NFL hires former AG Loretta Lynch for racial bias lawsuit: Report

 

Lynch, the first black woman to be confirmed as attorney general, is now representing the NFL.

 

The National Football League reportedly has hired former Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch for its defense in a racial discrimination lawsuit filed earlier this month by Brian Flores, former Miami head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

 

Flores' lawsuit against the NFL and three of its teams seeks "to shine a light on the racial injustices that take place inside the NFL and to effectuate real change for the future."

 

Lynch, the first black woman to be confirmed as attorney general, is now a partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Four sources told Bloomberg on Wednesday that she is working on the lawsuit with the firm's chairman Brad Karp.

 

Flores, who is black and Hispanic, has not been picked to be head coach in several NFL openings after he was fired fired by the Dolphins in January.

 

The NFL released a statement on Flores' lawsuit the day it was filed.

 

"Diversity is core to everything we do, and there are few issues on which our clubs and our internal leadership team spend more time," the NFL stated. "We will defend against these claims, which are without merit."

In the mid 2000s, Aubrey Cottle was part of a crew of online pranksters who called themselves “trolls” and orbited two anarchic online message boards: Something Awful and 4chan. Thousands of users were on these boards—almost all young men—but among them was a more die-hard band who hung out in the same chat rooms, feuded online, and met up in real life. They called themselves Anonymous. The name was derived from the way 4chan presented usernames. If none was specified, the site displayed “Anonymous” by default.

In 2007, a man appeared at Cottle’s door. Cottle was 20 and still living with his mother in Toronto. As Cottle tells the story (confirmed in part by a friend of his), the man was from the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the nation’s equivalent to the CIA. Curious, Cottle led him to his room, which was littered with hard drives, server equipment, and old copies of the ’90s hacker magazine 2600.

“Would you be willing to use your abilities against al-Qaeda and terrorist groups?” the agent asked him. A number of thoughts flashed through Cottle’s mind: Is this guy for real? I would never work for the feds. Should I delete everything? But mostly he felt like a fraud. The man thought he was something he wasn’t.

“You want me to raid internet forums for you?” Cottle asked.

When 4chan began cracking down on organizing raids, Anonymous migrated to Cottle’s copycat site, 420chan, which he’d created to discuss his principal interests: drugs and professional wrestling. And Cottle became the de facto leader of Anonymous, a role he relished. [WASHINGTON, D.C. – Feb. 16, 2022] Project Veritas published Part Two of its series on the FDA on Wednesday night which featured FDA Executive Officer, Christopher Cole, speaking about the inner workings of the agency including the FDA’s conflicts of interest, overspending, and why it’s hard for those within the agency to speak out on such abuses.

 

In the footage, Cole talks about the impact that pharmaceutical companies have on the agency including the process for approving drugs.

 

“A long time ago, Congress approved user fees for [the] FDA. Basically, we charge the industry millions of dollars in order to hire more drug reviewers and vaccine reviewers, which will speed up the approval process, so they make more money,” Cole says in the hidden camera footage.

 

He then reveals that the FDA tones down the impact that these user fees have on the agency’s operations because, “they’re dependent on the drug companies, and the vaccine companies and these other companies for their agency to operate.”

 

The incendiary footage, which features Cole talking about how the additional money the FDA brings in “gets banked” to be spent on “whatever you can, whether it’s right or wrong,’’ also features Cole discussing reasons why it’s difficult for anyone in government to speak out about practices he sees as “probably excessive.”

 

“I don’t think there’s enough people saying – they’re, like, ‘Look, that’s fine, but that’s not right. So, we’re not going to charge that.’ You don’t want to be that person. You’re not going to have a long shelf life in the agency if you’re always that person,” Cole said.

 

“There’s not an incentive to speak out in government, surprisingly. You would think there would be, but there’s not. It’s better just to just not say anything and just ignore it. The whistleblower, well, it’s high-profile whistleblower statutes and everything, that’s kind of ridiculous,” Cole said before adding “it’s better to just stay quiet and accept.”

 

Cole’s LinkedIn page lists him as an Executive Officer within the agency’s Countermeasures Initiatives, which plays a critical role in ensuring that drugs, vaccines, and other measures to counter infectious diseases and viruses are safe. He made these revelations on a hidden camera to an undercover Project Veritas reporter.

