Nearly 3 million reports of problems

A surge of reports of problems with dental implants may have remained almost impossible to find if it wasn’t for a former FDA data analyst. After leaving the FDA, Madris Kinard started Device Events. Her company specializes in searching through data in the FDA’s MAUDE database, which contains reports of the problems with medical devices reported to the FDA. MAUDE stands for Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience.

MAUDE can be cumbersome and difficult to search, producing only 500 reports at a time. Kinard’s software sorts through millions of reports in seconds, allowing her to compile data that may take other researchers weeks to gather. Searching MAUDE, Kinard discovered dental implants have nearly 3 million reports of problems, more than any other medical device.

Kinard says the public has not been provided enough information on risks associated with dental implants. “Anybody who had looked at adverse events or problem reports with the devices over the last 20 to 25 years would have thought that were almost no problem with dental implants,” she said.

Reports of problems flew under the radar for decades, partly due to the fact the FDA had two separate systems for reporting problems. From 1995 to 2018, the MAUDE database received more than 58,000 reports of problems with dental implants. Those reports were available to the public. The relatively small number of reports each year created the appearance problems were rare.

A second system called Alternative Summary Reporting existed for manufacturers to report problems. The information in the ASRs was not publicly available. During the same time frame from 1995 to 2018, manufacturers reported more than 2.1 million problems with dental implants that were kept hidden. In an effort to create more transparency, in 2018, the FDA ended the use of ASRs and released decades of data. See Kris Pickel’s previous investigation on the FDA’s 2019 data dump.

Sorting through MAUDE, Kinard discovered reports of problems are currently surging. In 2018, the last year ASRs were used, there were less than 13,000 reports of problems with dental devices. In the past three years, possibly due to more awareness, reports have increased by more than 100,000 each year. In the first nine months of 2021, the FDA received more than 357,000 reports of problems with dental implants.

Kinard’s research also reveals out of the more than 2.9 million reports of problems, 88% are implants failing immediately or over time. A failure results in the patient losing the implant.

Potential underreporting

The FDA attributes the increase in reports of problems, in part, to more people getting dental implants. Nearly 3 million reports may sound surprising, but the true number of problems with dental implants could be even higher. FDA spokeswoman Stephanie Caccomo says MAUDE is important for detecting safety issues with medical devices, but it is only one of the tools used and has limitations. Risk factors

Some advertisements claim dental implants have success rates as high as 98%. What’s not revealed is that percentage is based on a study acknowledging the clinical trial does not reflect real-life situations. FDA creates website

If you turn on the television, there is a good chance you will see commercials touting the benefits of dental implants. Patient testimonials include glowing stories of new teeth transforming their smiles, giving them confidence, and improving their lives. With any medical procedure, patients are told to be informed but reliable information on the risks and complications associated with dental implants is difficult to find.

The FDA regulates medical devices. The agency’s website includes pages detailing warnings for everything from hip and breast implants to blood glucose monitoring. Until recently, warnings for dental implants fell under a generic page titled “Implants and Prosthetics.” The webpage does not mention the words “dental implants.”

After the FDA was presented with the information in this investigation, including the increasing number of reports of problems in the agency’s MAUDE database, the FDA reacted within a matter of weeks, creating a webpage dedicated to the benefits and risks of dental implants titled: Dental Implants: What You Should Know.

The website encourages people who experience problems to file a voluntary report through MedWatch but does not alert the public to the millions of issues already reported. Kinard says it’s past time for the FDA to provide stronger warnings on the surging number of implant failures. “It’s very concerning to me. I’m not sure why the FDA hasn’t put out any kind of notification to patients and physicians,” says Kinard.

What’s in your dental implant?

The answer to that question is, you don’t know. You can find out more about what’s in your snack than what’s in your dental implant. The FDA requires ingredients in food to be listed. Dental implants don’t require the same transparency. To get on the market, dental implant manufacturers only have to show their device is “similar to a previously approved product.”

In documentation provided to the FDA, dental implant manufacturers can list general materials such as titanium alloys. An alloy is a mixture of metals. However, the other metals are not revealed. This means you can learn more about the ingredients in a frozen burrito by reading the packaging than what’s in a medical device you implant in your body.

