Dar al-Hijrah to Host Pro-Brotherhood Egyptian Imam

 

The Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Va. will host an imam Monday who is accused of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and terrorist groups.

 

In 2015, Egypt's Minister of Religious Endowments banned Sheikh Mohammad Jebril after Jebril gave a Ramadan prayer asking Allah to "punish those who have shed our blood and orphaned our children." He also prayed that manipulative members of the media and corrupt politicians would be punished. Jebril led Ramadan prayers in Cairo's oldest mosque, the 7th century Amr Bin al-Aas Mosque, since 1988.

 

Religious Endowments Minister Mohammed Mukhtar Jumaa also barred Jebril from leaving Egypt at the time and asked Egypt's television stations to keep him off the air.

 

A subsequent investigation connected some of Jebril's assets to terrorist acts allegedly tied to the Muslim Brotherhood. Other money allegedly supported imprisoned Brotherhood members' families.

 

Dar al-Hijrah promoted Monday's event by describing Jebril as "one of the world's most prominent reciters of the Quran."

 

Dar al-Hijrah has a history of supporting Brotherhood causes. After the Egyptian military ousted President Mohamed Morsi – who led the Muslim Brotherhood's party – in July 2013, mosque members played a central role in creating Egyptian Americans for Democracy and Human Rights (EADHR). The group held rallies in New York, Washington and other U.S. cities demanding Morsi's reinstatement.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A former superior court judge was charged with sex crimes against a child after officers arrested him at a hotel near the Biltmore House.

 

According to police reports, Dan Green was arrested and charged with sex crimes against a child, disseminating obscene material and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, along with providing alcohol to someone under 21, WSOC reported.

 

Green was released from jail after posing a $75,000 bond.

 

A judge told Green on Monday in court that he could face life in prison if convicted.

 

The North Carolina bar named Green "Citizen Lawyer of 2018." Green, who has been practicing law in the Hickory area for nearly 38 years, has also served as a Catawba County superior court judge, president of the Western Symphony and chairman of the Democratic Party of Catawba County.

Riyadh wants nuclear power plants, for generating electricity and for desalination. To access U.S. technology, Riyadh needs to sign a so-called 123 Agreement, which would lay out the parameters for nuclear cooperation. When the United States signed one with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2009, Abu Dhabi pledged not to enrich its own fuel nor to reprocess its spent fuel. (Enriching is the technique that can result in highly enriched uranium, a nuclear explosive. Reprocessing produces plutonium, which also can be used in atomic bombs.)

 

Riyadh declares its nascent nuclear program is entirely for peaceful purposes but wants to retain the right to enrich and reprocess. An additional argument made by individual Saudis is that, if Iran is allowed to enrich under the terms of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear accord — which still exists even though President Trump withdrew the United States last year — why can’t Riyadh?

His subsequent resignation as the company’s chief executive made him one of the most prominent corporate executives to lose their jobs amid the #MeToo movement, which has prompted women to share experiences of sexual abuse and harassment.

 

Wynn, who was the company’s long-time face, has called the accusations “preposterous.” His lawyer had no immediate comment on Tuesday.

 

The 199-page report will form the basis of the proceedings before the five-member commission, which can impose conditions on the Las Vegas-based company’s license or revoke it entirely.

 

The commission is not expected to issue a decision for several weeks. Nevada casino regulators have concluded a related investigation into the company that resulted in Wynn Resorts being fined $20 million in February.

 

In a statement, Wynn Resorts said it cooperated with the Massachusetts inquiry, has taken steps to improve its governance and parted ways with any employee who did not investigate or report allegations against Wynn.