 

A spokesperson for FDA issued a statement yesterday saying, “The person purportedly in the video does not work on vaccine matters and does not represent the views of the FDA.”

 

This statement appears to contradict a phone call released Wednesday afternoon by Project Veritas wherein Cole reiterated, during the conversation with Project Veritas Founder and CEO, James O’Keefe, that he is “a manager in the office that helps oversee the approval of the COVID vaccines for emergency approval.”

Pilot dies after crash involving plane, tractor-trailer on I-85 in Davidson County

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A pilot died and emergency crews are on scene after a plane crash involving a tractor-trailer shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate-85 on Wednesday afternoon, officials told sister-station WGHP.

 

Troopers said the plane was fully engulfed in flames after crashing into a tractor-trailer.

The southbound lanes were closed between exit 91 and exit 88 near Linwood at 5:21 p.m. and are expected to reopen around 11 p.m., according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

 

The driver of the tractor-trailer was out of the vehicle. The identity of the pilot was not known.

The Federal Aviation Administration said a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron crashed into a tractor-trailer on I-85 near the Davidson County Airport in Lexington around 5:35 p.m.

 

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate.

The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation, according to the FAA.

Judge temporarily blocks release of Bob Saget death records, photos

A judge has temporarily blocked the release of Bob Saget’s death records and photos at the request of his family.

 

The “Full House” actor’s family sued the Orange County Sheriff and the District Nine Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday, as they both investigated the death and have access to the records.

 

Circuit Judge Vincent Chiu granted the temporarily injunction on the grounds the release of the records would cause “severe mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress" for his family, and "would cause immediate and widespread dissemination of the Records to the internet, as well as print and television media outlets," USA Today reported.

 

The lawsuit said it would cause harm to his wife and three daughters for the records to be released as they include pictures and videos that "graphically depict Mr. Saget, his likeness or features or parts of him."

 

“While we are sensitive to the family’s concerns about the right to privacy, that must be balanced with our commitment to transparency, compliance with the law, and the public’s right to know,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement to USA Today.

 

Saget died in a Florida hotel room in January from head trauma, with investigators finding no drugs or alcohol in his system.

Authorities "concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep."

 

The Hill has reached out to the sheriff’s office and examiner’s office for comment.

A soon-to-be-released docu-series will present a rare and researched look at one of the most perplexing Biblical topics: Nephilim (giants).

Produced by The Inspiration Networks, a faith-based family entertainment network, “Angels & Giants, The Watchers & Nephilim” presents four one-hour segments that are a serious investigation into the theories behind the Biblical giants.

Rudy Landa, a senior producer and director at The Inspiration Networks and company CEO David Cerullo decided to make the film three years ago, their enthusiasm for the subject fueled by their love of the Bible.

“The Bible describes the Nephilim in several places,” Landa said. “The main commentary of the Nephilim happens in Genesis chapter six. Most people cruise right over that passage. The Nephilim were the offspring of heavenly beings who were placed in the spiritual realm to watch over the earth in those days. They were principalities in the heavenly realm.”

In the pre-diluvian sixth chapter of Genesis, the Bible says that the “Sons of Elohim” cohabited with the daughters of men. The offspring of these unions were called Nephilim, a race of giants that lived on the earth.

“The docu-series brings the biblical sources, but it should be interesting for non-religious viewers,” Landa said. “We seek out actual proof, the traces and clues that are out there in the world, and not just the faith-based claims. Because there is so much archaeological evidence that needs to be explored.”

The subject can easily become sensationalized, and Landa stressed that he did not want to take that approach. He enlisted the help of author Douglas Van Dorn, who had just written a book on the subject, to guide the project.

“We present the evidence and we invite people to research to reach their own conclusions,” Landa said. “We aren’t dogmatic and don’t hide anything. We bring the sources and encourage the viewer to ask questions, to continue to study and do their own research.”

Decision on Iran nuclear deal days away, ball in Tehran's court - France

PARIS, Feb 16 (Reuters) - France on Wednesday said a decision on salvaging Iran's 2015 nuclear deal with world powers was just days away and that it was now up to Tehran to make the political choice while Tehran called on Western powers to be "realistic."