Dr. Dirk Duddeck runs the Clean Implant Foundation, a laboratory in Berlin accredited by the German government that analyzes dental implants looking for contaminants.

He says over the past few years, using a cleanroom to avoid being the source of contamination, he’s analyzed more than 300 different dental implants and found contamination on roughly three out 10 implants that are supposed to be sterile. Contaminants, according to Duddeck, include everything from toxic chemicals used in production to tiny metal particles including iron, chromium, nickel, tungsten, copper and tin. Duddeck details his research in a video:

So those of you in this group, and all of the many other groups and individuals, all part of the collective consciousness, are having a great effect on bringing about this Great Changeover to this planet, and moving closer and closer to bringing about that Great Effect which is the Solar Flash, or the Great Event.

Now whether that Solar Flash happens in the near future now, or a later date, or whether it happens at all, because as we are finding it now, consciousness is rapidly changing on the planet, and may indeed preclude the need for the Solar Flash to even happen, or to happen in this time period. Because you are moving everything ahead at a great pace.

Awakening. You yourselves have awakened some time ago, but you are bringing about the Great Awakening to many, many more, all of you together. All of you, the Boots on the Group, the White Hats, the Alliance, the Galactics that are working with you, the Ascended Ones that are working with you.

All are bringing about the greater effect of change to this planet, moving to, indeed, the New Earth, the New Golden Age upon this planet. The Golden Age that you have been all working for since the times of Atlantis. And then will there be the great celebration that has been spoken of for many, many years now, that we have been waiting for, that you have been longing for. Where families, long lost and long ago families can come back together again. You can join your families from the skies, from the stars. Reunite! That is what this Great Awakening is all about, that we can all come together as one and be as one consciousness together moving forward.

And you, those of you that are ready for it, can rejoin those families and rejoin the Galactic Federation of Planets and be a part of the great expression of moving forward into many other systems that are still as of this time of need. Just as the Earth and Gaia has been in need, there are many, many planets that are still beckoning. He promoted the article in a tweet, concluding, “The Vatican endangers its moral authority, should it renew the deal.”

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. In appealing to the Vatican’s support for religious freedom as a reason to drop its China agreement, Mr. Pompeo seemed to seek common ground, but in a way that upset the pope’s chief allies and delighted his chief critics.

I just spoke with Todd Yetman, brother of Gregory, the man hunted down by FBI for J6 related offenses.

The conversation was sad, infuriating, and in some instances, funny.

First, he said the FBI staked out their home for THREE MONTHS prior to the raid on Wednesday am.

(Todd, Greg, and another brother live together in the home their father built in NJ).

After Todd and his other brother left for work after 6am, Greg left the house around 7am to go to work. They all work for same company.

That's when armed FBI agents and SWAT vehicles surrounded Greg.

"Greg walked out, froze in the face of guns drawn, and ran."

A woman who lives with them heard the commotion. When she opened the door, she faced armed agents who told her to get on the ground. She thought they were being robbed.

About 30 armed agents stormed the house and property. They threw flashbangs inside areas of the property including the garage. This resulted in broken windows of vehicles and a boat.

"They went nutty, tore up the house, stuff scattered everywhere."

Agents told Todd, after he returned to the house that afternoon from work, to open his gun safe. When he refused, they told him if he didn't, they would break it open. Although not a defendant, FBI took his guns and ammo.

Todd confronted the agents, asking "who killed someone?" They treated my brother like a criminal, Todd said.

Vehicles were everywhere blocking the driveway and parked around the property. FBI and local law enforcement used helicopters, drones, and search dogs to try to track down Greg. That's when Todd again confronted agents.

"Go get Hunter, go get Joe Biden," Todd said. "Everyone of you is corrupt, you're all Joe Biden's puppets." He demanded to know why they were not arresting Antifa and BLM.

They then asked him not to be rude, lol.

News reporters were staked out near the house the entire time. The FBI asked Todd if the media tried to interview him. He said no, but he hoped they had. "They are as corrupt as you guys."

