The End Of Fiat? Multiple States Move To Recognize Gold & Silver As Legal Currency

A dozen states are simultaneously pushing through legislation to undermine the Federal Reserves unconstitutional monopoly on money.

It's no secret that the US economy is in dire straits. With the rising price of goods coupled with the devaluation of the dollar, inflation over the last several years is soaring as the reckless spending and money printing of the government continues unabated.

The financial hardships that Americans are experiencing are a direct result of the fiscal irresponsibility of government monetary policy which has caused a steady decline in the purchasing power of the dollar. From decades of debt brought about by the endless spending to finance forever wars, corporate bailouts, the bloated federal budget, rising taxes, and more recently, the disastrous wealth transfer of the COVID years in the form of the destructive economic impact of lockdown policies and the trillions printed in subsidies under the guise of "stimulus"; the US economy is comparable to the Titanic, and we the people are Jack Dawson.

However, as federal fiscal policy continues to take on water at least a dozen states are attempting to deploy life rafts, exercising their constitutional rights to enact legislation in hopes of once again making sound money an economic standard barer.

Article 1 Section 10 of the United States constitution expressly states that "No state shall… make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts". Based on this simple premise many, most notably former congressman Ron Paul, have argued for decades that the current US monetary system run by the Federal Reserve of printing debt based fiat dollars and policies of price fixing is not only destructive, but completely unconstitutional.

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration yanked roughly $400 million in grants and contracts from Columbia University on Friday, citing the school’s noncompliance with anti-discrimination laws.

The funding cancellation comes after months of antisemitic harassment and intimidation on the Morningside Heights campus — with pro-Hamas slogans proclaimed by demonstrators and the NYPD eventually being called in to restore order last April.

The scheme is that they put court-appointed lawyers in place to represent the mothers whose children are the subject of removal proceedings, and then the "mother's lawyer" actually helps the state steal the children from the parents.

One lawyer allegedly involved is in Pittsfield, Mass and is named Sara Habhab.

Habhab is an Army veteran who, by all outward appearances, is a patriotic veteran serving as a humble public servant, i.e., as a court-appointed attorney.

But the rumor is that Sara Habhab and other CPCS attorneys purportedly representing the biological mothers are in place only to give the illusion of a justice system, while these allegedly corrupt lawyers allegedly work behind the scenes to ensure that the babies are removed from their biological mothers.

Back in June, they launched onboard Boeing's new Starliner crew capsule to the ISS, but after the capsule encountered a cascade of thruster issues and helium leaks, NASA decided it was too risky to use the vessel to return them to Earth.

Wilmore and Williams have been stuck ever since. But ask NASA about what’s happening and you’ll hear the same dubious answer over and again - that Wilmore and Williams are not ‘stranded’ and that they are, in fact, grateful to be floating through space, more than 250 miles above their families, for a total of 274 days.

Well, as a former manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, who worked inside the space agency for nearly a decade and is now an aerospace industry consultant, it is hard to believe a word that NASA says.

The agency lost its way a long time ago.

It was stunning to hear NASA’s Wilmore – a former Navy test pilot with three spaceflights under his belt – on Tuesday seemingly confirming SpaceX founder Elon Musk’s claim that the astronauts could have already been rescued had the mission not been blocked by Joe Biden’s White House.

'We offered to bring them back early, but the offer was rejected by the Biden administration,’ Musk said Monday on Joe Rogan's podcast.

The following day, Wilmore appeared to support Musk when asked about the claim, 'I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual.'

Wilmore’s teenage daughter, Daryn, was even more emphatic in a recently resurfaced social media post from February: 'There's a lot of politics, there's a lot of things that I'm not at liberty to say… but there's been issues. There's been negligence. And that's the reason why this has just kept getting delayed.'

While I don’t claim to know what was said behind closed doors at NASA – and even though I am no fan of Elon Musk who I believe is recklessly slashing away at the federal workforce - I wouldn’t doubt that his claims either.

No one on NASA’s payroll is permitted to freely speak their mind. But as a former employee of the agency, I can tell you what I believe it to be the truth: our astronauts are at risk and allegations of political corruption at NASA are not to be dismissed.