 

Indirect talks between Iran and the United States on reviving the tattered agreement resumed last week after a 10-day hiatus and officials from the other parties to the accord Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia have shuttled between the two sides as they seek to close gaps.

Western diplomats previously indicated they hoped to have a breakthrough by now, but tough issues remain unresolved. Iran has rejected any deadline imposed by Western powers.

 

"We have reached tipping point now. It's not a matter of weeks; it's a matter of days," French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told parliament, adding that the Western powers, Russia and China were in accord on the outlines of the accord.

"Political decisions are needed from the Iranians. Either they trigger a serious crisis in the coming days, or they accept the agreement which respects the interests of all parties."

 

Iran's lead nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani responded in a tweet, calling on Western powers "to be realistic, avoid intransigence and heed lessons of past 4yrs. Time for their serious decisions."

 

"After weeks of intensive talks, we are closer than ever to an agreement; nothing is agreed until everything is agreed, though," he tweeted.

Several other sources tracking the talks said that the next couple of days would be crucial in determining whether there was a way to revive the agreement.

 

The pact began to unravel in 2018 when then-President Donald Trump withdrew the United States and reimposed broad economic sanctions on Iran, which prompted Tehran to breach the deal's limits on its uranium enrichment activity a year later.

 

Diplomats and analysts say the longer Iran remains outside the deal, the more nuclear expertise it will gain, shortening the time it might need to race to build a bomb if it chose to, thereby vitiating the accord's original purpose. Tehran denies it has ever sought to develop nuclear arms.

Western diplomats say they are now in the final phase of the talks and believe that a deal is within reach.

 

'MOMENT OF TRUTH'

"We are coming to the moment of truth. If we want Iran to respect its (nuclear) nonproliferation commitments and in exchange for the United States to lift sanctions, there has to be something left to do it," Le Drian said.

 

Iran's foreign ministry said on Monday it was "in a hurry" to strike a new deal as long as its national interests were protected and that restoring the pact required "political decisions by the West".

In Tokyo or any other big city in Japan, there is always a store selling military uniforms and paraphernalia – both authentic and replica – belonging to a variety of armies. The most popular among them are the modern American military uniform and, as strange as it may seem, the old German one circa the Third Reich’s Wehrmacht and SS days. So let’s talk about the traditions first.

 

Shinzo Abe comes from a political dynasty. His father, Shintaro Abe, was a leading member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), which has been in power for over 50 years. He served as the country’s foreign minister and married the daughter of prime minister Nobusuke Kishi in 1951. Archaeologists generally place the beginning of the construction as early as 3500 BCE. The purpose of Gilgal Refaim is still a mystery and the focus of scholarly debate.

“There are theories that claim that Og was buried at Gilgal Refaim,” Landa said.

The movie explores the theory that the center of the structure was used as an excarnation chamber where the body was allowed to decompose. The bones would have later been interred in a huge serpentine structure of loose stones adjacent to stone rings.

“This dual arrangement, circles of stones near a serpentine mound, appears in several places around the world where it was known to be used as a necropolis for this form of burial,” Landa explained. One such prehistoric serpentine mound is “Serpent Mound” in Ohio.

The name Bashan is derived from the proto-Semitic root Ugaritic term btn, meaning “serpent.”

Landa explained that Gilgal Refaim aligns with significant astronomical phenomena.

The entranceway to the center looks out on the sunrise on the summer solstice. Notches in the walls indicate the spring and fall equinoxes. Other markings indicate star risings. This would have allowed the site to be used to predict the beginning of the rainy season, a very important survival skill.

“There was clearly a very intelligent design behind the site,” Landa noted.

Based on Genesis 14:13, which describes a “fugitive” (Palit) who told Abram about Lot’s capture, Jewish tradition teaches that Og was alive in the time of Noah but escaped the flood by clinging to the side of the Ark.

Og was named in Deuteronomy (3:11) as the only remaining man from the Rephaim. A rough estimate of Og’s size can be made based on a reference to the size of his bed which is described as nine amot long and four amot wide. The Biblical measurement of an amah, literally the length of a forearm, is 9.2 inches, which would mean that Og’s bed was over 14 feet long and over six feet wide.