Law enforcement issued an emergency bulletin to neighbors to shelter in place. Even the small town's mayor told residents Yetman was not a threat.

Greg Yetman turned himself in this morning without incident. Todd doesn't know where his brother went the past 2 nights or where he is now.

"He would give you the shirt off his back," Todd said. "He helps everyone."

Greg, according to his brother, served in Afghanistan and Iraq. He also worked as a guard at Gitmo. He's been a National Guardsman since–but he quit after refusing to take the Covid jab.

"I am sick to my stomach," Todd said. "There will be no justice, that's the sad thing about it. I feel bad for the country and for my kids."

As of tonight, DOJ has not yet filed any charging documents detailing Greg's offenses. Some reports claim Greg used pepper spray against police. Even so, this is not the normal protocol for arresting an individual accused of spraying police nearly 3 years later.

This is all about optics and juicing DOJ's "domestic terror" data ahead of Trump's J6 trial–Jack Smith recently admitted in a motion that the trial would prove Trump was responsible for the events of January 6. Also, this account is consistent with other accounts of FBI raids against Jan 6 protesters.

And Greg Yetman wasn't the only American arrested this week for Jan 6. Five others have been charged including 2 women on trespassing misdemeanors.

DOJ boasted in a J6 update this week that more than 1,200 individuals have been arrested and charged over the four-hour disturbance.

US Atty Matthew Graves warned the final count could exceed 2,000.

A horrifying report on the extent of clerical sex abuse in France has sent shock waves through the Catholic Church. But will it change anything?

ROME — “Marie” was placed in a French Catholic boarding school for “young girls from good families” when she was in the fifth grade.

She remembers a nun who would come to her class every day to choose a student to help her with Mass. But the nun wasn’t looking for someone to help her. She was looking for a victim.

“I was 11 and looked 9. She would choose me once every two or three times,” she recalls. “She would take me to her office, lock the door, and then draw the curtains.

After which she would put me on her knees to make me read the gospel according to Saint Paul or another saint, while she squeezed me with one hand to her chest and pulled down my panties with the other hand.

We were of course in pleated skirts and not in pants. It terrified me and paralyzed.”

“Marie” couldn’t talk to her devout Catholic parents about the abuse until a friend convinced her to do so. The result, she says, was catastrophic. “You are really a pervert, a vicious liar.

How dare you say such things?” her parents told her. In fact, her parents had told the nuns that she was being sent to boarding school because she needed to be tamed.

“I was truly [a gift] for this nun… because she knew full well that she did not risk anything.”

The abuse lasted the whole year. At the age of 35, “Marie” told her mother again about the abuse. “My mother blissfully told me that it was impossible for a nun to whom she entrusted her daughter to abuse a girl,” she says.

“Female pedophilia exists and unfortunately the media never talk about it.”

“Marie” was certainly not alone. Dozens of other victims of priests, nuns, and Catholic school personnel in France form the basis of a 2,500-page report released Tuesday by a special commission led by Jean-Marc Sauvé.

While 80 percent of the victims were young boys between the ages of 10 and 13, many young girls were abused as well, and not only by priests. Nuns used crucifixes to rape little girls or forced boys to have sex with them, too.

The commission spent nearly three years combing through complaints and press reports and interviewing victims going back to the 1950s.

Of the 3,000 abusers identified by the commission, two-thirds are priests.

They found that priests and nuns alone abused around 216,000 children, but that the number climbs to 330,000 when they counted abuse at the hands of non-clergy who worked in Catholic schools and other institutions.

The report only covers minors; the authors, who include scholars, psychologists, and law enforcement officials, say there could be many young men and women over the age of 18 who were also victims.

Their summary is damning, determining that the Catholic Church in France showed “a deep, cruel indifference toward victims.”

Only 22 of the thousands of cases of criminal pedophilia qualify under French law for legal action.

More than 40 cases that are past the statutes of limitations have been forwarded to the French Catholic Church in hopes that the perpetrators will be punished. On average, each perpetrator abused 70 children. The president of the French Conference of Bishops, Eric de Moulins-Beaufort, said the church is “appalled” by the report. “I wish on that day to ask for pardon, pardon to each of you,” he told the victims. Pope Francis also expressed “sorrow” over the findings, saying he will pray for those affected. “His first thoughts are with the victims, with great sadness for their wounds,” Francis said in a statement through his press office, adding that he hoped the French church would now “undertake a way of redemption.”

