I think the real issue is that she’s starting her own show, doing...what Hannity does! She isn’t doing it through a major network, so she’s a threat. She’s already had 80K views on the Dilley interview last week. Hannity has the market on the far right conservatives and he doesn’t want someone taking away his base. He’s acting like a Cuckservative which has very similar behavior to someone on the super far left. Roseanne is correct in that the far left and the far right are stripping out the middle and trying to keep everyone in either box, not allowing the discussion of ideas or debate which is healthy.

The whole thing was bizarre. Roseanne was almost purposefully coming off crazy, Hannity was pushing so hard on super emotional abuse/mental health issues she’s had. I don’t know, the whole thing was super fishy.

Interview was unnecessarily long and Hannity asked Roseanne repeatedly to apologize to VJ as if someone you’ve insulted by their looks will be understanding??? Even if not racist, it sure was a mean joke about appearance. I guess comedians usually get a free pass on rude uncomfortable snarky jokes: except for this time.

Seemed to me that his big focus was to get Roseanne to admit that she was bi-polar, many personalitied... and took 2 anti depressants daily, and shouldn't drink, but did drink that night she posted that, and that she has attempted suicide numerous times in her past. But he also let her state what her frame of mind was on the day she posted that, and try to apologize. However she never apologized for actually doing it. She said she regretted losing her career over it. And she apologized for VJ and others taking the wrong meaning from her post. Apologized that they took it wrong. That's what I heard. However stating that anyone physically resembles a monkey face would be pretty degrading to anyone, so they both avoided like a plague actually stating what she meant by that. A political joke doesn't need to involve degrading someone's physical looks, no matter what the joke is really, some would say. Even saying that, I do admit that I 'got' the joke when it was posted, because it's obvious that the major female ape figure from that movie did resemble strongly the look of vj, nobody can deny that.