Judge tosses Zimmerman’s lawsuit against Trayvon’s parents

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A judge in Florida has dismissed a defamation and conspiracy lawsuit former neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman had filed against the parents of Trayvon Martin, the teen he fatally shot almost a decade ago in a case that drew international attention about race and gun violence.

 

Judge John Cooper in Tallahassee dismissed all counts against all defendants in the lawsuit filed by Zimmerman against Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin; attorney Ben Crump, who had represented the family; and others.

 

In his order, the judge wrote that Zimmerman had failed to show “any fraudulent representation” and said any further arguments in the case would be futile.

 

“There can be no claim for conspiracy to defraud if there is no adequately stated claim for fraud,” Cooper wrote in the order filed more than two weeks ago.

 

The other defendants in the lawsuit included HarperCollins Publishers, which had published a book Martin’s parents wrote about the case; Brittany Diamond Eugene; and Rachel Jeantel.

 

According to Zimmerman’s lawsuit, Brittany Diamond Eugene didn’t want to testify that she had been talking to Martin before he was killed. So her half-sister, Rachel Jeantel, pretended that she was talking to the teen before he was fatally shot. Jeantel ended up testifying at Zimmerman’s 2013 trial in Sanford, Florida.

 

The lawsuit claimed that Trayvon Martin’s parents, along with Crump, participated in the conspiracy in an effort to get charges filed against Zimmerman, have him tried and “destroy his good will and reputation in he community.” Zimmerman also claimed the defendants portrayed him as a racist murderer who racially profiled Martin. Martin was Black. Zimmerman’s father is white and his mother is Hispanic.

 

Zimmerman was acquitted during a 2013 trial, which focused attention on race and Florida’s “stand your ground” self-defense law that allows people to use force without retreating if they feel threatened.

 

The case was originally filed in 2019 in state court in central Florida’s Polk County, but it was later transferred to state court in Tallahassee to accommodate some of the participants.

  • rejected by the woman of your dreams so have a dream that has her throwing you a party where everyone is rooting for you to get back with her and everyone is decked out in glam rock costumes and mohawks

  • a musical dream yes, once again, I shit you not, and the women in the dream admit that being conscious of your semen retention actually drives women interested in you, CRAZY, and proceed to go into a musical number about it, only to be shoved backstage and spinning back into your bed, AT THE PSYCHWARD!

  • hanging out with Pete Davidson, and his giant opioid producing rabbits, and you just can't leave the batteries for the remote for his TV alone, only to realize, it's the batteries that keep your AI avatar connected to the holographic reality he downloaded you into, because he wanted to know if you/this anon is the real "swordy"

 

Some of my relatives are so preoccupied with proving me wrong about Q/QAnon/Qannon kek, you should hear their attempts of referring to Q in their own way that even though from their perspective, "Trump lost," they still seem to think that they need to make sure I know that I was a fool for being involved in this critically vital grassroots research endeavor on a mass collective level. What do they foresee that, although we too see, that they must attack with such persistence and intensity? Are they the ones that are coming to terms with the actuality of this entire situation?

 

Look frens, fellow anons, lurkers and normies alike… even though our reluctant and at times, impossible, family members won't let us live our lives peacefully at any extent, just know that they are going through what we VOLUNTARILY went through-YEARS AGO! Unlike us, they are almost being forced to see the veil being lifted from over their eyes, and face the uncomfortable, unbearable, and in some cases, should be known to the minimum aspects-due to the mental damage it will cause if [FOCUS] is applied to it. Even though it is extremely difficult, especially at the seemingly worst times, to let their forms of abuse roll off your back; just do it. They too, believe it or not, are suffering. You must remind yourselves of this, because this is how they are coping with the pain.

 

Remember, if you were here since the beginning, or in the early days, then you know that you were supposed to be adopting the role of a "guide" for these people. Who better to practice guiding, than your loved ones and relatives? If you can successfully assist in their process of awakening, then you'll be able to help anyone that genuinely requests your personal form of guidance. Trust me anons, they may not have the wherewithall to thank you now, but when the time comes, and it will, they will have nothing but gratitude you were there for them, when everyone else was 'qlueless.'