Talking about vaccines, I was in a VA hospital a couple years ago with kidney failure due to good ole prilosec (prilosec will kill you , it makes you sick in a sublime way where you don't realize it's doing it) I actually had a muslim Dr. telling me I wasn't sick, it was all in my head while they were giving me prilosec through an IV and my piss looked like coke. I found out it was prilosec through a commercial for a class action after I was discharged. I had all the symptoms listed except death. Anywho about the vaccines, the nurses, all of them, pushed them HARD at. They acted as if I had personally offended them by not taking their flu shot. They actually tried to put me on a guilt trip because I wouldn't take their flu shot. It was very strange,especially since I was allmost dead. This was in a large VA hospital in a large city. I was as if they personally had something to lose if I didn't take their vaccine. It made me wonder if they get a bonus or if there's an incentive for them to get people to yake it. Don't take prilosec btw, my kidneys are fucked and I'll never be right again because of it.

A XIX century scientist Champfleury wrote: 'Time after time when I explored the old cathedrals in an attempt to uncover the mysterious truth behind their beguiling indecent ornamentation, all of my explanations seemed to me to be a commentary on a book written in some language which was entirely foreign to me… What is one to think, for example, of a strange sculpture placed in a shadow of a column of a subterranean hall in a Mediaeval Cathedral in Bourges?' All such imagery and sculptures are not the mockery of the church, but have the same purely invitational meaning as an image of the jugs of beer spewing froth above the doors of the German beerhouses. In 1998, he wrote in an article for the Chronicle of Higher Education about an event in New York City celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Manifesto. He also participated in the event. "If The Communist Manifesto was meant to liberate the proletariat, the Manifesto itself in recent years needed liberating from Marxism's narrow post-Cold War orthodoxies and exclusive cadres. It has been freed," he wrote. "After a musical interlude, seven people read different portions of the Manifesto. Listening to it read, one could not help but be struck by the poignancy of its prose," he wrote. The readers "had implicitly warned even us faithful to guard against conferring upon it the status of Scripture, a repository of doctrinal verities." “Equity, environmental consciousness, and racial justice are surely some of the ingredients of a healthy Marxism. Indeed, Marxism's greatest appeal — undiminished by the collapse of Communist edifices — is the imbalances produced by other sociopolitical governing structures,” Buttigieg wrote.

 

Paul Kengor, a professor at Grove City College and an expert in communism and progressivism, said Buttigieg was among a group of leftist professors who focused on injecting Marxism into the wider culture. Former Attorney General Eric Holder joined the chorus Democrats calling for the full release of special counsel Robert Mueller's final report, but in the wake of the Starr report he made the opposite argument. Speaking with Ari Mebler on MSNBC last Monday, Holder said, “You look at the letter and you’re trying to figure how much of this is Barr, how much of this is Mueller, how much of this is based on the Mueller findings?… Congress and the public are going to have to get access to the Mueller report.” Yet back in 1999, when he was deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration, Holder's position was starkly different. “Although there is a legitimate concern that the American people have a right to know the outcome of an investigation of their highest officials, the reporting requirement goes directly against most traditions and practices of law enforcement and American ideals," he said after the completion of independent counsel Ken Starr's investigation.

 

At the time, the Justice Department was governed by the independent counsel statute which was supported by many Democrats from the time of the Watergate era up until Starr started investigating former President Bill Clinton. Then-Attorney General Janet Reno's DOJ came out in opposition to the independent counsel statute in 1999 and it lapsed. The Clinton administration replaced it with the current and more restricting special counsel regulations, which Attorney General William Barr cited in his letter to Congress and could explain why the Mueller report that gets made public might not end up showing the same level of detail as the Starr report. Reno would speak in front of the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee on May 14, 1993, urging them to reauthorize the independent counsel statute. “It is my firm conviction that the law has been a good one, helping to restore public confidence in our system's ability to investigate wrongdoing by high-level Executive Branch officials,” she said. The law was reauthorized the next year.

 

But, in 1994, Starr was appointed as independent counsel to investigate the Clinton-related Whitewater scandal, and he would carry out his investigation for four years. In September 1998, it culminated in the release of the Starr report — which was full of salacious details about Clinton's affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky — and ultimately led to the impeachment of Clinton in December 1998. The Starr report was around 445 pages long, while Mueller's report is nearly 400 pages in length according to Barr. By the time of the Starr report, the independent counsel law had fallen out of favor with Clinton’s Justice Department. Reno sent Holder to speak in front of the House Judiciary's Commercial and Administrative Law Subcommittee on March 2, 1999, where he revealed that the DOJ was officially opposing the reauthorization of the law.

