There is quite a lot of overlap for the material that appears on the 'OfficialMcAfee' Telegram site and the Ingersoll Lockwood website. The Telegram account also mentions Hillary and Huma's video that 'rhymes with razzle and ends in drip'. My guess is that this vid will be released via the Lockwood website at some point this year. There's a timer on the Lockwood site that hints it's related to McAfee. He fits the birthday mentioned. The timer on the Lockwood site doesn't appear to be counting down properly, though - exact same sort of timer (fixed) is on the Telegram account. Additionally, there was a post I saw yesterday on the McAfee Telegram account that is gone today. It said something to the effect that he gave something to Ingersoll Lockwood to release and that it wasn't the 31TB of data he has. Also, the telegram is (obviously) asserting that McAfee is still alive, just like some of us think that Epstein is still alive. Anyhow, believe it or don't, doesn't matter to me one bit.

Rep. McCaul on House GOP's bombshell Wuhan lab report: 'Greatest cover-up in human history'

 

COVID-19 may have been circulating in Wuhan as early as September, according to report

 

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, shared new findings from the House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans' probe into the possible origins of COVID-19 on Monday and accused the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of engaging in the "greatest cover-up in human history."

 

The committee's ranking Republican, during an appearance on "America’s Newsroom," laid out a number of key points from the report and asserted that the CCP is likely "very concerned" by its findings.

 

"They were playing with fire," said McCaul. "They were genetically manipulating at the lab this gain-of-function that was taking place."

 

Many of the key points from the report focused on activities in and around Wuhan that appeared to indicate the virus may have been circulating in China as early as September, well before the WHOs Country Office in the People’s Republic of China picked up a press statement on December 31, 2019, by the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission from their website on cases of "viral pneumonia" in Wuhan.

 

In September, the Wuhan lab’s genetic sequencing database was taken offline in the middle of the night, which according to McCaul, shows that they were trying to "hide" or "cover-up" something of significant concern.

 

Satellite imagery from around the same time purportedly shows increased activity at the hospitals near the Wuhan lab, says McCaul.

 

Months ahead of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Wuhan National Biosafety Lab requested bids for major renovations to air safety and waste treatment systems in research facilities that had been operational for less than two years, according to the report on the pandemic’s origins, obtained by Fox News.

 

In addition, McCaul referenced the October 2019 World Military Games, where he said 9,000 people entered the country. According to the Foreign Affairs Committee data, some returned to their home countries with flu-like symptoms.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Asks Private Businesses to Start Vaccine Only Admission

During a press conference today to push vaccines as the primary mitigation effort against COVID-19 β€˜delta variant’ [full video here], New York Governor Andrew Cuomo told private businesses to start a vaccine-only admission practice.

 

Cuomo said he thinks implementing β€œvaccine-only admission” will help incentivize New Yorkers to get inoculated. β€œIf you say to people, β€˜Well, if you don’t have a vaccine, you can’t get into these establishments,’ then you will see a real incentive to get vaccinated,” he said.

 

The attitude displayed in this brief soundbite is exactly the reason why many people in the land of freedom have a horrible opinion of New Yorkers in general. The self-centered arrogance and condescending tone on display is ugly to many people, myself included. This attitude is why people don’t want New Yorker’s moving to their area.

 

My vaccination status is none of your business. If you want to live in fear then stay home. Your paranoia is not my concern.

Israeli scientist says COVID-19 could be treated for under $1/day

 

Double-blind study shows ivermectin reduces disease’s duration and infectiousness β€’ FDA and WHO caution against its use

 

Ivermectin, a drug used to fight parasites in third-world countries, could help reduce the length of infection for people who contract coronavirus for less than a $1 a day, according to recent research by Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

Prof. Eli Schwartz, founder of the Center for Travel Medicine and Tropical Disease at Sheba, conducted a randomized, controlled, double-blinded trial from May 15, 2020, through the end of January 2021 to evaluate the effectiveness of ivermectin in reducing viral shedding among nonhospitalized patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.

Ivermectin has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration since 1987. The drug’s discoverers were awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in medicine for its treatment of onchocerciasis, a disease caused by infection with a parasitic roundworm.

Over the years, it has been used for other indications, including scabies and head lice. Moreover, in the last decade, several clinical studies have started to show its antiviral activity against viruses ranging from HIV and the flu to Zika and West Nile.