First, spaceflight is inherently dangerous. Every time a human blasts off on a rocket ship, we are daring the universe to kill them.

And even though Wilmore and Williams may indeed be happy to spend more time than they anticipated in service to their country, they want to return home.

At 274 days in zero-gravity, 59-year-old Williams is nearing the record for the oldest woman to spend the longest stretch in space.

Peggy Whitson spent 289 days in space when she was 56 years old. And Whitson knew what she was getting into.

Williams – while aware of the peril of her mission – likely didn’t expect to be in the running for a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

We know that women face a higher threat of suffering from the effects of osteoporosis, a loss of bone density resulting in weak and brittle bones, than their male counterparts. And older women are at even greater risk.

Israeli sources speaking to Haaretz doubt the IDF's ability to draft the amount of reserve soldiers needed for the plan

The new head of the Israeli military is set to present his plan for the renewal of Israel’s campaign in Gaza and operations to retake territory that the IDF left during the first phase of the ceasefire deal, Haaretz reported on Thursday.

Eyal Zamir was sworn in as the IDF’s new chief of staff on Wednesday and vowed that Israel’s “mission” against Hamas has “not yet been completed,” and other Israeli officials have been threatening to restart the genocidal war at a level not seen before.

However, Israeli sources told Haaretz that they doubt the IDF will be able to draft the number of required reservists to enact Zamir’s plan, which requires several troops divisions to be deployed across Gaza. The report said many officers in the reserves have made clear they would not volunteer to return to combat in Gaza since they think it would only be done for political considerations.

Other sources told Haaretz that the Israeli military could restart combat in Gaza again, but the idea that it would be more intense than before is overblown as the IDF wants to keep its forces ready for the possibility of war with Iran.

The Israeli military has been stretched thin as the IDF has invaded southern Syria, continues to occupy southern Lebanon, and has significantly escalated attacks in the West Bank.

The current ceasefire agreement is hanging by a thread as Israel has imposed a total blockade on all goods entering Gaza, a major violation of the deal. The Israeli military has also killed over 100 Palestinians since the truce went into effect on January 19.

On Thursday, Israel carried out a drone strike in Gaza, killing at least three Palestinians. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the drone targeted a gathering of civilians east of the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City. For its part, the IDF claimed it targeted people planting bombs but provided no evidence.

Entitlement spending is swallowing nearly half the budget. There is no stopping this spending addiction and the government’s checkbook is running out.

The numbers don’t lie. Nearly half of all U.S. government spending now goes to social benefits, a staggering 45% of total outlays in 2024. That’s not just a small increase—it’s a dramatic surge from just a few decades ago. This is a structural shift, not a temporary blip. Every year, more of the budget is eaten up by entitlement programs, with Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security leading the charge.

Medicaid’s share of spending now stands at 9.4%, up significantly from previous years. Medicare isn’t far behind, rising to 10.9%. Meanwhile, Social Security alone now accounts for 14.6% of government expenditures. Add in “other benefits,” which have also jumped to 9.9%, and the picture becomes clear. These programs are swallowing the budget at an accelerating pace.

This isn’t sustainable. There’s a limit to how much can be spent before the entire system collapses under its own weight. Debt is already piling up at record levels, and interest payments could soon outpace even social benefits. The more the government spends on entitlements, the less it has for anything else. What happens when the debt-fueled spending spree finally hits a wall?

Economist Peter Schiff has been warning about this for years, and his words are becoming harder to ignore. “Americans will soon find out the hard way the downside of decades of outsourcing manufacturing and living off trade deficits and the dollar’s reserve status. The coming day of reckoning is long overdue. I hope that when the financial crisis hits, we finally do the right thing.”

The signs are everywhere. Deficits are soaring. The dollar’s dominance is being challenged. Interest rates are rising. If nothing changes, a reckoning isn’t just possible—it’s inevitable. Governments can only borrow and spend endlessly until reality forces a painful correction.

The longer this continues, the worse the eventual fallout will be. The U.S. is racing toward a fiscal cliff, but the brakes are broken, and no one in Washington seems willing to fix them.

However, the AEFIs didn’t include long-term diseases such as cancer, which likely contributed to more deaths.