 

Holder testified that a major flaw with the independent counsel law was its reporting requirements, which allowed non-criminal but potentially politically damaging information to be made public. “A final problem … is the Act's requirement that a final report be prepared by the Independent Counsel," he said. “It is contrary to our concept of a presumption of innocence, our placing of high value on rights of privacy, and our Departmental tradition that we reveal offenses in the courtroom during a criminal trial, not by filing a document that is never filed when we decline to prosecute ordinary criminal cases and that may reveal information that subjects an individual to public embarrassment," he said. “But worst of all … the reporting requirement provides an incentive for Independent Counsel to over-investigate every detail in order to avoid criticism that their final reports missed something." Twenty years later, Holder is striking a different tone.

Firms Tied To Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele Were Paid $3.8 Million By Soros-Backed Group

 

The Democracy Integrity Project, a nonprofit that receives funding from George Soros, paid firms tied to Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele more than $3.8 million in 2017.

Tax filings show that The Democracy Integrity Project provided its research to “government entities.”

The group’s founder, a former staffer for Dianne Feinstein, has described it as a “shadow media organization” that helps the government.

 

A nonprofit group partially funded by billionaire activist George Soros paid firms tied to Fusion GPS and dossier author Christopher Steele more than $3.8 million in 2017 to provide research and analysis to “government entities,” according to IRS filings.

 

The payments made by The Democracy Integrity Project are more than three times what the DNC and the Clinton campaign paid Fusion GPS and Steele during the 2016 presidential campaign to investigate Donald Trump’s possible ties to Russia.

 

Perkins Coie, the law firm that represented the DNC and Clinton campaign, paid $1 million to Fusion GPS in 2016 to investigate Trump. Fusion GPS in turn paid Steele, a former MI6 officer, nearly $170,000 for a project that resulted in the infamous Steele dossier.

 

Steele’s report, which alleged a “well-coordinated conspiracy” between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, has come under intense scrutiny in the wake of the special counsel’s findings in the 22-month Russia probe.

 

Daniel J. Jones, a former staffer to California Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein, founded TDIP on Jan. 31, 2017, seemingly to resume Democrats’ investigation of Trump’s possible links to Russia.

 

Jones operated what he called a “shadow media organization helping the government” to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election. He also told the FBI in March 2017 that he received funding from a group of between seven and 10 wealthy donors and that he planned to provide information to federal investigators, the press and lawmakers.

 

TDIP’s tax filing confirms some aspects of what has been reported about the group.

 

The group planned to work with a “network of experienced organizations and individuals” to gather information on foreign actors’ efforts to interfere in democratic elections around the world,” according to TDIP’s 2017 form 990, which is listed in a database maintained by ProPublica,

 

TDIP also says it provides “original, credible, and fact-based information” to a variety of organizations, including “government entities.”

 

The 990 form lists five separate independent contractors, including four that provided “research consulting,” and one law firm, Zuckerman Spaeder.

 

The group paid $3.3 million to Bean LLC., the holding company that controls Fusion GPS. Another $250,000 was paid to Walsingham Partners Ltd., a London-based firm owned by Steele and his partner, Christopher Burrows.

 

TDIP paid another London-based intelligence firm called Istok Associates Ltd. nearly $150,000, also for “research consulting.” The company has released investigative reports looking into whether Russia helped fund the Brexit campaign.

 

Nearly $130,000 was paid to Edward Austin Ltd., a London-based intelligence consultancy operated by Edward Baumgartner, a Fusion GPS contractor. Another $148,000 was paid to the law firm Zuckerman Spaeder, which has represented Fusion GPS in a variety of dossier-related legal matters.