The drug is also extremely economical. A study published in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Therapeutics showed that the cost of ivermectin for other treatments in Bangladesh is around $0.60 to $1.80 for a five-day course. It costs up to $10 a day in Israel, Schwartz said.

In Schwartz’s study, some 89 eligible volunteers over the age of 18 who were diagnosed with coronavirus and staying in state-run COVID-19 hotels were divided into two groups: 50% received ivermectin, and 50% received a placebo, according to their weight. They were given the pills for three days in a row, an hour before a meal.

The volunteers were tested using a standard nasopharyngeal swab PCR test with the goal of evaluating whether there was a reduction in viral load by the sixth day – the third day after termination of the treatment. They were swabbed every two days.

Nearly 72% of volunteers treated with ivermectin tested negative for the virus by day six. In contrast, only 50% of those who received the placebo tested negative.

IN ADDITION, the study looked at culture viability, meaning how infectious the patients were, and found that only 13% of ivermectin patients were infectious after six days, compared with 50% of the placebo group – almost four times as many.

β€œOur study shows first and foremost that ivermectin has antiviral activity,” Schwartz said. β€œIt also shows that there is almost a 100% chance that a person will be noninfectious in four to six days, which could lead to shortening isolation time for these people. This could have a huge economic and social impact.”

The study appeared on the MedRxiv health-research sharing site. It has not yet been peer reviewed.

Schwartz said other similar studies – though not all of them conducted to the same double-blind and placebo standards as his – also showed a favorable impact of ivermectin treatment.

Warren Tells Teenagers That Abortion Is Essential For β€˜Functioning Of Our Democracy’

 

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said that abortion is essential for the β€œfunctioning of our democracy.”

 

In an interview with Teen Vogue β€” an outlet marketed as β€œthe young person’s guide to conquering (and saving) the world” β€” Warren argued that opposing election reform bills and killing preborn children are intertwined.

 

β€œDo you feel like voting rights and abortion rights are really the key issues to making sure that the freedoms of voters and people in this country are protected?” asked Teen Vogue.

 

β€œBoth voting and access to abortion are basic. They’re about the functioning of our democracy and about the protection of personal autonomy,” Warren replied. β€œProtection of the vote means your voice gets heard in government. Protection of access to basic health care means your autonomy as a human being is fully respected by the law. That you will make the decisions about yourself.”

 

β€œTo me, that’s part of the heart of what all of this is about. This is where the two big fights are shaping up right now,” she continued. β€œAnd each intersects with the other. Both from the perspective of respect for the individual, and also from a political point of view. The right-wing extremists know that if they can keep people from voting, they’ve got a better chance to impose their views about abortion on an unwilling nation.”

 

Warren justified her argument by pointing to a 2018 poll showing that 71% of Americans support the Supreme Court’s opinion in Roe v. Wade β€” the 1973 case in which the Court claimed that abortion is protected under the Fourteenth Amendment.

 

β€œIt is a small but intensely focused group of people who want to impose their will on the majority of this nation,” she added. β€œThis is a Republican Party that now openly admits that their only chance to hang on to power is to keep a substantial number of American citizens from voting. And why is that so? Because what they want to do is not popular with Democrats or Republicans.”

 

Warren has a long history of vocally promoting abortion. At President Trump’s 2017 inauguration, for example, she wore a pink scarf to signal support of Planned Parenthood β€” an organization that carried out over 354,000 abortions last year.

 

Warren’s comments emerge as several anti-abortion groups file amicus briefs β€” documents that tell the Supreme Court about matters not yet brought to its attention β€” encouraging the overturning of Roe v. Wade through the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which deals with a Mississippi statute that bans abortion after a baby reaches fifteen weeks’ gestation.

Cherished brother of Victoria Hashida, Giovanna Castro, Gunther Paul Hashida, Jr., and Joshua Hashida. Adored maternal grandson of Gregoria Guevara and the late Jose Amor Rosa, paternal grandson of the late Gunther George Kleineidam and the late Hideko Hashida. Loving nephew of Wilfredo Guevara (Magy), Jose A. Guevara, Jorge Diaz (Renae), Felipa Diaz, Barbara Avila (Isiah), Patrick Kleineidam (Lauren), and the late George Kleineidam.

 

Alexander was a student at West Lake High School in Eagle Mountain, Utah, and was a former student at Forest Park High School. He enjoyed working out and keeping in shape by weight lifting and boxing. The outdoors was also a favorite, as he liked to crew and long boarding. During quiet times, he loved to draw, fix and build things, do experiments, play the guitar and the saxophone. Like most teenagers, video games were also a big part of his life.