Survivor Francois Devaux, who founded the victims' group La Parole Liberee, attended the presentation of the report. “You are a disgrace to our humanity,” he said, addressing the church as a whole.

“In this hell, there have been abominable mass crimes… but there has been even worse: betrayal of trust, betrayal of morale, betrayal of children.”

A report German authorities tried to silence shows how Catholic nuns peddled orphaned boys to predatory priests and perverts for decades.

ROME — A jarring report outlining decades of rampant child sex abuse at the hands of greedy nuns and perverted priests paints a troubling picture of systematic abuse in the German church.

The report is the byproduct of a lawsuit alleging that orphaned boys living in the boarding houses of the Order of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer were sold or loaned for weeks at a time to predatory priests and businessmen in a sick rape trade.

The men involved in the lawsuit say as boys they were denied being adopted out or sent to foster families because selling them for rape lined the sisters’ coffers for their “convent of horrors.” Some of the boys were then groomed to be sex slaves to perverts, the report claims.

The alleged abuse went on for years, with one of the males claiming the nuns even frequently visited their college dorms after they had left the convent.

He said the nuns often drugged him and delivered him to predators’ apartments. The Order of Sisters of the Divine Redeemer did not answer multiple requests for comment about the allegations.

A second lawsuit, first reported by Deutsche Welle last year, comes after a separate case against the German church led by 63-year-old Karl Haucke who demanded the Archdiocese of Cologne carry out a full investigation into clerical sex crimes, which it concluded in January 2021.

But the details of that investigative report were so horrific that Archbishop Reiner Maria Woelki refused to make it public, demanding that any journalists who see it sign confidentiality agreements.

Eight German journalists walked out of a press conference in January after being denied access to the church’s investigation unless they agreed not to publish its contents.

Haucke says he was abused at least once a week between the ages of 11 and 14, often by more than one priest. “We had no words to describe what was being done to us.

Nor did we know what it meant. And it did not stop at physical pain. We had a clear sense of humiliation and being used,” he told Deutsche Welle when the report was due to be released.

He called the stifling of the report's release in January “scandalous” and said that denying the journalists the right to publish the report was “like being abused all over again.”

Several lawyers with access to the 560-page report on the nuns have shared segments with news outlets, including The Daily Beast.

The report names various German businessmen and complicit clergy who “rented” the young boys from the nuns who ran a convent in Speyer, Germany between the 1960s and 1970s.

Among the worst instances of abuse were gang bangs and orgies the young boys were forced to participate in before being returned to the convent where the nuns would then punish them for wrinkling their clothing or being covered in semen.

“Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesmann, who now leads the archdiocese, said that the abuse report was ‘so gory’ it would be too shocking to make public.”

Haucke, who led a victims' group until he resigned over the censoring of the report, says Woelki told them in October 2020 that the report was not “legally watertight” and contained “inadmissible prejudices” against the Catholic church that were fed by scandals going on elsewhere.

“The survivors were used again,” he said, referring to their cooperation in the report only to have it kept private. “People who have already been damaged in their lives by clergymen are being damaged again to protect the institution.”

The lawsuits also spawned a survey within religious orders that found that 1,412 people who lived in or frequented convents, parishes, and monasteries were abused as children, teenagers, and wards by at least 654 monks, nuns, and other members of the orders.

Around 80 percent of the victims surveyed were male and 20 percent female. The survey also found that 80 percent of the abusers are now dead, and 37 had left the priesthood or religious order.

The Archdiocese of Cologne told The Daily Beast in a statement that the reason the report was not published was that it failed to fully explain the methodology of the research, but Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesmann, who now leads the archdiocese, said that the abuse report was“so gory”it would be too shocking to make public.

Wiesemann told the Catholic News Agency KNA that after reading it he had to take a month's sabbatical to recover. “I too have limited energy for the burdens I have to carry,” he said.