 

The full extent of TDIP’s work remains a mystery, as do the identities of most of the organization’s donors.

 

Real Clear Investigations reported on March 20 that TDIP sends out daily newsletters with a roundup of news stories about the special counsel’s investigation and other Trump-related matters.

Hungary slams global liberal fake news producers

Costco Drops Roundup Weedkiller After $80 Million Awarded In Second Cancer Case: Report

 

Costco has reportedly decided to stop selling Roundup weedkiller after a federal jury in San Francisco awarded more than $80 million to 70-year-old California man, Edwin Hardeman, who was diagnosed with cancer after spraying the herbicide on his property for decades.

 

According to the founder of Moms Across America, Zen Honeycutt, Costco will no longer carry Roundup or other glyphosate-based herbicides in their spring shipments.

 

Moms Across America founder Zen Honeycutt, whose petition calling for Costco to stop selling Roundup has more than 150,000 signatures on Change.org, wrote on her website:

 

"I called the headquarters, and after two days of messages and calls, I did finally confirm with three people that Costco was not ordering Roundup or any glyphosate-based herbicides for the incoming spring shipments."

 

Costco has yet to issue an official statement on the petition. However, in conversations with the administrative staff at various stores, Big Think has learned that the product was pulled off the floor this week per corporate orders — meaning, Costco's removal of Roundup applies to "all locations." -Big Think

 

Honeycutt's group is now petitioning Home Depot and Lowe's to pull Roundup from their shelves as well.

What we know:

 

The handset does not need a sim installed for Google to collect data.

The handset does not need wifi conectivity to collect data either.

Data is collected even with airplane mode on.

All offline data collected is sent to Google once a connection is established if Google has been granted permission to do so.

 

Here's how to stop allowing satan into your device.

 

Exit all of your apps and reboot the phone. Once the phone is to the home screen:

 

Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → see all apps → Google app info page.

Stop the Google app process.

Clear app cache

Clear app data

Go to app permissions.

Turn off all permissions listed in the google.app permissions section.

Disable Google app.

 

Reboot the phone. Google Assistant is disabled and has no permissions to collect your data. Once the phone is to the home screen:

 

Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → see all apps → Google Play services info page→ Permissions

Turn off all permissions to google play services.

Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → see all apps → Action Services info page → Notifications

Turn off google play service availability notifications.

 

Reboot the phone again. Google Play Services no longer has permissions to collect your data. Be advised that apps that make use of Google Play services may no longer function correctly, either.

Research in the wild has shown that just disabling these apps is not enough; The preloaded apps cannot be uninstalled, being part of the ROM software. Being "disabled" just means that the icons have been hidden from the user in the interface; They are still useable by the system. Permissions matter; It's literally comparable to allowing satan into your house.

None of that matters, because this becomes a legal problem. Blame Google for installing their search app and store services as the default provider. There are some options available, and instructions on how to change the default provider apps also exist on the internet. So there's options out there if you truly need that feature and do not want Google scraping your data.

 

Anyway

 

The example is for google.app specifically, but it will also work with other pre-loaded bloatware, like facebook.app and twitter.app. Apple and Microsoft are no better. Same idea applies to those: Deny permissions first, and then disable the apps and reboot. Be aware that any app that you use that uses google play services also has the potential to transmit your data to Google, ''even if the google app itself is turned off'', because the store apps each have their own permissions sets, too.

 

ps- If you're thinking of buying a new phone, DO NOT SET UP THE HANDSET WITH A GOOGLE ACCOUNT ON FIRST RUN. Doing this grants Google full access to everything on the phone by default, because it brands that user ID into the phone, until it is wiped and factory reset.

 

If you did make this mistake, fully wipe and reset the phone, and set it up without any account on first run, and set up email after. This prevents branding the phone to a user ID, and also forces the handset to ask for permission to data that would normally default to a new google user (ie- a gmail account.)

Ford on Tuesday publicly unveiled details of the latest version of its Escape SUV, heavily emphasizing comfort features including a moving rear seat to provide more leg room.