 

The family will receive friends at the Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193 on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1 PM until the time of his Life Celebration at 3 PM.

Moreover, Israel used Russia’s military intervention in Syria to reach military and political understanding with Moscow, knowing full well that Russia will play an influential role in the region only if it can find a balance between the interests of its allies on the one hand and Israel as a regional power on the other.

 

However, it is no secret that Israel has recently gone too far in pursuing its interests in Syria, which has led the Russian side to regard Tel Aviv’s behavior there as irresponsible. Let’s recall the beginning of the year when the Israeli side launched several missile strikes against Syria, including against an Iranian military facility near a Russian military outpost, causing some damage to Russia. At the same time, the coordination introduced earlier between Israeli and Russian forces did not work efficiently: Tel Aviv informed Moscow of the strike only minutes before it struck, which prevented Moscow from withdrawing its forces from the area, thus endangering them.

 

According to many experts, Israel has made a step too far too far in defending its interests in Syria, which has sharpened Moscow’s attitude against such actions. Eventually, Russia got fed up with this, and in the last raid, the Israeli missiles were met by Russian-made anti-aircraft systems, shooting down seven of the eight missiles.

 

For example, last week, Israel carried out three airstrikes in central and northern Syria – all three relatively close to Russian military forces. On July 22, however, the Israeli Air Force failed in its latest airstrike attempt against Syria, launching an attack against what it percieved as an Iran base in Al-Qusayr in Homs Governorate. The F-16s made run over the target from Lebanon (northeast of Beirut) and fired Delilah cruise missiles and SPIKE-1000 guided bombs produced by Israel’s Rafael. But this time, the Syrian air defense squads with the Russian Buk SAMs entered the fray. They succeeded in completely repelling the attack of the Israeli aggressor and successfully intercepted the best bombs and missiles Israel could produce.

 

Note that this is Israel’s second failure in the last week: On July 20, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked As-Safir in the Aleppo Governorate, and Russian air defense systems destroyed the missiles.

Judicial Watch announced that it had received 2,469 pages of new documents from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), revealing that Facebook worked closely with the CDC to control the COVID narrative and β€œmisinformation” and that social media companies gave the CDC over $3.5 million in free advertising.

These latest documents were obtained as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation (Judicial Watch v. United States Department of Health and Human Services (No. 1:21-cv-00625)).

 

COVID-19-related content on Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube may be the subject of any communication between CDC officials and/or employees and the employees, agents, or representatives of the companies. COVID-19 disinformation advice and instructions are examples of such records.

 

A Facebook official presents the β€œFB coronavirus narrative” to the CDC in an email conversation beginning January 26, 2020, with the subject β€œData for Good | CDC intros.”

 

This email exchange allegedly demonstrates the CDC and Facebook’s growing message cooperation.

 

Over $3.5 million in free advertising was granted to the CDC on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

 

A Facebook official gave the CDC ad credits totaling $2 million, according to an email dated March 8, 2020, to boost β€œmessage related to coronavirus.”

 

Sherri Berger, then-CDC Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer sent an email to Facebook on March 14, 2020, thanking them for the $2 million; this was what she had to say.

 

β€œOn behalf of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and by the authority delegated to me through Section 231 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. Section 238), as amended, thank you for Facebook’s non-monetary gift of advertising credited with an estimated value of $2,000,000. The gift will be used by CDC’s COVID-19 response to support dissemination of critical public health messaging. Thank you!”

CBP Expands Simplified Arrival at Kansas City International Airport

 

Simplified Arrival is an enhanced international arrival process that uses facial biometrics to automate the manual document checks that are already required for admission into the United States. Facial biometrics provide travelers with a touchless process that further secures and streamlines international arrivals while fulfilling a longstanding congressional mandate to biometrically record the entry and exit of non-U.S. citizens.

 

"CBP is excited to partner with the Kansas City Aviation Department to expand the use of facial biometrics for international arrivals at KCI," said LaFonda Sutton-Burke, Director, Field Operations – Chicago Field Office. "This enhanced process is secure, touchless and supports the travel recovery efforts, while protecting the privacy of travelers."

 

Simplified Arrival only uses the biometric facial comparison process at a time and place where travelers are already required by law to verify their identity by presenting a travel document. When travelers arrive at KCI on an international flight, they will pause for a photo at the primary inspection point. CBP’s biometric facial comparison process will compare the new photo of the traveler to a small gallery of high-quality images that the traveler has already provided to the government, such as passport and visa photos. In addition, foreign travelers who have traveled to the U.S. previously may no longer need to provide fingerprints as their identity will be confirmed through the touchless facial comparison process.

