARYLAND: "New trooper candidates with Maryland State Police are getting bumps in pay under Gov. Larry Hogan’s (R-Md.) Refund the Police plan. Starting January 1, they’ll make a starting salary of $51,000 a year, significantly more than the current starting salary of $35,000. Coronavirus infections at U.S. meat plants far higher than previous estimates -House subcommittee

WASHINGTON, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Workers at the leading U.S. meatpacking plants experienced cases and death from COVID-19 that were up to three times previous estimates, according to a report by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis seen by Reuters.

 

The U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee surveyed major meatpackers Tyson Foods (TSN.N), JBS USA (JBS.UL), Cargill (CARG.UL), National Beef (NBEEF.UL) and Smithfield Foods (SFII.UL), which together control over 80% of the beef market and 60% of the pork market in the United States.

 

At those companies’ plants, worker cases of COVID-19 totaled 59,147 and deaths totaled 269, based on counts through January of this year, according to the report which was released on Wednesday ahead of the subcommittee hearing on the pandemic's impact on meatpacking workers.

 

That is far higher than a previous estimate by the Food and Environment Reporting Network (FERN), which had been used by government agencies and media throughout the pandemic, according to the report. FERN had counted 22,694 cases and 88 deaths among workers at the five companies as of Sept. 8, primarily drawing on data from news reports and public health agencies.

 

"Until now, we have not had a full sense of how hard meatpacking workers were hit," U.S. Representative James Clyburn, chairman of the subcommittee, said in his opening statement at the hearing.

 

The meatpacking industry was especially hard hit by COVID-19 in part because its workers tend to be in close proximity for long hours in often messy conditions.

 

The new data comes from company calculations of worker cases primarily based on testing done within company facilities, meaning some infections identified through other health providers could have been excluded.

 

Cases were especially high at certain plants, including JBS’s Hyrum, Utah, beef plant and Tyson’s Amarillo, Texas, beef plant, where around 50% of workers contracted the virus, according to the report.

 

The subcommittee's findings also included new details of lax safety protocols at some of the plants.

 

In May 2020 at Tyson's Amarillo plant, for instance, workers wore masks “saturated” with fluids, were not socially distanced, and were separated by “plastic bags on frames” instead of CDC-compliant barriers, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) memo obtained by the subcommittee.

 

Both Tyson and JBS said in statements on Wednesday that they have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on COVID-19 health and safety efforts.

 

Cargill said in a statement that it was "saddened by the tragic impacts of this virus on our colleagues and the communities in which we operate."

 

Smithfield said in a statement that it implemented safety measures to protect employees and tested its workers frequently, uncovering asymptomatic cases.

 

Officials from National Beef were not immediately available for comment.

 

The subcommittee report also suggested that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) had not done enough to protect workers in the meat industry from the virus.

 

OSHA staff told the subcommittee that under former President Donald Trump, the agency’s leadership made a political decision not to issue an emergency temporary standard (ETS) that would have required meatpackers to take certain safety precautions, the report said.

 

“Without being held to any specific standard, meatpacking companies were left with largely unchecked discretion to determine how to respond to the coronavirus pandemic, to the detriment of meatpacking workers,” the report said.

 

Debbie Berkowitz, a fellow with Georgetown University's Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor, said at the hearing that OSHA had "abandoned their responsibility to protect workers in the last administration."

 

Advocates testified that OSHA should issue an ETS similar to the one issued for healthcare workers, and ensure it responds to worker complaints.

 

Martin Rosas, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 2, said those steps are necessary "to protect those who bring food to our tables."

The Printer and the Shredder: Reserve Bank has neat trick to tackle rising interest rates

 

Rates went ballistic this week but the Reserve Bank has a secret weapon for tackling inflation. But who would have thought it would entail Dan Andrews paying Josh Frydenberg? Michael West reports.

 

Victorian Premier Dan Andrews might not have twigged yet, and he will hardly be over the moon when he does, but he is giving his nemesis Josh Frydenberg some money.

 

Circuitously. A $640m issue of Victorian state bonds matures today. That money goes to the Reserve Bank, which in turn pays the Federal Treasury some $2b a year in dividends.

 

Dan will be happy to know that the RBA, and we have had this confirmed, will be shredding the bonds, or rather cancelling that $640m as if it never existed. It will vanish, as will much of the government debt, the billions of dollars in new money created by QE, created to get Australia through the Pandemic.

 

However, the RBA has been getting income from the bonds, the interest payments on the bond coupons, and the RBA pays dividends, not to the states, but to the Commonwealth.

 

It is no small irony then, in light of the political rivalry, the barbs shot back and forth between Labor premiers and the Treasurer over lockdown and pandemic funding, that the Feds have been, and will continue to profit from the millions in interest rate payments on state bonds.

 

Josh Frydenberg would no doubt like it if the full $640 million, and the billions to come in maturing government bond issues, came his way too. It would surely help him tackle the biggest debt and deficit in Australian history.

 

But the principal on these bond issues will be cancelled with the tap of a computer keystroke by the Reserve Bank. When Josh used to say there is no money tree, he was of course wrong. There is a money tree, it’s called QE. And when he and his Coalition colleagues used to say our children’s children’s children will be paying Labor’s debts, they were wrong too.

 

One set of children will simply be paying another set of children.

To dispel the fear requires inner peace. To arrive at inner peace requires placing ultimate faith in somthing or someone. How real is your (our) faith in God? For me it is very real, and He can do with me as He will. Trusing a Plan is difficult, unless the author of it is God. So when we say 'trust the plan' it is perhaps a little disengenuous, depending on where our true faith lies.

 

I for one will not be afraid. Just had Covid a few weeks ago… Maybe it is my imagination, but it feels like my heart has some arythmia now…. but the true battle lies in the spiritual realm. We are warriors on the battlefield, which anons know very well.

I've been watching the TV series Outer Limits (1995) trying to understand the comms that are being communicated. This is a big part of the Cabal plan for taking control of the USA and creating a Great Reset with a new One World Order of Corporatist Neo-Feudalism. Invincibility threatens vaccination intentions during a pandemic

Some people feel they are invincible to the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). They believe that being infected with COVID-19 would not be a serious threat to their health. While these people may or may not be correct in their personal risk assessment, we find that such perceived invincibility may undermine community efforts to achieve herd immunity. Multi-level analysis of survey respondents across 51 countries finds that perceived invincibility from COVID-19 is negatively associated with believing there is a need to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in one’s community (n = 218,956) and one’s willingness to inoculate against the disease (n = 71,148). These effects are most pronounced among individuals from countries lower in cultural collectivism (e.g., USA, UK, Canada) and highlight the need to consider the interplay of individual and cultural factors in our efforts to understand, predict, and promote preventative health behavior during a pandemic.

Abstract

 

Phylogenetic analyses of gene expression have great potential for addressing a wide range of questions. These analyses will, for example, identify genes that have evolutionary shifts in expression that are correlated with evolutionary changes in morphological, physiological, and developmental characters of interest. This will provide entirely new opportunities to identify genes related to particular phenotypes. There are, however, 3 key challenges that must be addressed for such studies to realize their potential. First, data on gene expression must be measured from multiple species, some of which may be field-collected, and parameterized in such a way that they can be compared across species. Second, it will be necessary to develop comparative phylogenetic methods suitable for large multidimensional datasets. In most phylogenetic comparative studies to date, the number n of independent observations (independent contrasts) has been greater than the number p of variables (characters). The behavior of comparative methods for these classic problems is now well understood under a wide variety of conditions. In studies of gene expression, and in studies based on other high-throughput tools, the number n of samples is dwarfed by the number p of variables. The estimated covariance matrices will be singular, complicating their analysis and interpretation, and prone to spurious results. Third, new approaches are needed to investigate the expression of the many genes whose phylogenies are not congruent with species phylogenies due to gene loss, gene duplication, and incomplete lineage sorting. Here we outline general considerations of project design for phylogenetic analyses of gene expression and suggest solutions to these three categories of challenges. These topics are relevant to high-throughput phenotypic data well beyond gene expression.

Reclusive billionaire James Packer has made a bombshell admission at a Perth royal commission into Crown Casino.

 

James Packer has conceded there were many “things that should have been done differently” at Crown Perth when he was at the helm - and he should have quit rather than missing board meetings for three years as criminal junkets infiltrated.

 

The probe is the third faced by Crown Resorts over now substantiated allegations of money laundering at the West Australian casino and also at its Melbourne venue.

 

The reclusive billionaire and major shareholder in the gambling giant fronted the WA probe via videolink on Friday, admitting he did not attend a single board meeting of Crown Perth’s Burswood Ltd between 2013 to 2016 after he moved overseas.

 

Counsel assisting Patricia Cahill suggested that if he had been “more active and engaged”, Burswood Ltd may have been more aware of the risk of money laundering through its Riverbank Investments account, which was closed by ANZ in 2014 over regulatory compliance issues.

 

Mr Packer said he “should have attended or resigned”, and an account closure “absolutely would have been a red flag” but claimed he was “not informed” of the risk of criminal infiltration through high roller junket tours until after 19 Crown staff were arrested in China in 2016 for marketing the business on the mainland, where gambling is illegal.

 

“You weren’t keeping an eye on things, Mr Packer,” Ms Cahill said, which he rejected.

 

“I should have resigned or attended, I accept that,” he added.

 

He agreed he left it to management to ensure risks such as money laundering were mitigated and assumed they were doing enough.

 

“I had full confidence in the CEO Barry Felstead,” Mr Packer said.

 

Mr Packer said “at some point the culture slipped”, responding “potentially” after Ms Cahill asked whether that was due to his absence.

 

The royal commission has been seeking to establish to what extent those who ran the Perth venue functioned independently or at the behest of the parent company in a bid to find out who was most responsible for allowing the money laundering scandal to unfold.

 

Mr Packer paused lengthily and carefully considered Ms Cahill’s questions about the 2004 to 2016 period, when he was chair of Burswood Ltd, before responding.

 

He often said he did not recall certain details and that he was “not a lawyer”, and asked Ms Cahill to repeat questions.

 

Earlier, Mr Packer’s barrister Noel Huntley objected twice when Ms Cahill pressed his client on how the corporate structure operated, describing her line of questioning as “argumentative”.

 

“I may well have known these things in 2006. I can’t remember now,” the businessman had responded.

 

He admitted he could not recall which specific subsidiary held the Crown Perth gaming licence.

 

Asked if that mattered to him, he replied: “What mattered to me was that the company was operating and behaving well, and that if that wasn’t happening that information should flow to the board ASAP.”

 

Mr Packer disagreed with testimony by former Crown Resorts director and his board nominee John Poynton that the overwhelming power rested with the parent company.

 

He said Burswood Ltd only did not have the authority to sign off on capital expenditure and redevelopment decisions, with Crown Resorts holding the purse strings.

 

If Crown Perth didn’t want someone appointed, it would not happen, Mr Packer said.

Ms Berejiklian today began her evidence at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) as it investigates whether she breached public trust due to the undeclared relationship with the disgraced Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire.

 

One project at the centre of the investigation is a $5.5 million grant for the Australian Clay Target Association, which went before a cabinet committee Ms Berejiklian chaired as then-treasurer in December 2016.

 

At that time, treasury advice was to not support the project because a net benefit to the state had not been adequately demonstrated.