 

β€œCBP shares our commitment to customer service and is a great partner,” said Kansas City Director of Aviation Pat Klein. β€œTheir technology continues to make arrival in Kansas City as fast and easy as possible, while giving travelers options. Simplified Arrival is quick and touchless with the CBP officer doing the work, and Mobile Passport Control still exists for travelers who wish to be more hands on.”

 

Simplified Arrival pairs one of the industry’s highest ranked facial comparison algorithms (as assessed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology) with trained CBP officers who are skilled at verifying the authenticity of travel documents. If a traveler cannot be matched to a photo on record using the Simplified Arrival process, the traveler will proceed through the traditional inspection process consistent with existing requirements for entry into the United States.

 

Travelers who wish to opt out of the new biometric process may notify a CBP officer as they approach the primary inspection point. These travelers will be required to present a valid travel document for inspection by a CBP officer and they will be processed consistent with existing requirements for admission into the United States.

 

CBP is committed to its privacy obligations and has taken steps to safeguard the privacy of all travelers. CBP has employed strong technical security safeguards and has limited the amount of personally identifiable information used in the facial biometric process. New photos of U.S. citizens will be deleted within 12 hours. Photos of most foreign nationals will be stored in a secure Department of Homeland Security system.

 

CBP and its air travel partners are expanding the use of facial biometrics through public-private partnerships to not only fulfill the Congressional security mandate, but also to further secure and enhance touchless travel wherever identity verification is required for international travel.

 

To date, more than 86 million travelers have participated in the biometric facial comparison process at air, land and sea ports of entry. Since September 2018, CBP has leveraged facial biometrics to prevent nearly 850 imposters from illegally entering the United States by using genuine travel documents that were issued to other people.

hmmm, that's a new one for me that I'll have to dig up and confirm. First of all, Low density lipoprotein (LDL) wasn't known in 1920 when vitamin D was discovered, so I find it hard to phantom that LDL plays any critical role in Vitamin D3's activity.

 

My understanding is that vitamin D3, like all other sterol hormones, begins with cholesterol sulfate in the skin. Sunlight, prolly at 312nm UVB, converts it to 7-OH cholesterol sulfate and then it travels to other parts of the body where its eventually its converted to its most active form as Vitamin D3. However, when produced by the body, VitD3 is always sulfated until the very last step. The sulfated salt binds to protein in red blood cells which act as a storage site for a variety of sulfated sterols, including DHEA sulfate. Then, when needed by specific cells, the sulfate is cleaved off by enzymes and the hormone is activated intracellularly. This is why naturally produced vitamin D3 sulfate is always preferable to oral supplements of Vitamin d3 because without the sulfate, much of it is simply stored in our fat with no way to get to where it needs to go without the sulfate attached or it has to rely on LDL or HDL.

 

BTW, all major sex steroids start as cholesterol sulfate as well as Q10, which takes 16 steps. Some research suggests that some statin drugs can deplete Q10 muscle stores up to 50% after the first month of statin therapy. But, what about statins effects on testosterone and estrogen levels if cholesterol synthesis is shut down in the liver? Statins do have some therapeutic benefits (anti-inflammatory?) independent of its reduced cholesterol synthesis, which prolly explains some if its short term weak reduction in heart attack risk (1 in 100 people treated). For example, one interesting effect of statins is that they increase circulating vitamin D3 levels. How? No one really knows but prolly by freeing up orally received vitamin D3 trapped in fat. After all, the body, the brain especially needs cholesterol, to function properly. Thus, if the liver isn't making it because of statins, the body goes looking for cholesterol in our fat stores.

 

As always, do your own research because what I just wrote was from memory based on my review of the literature 10 years ago. However, here is a recent review paper, which covers 25OHD3-3-sulfate and 25OHD3-3-glucuronide in the enterohepatic circulation. The 3-glucuronide conjugate in the mammalian system is new to me, but it shouldn't be because I recall that some weeds actually synthesize 25OHD3-3-glucuronide. We discovered these forms when cows grazing too much on certain weeds developed hypercalciumea (sp?).

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday urged private businesses to institute β€œvaccine-only” admission in order to incentivize getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

β€œPrivate businesses, bars, restaurants: go to a vaccine-only admission. … I believe it’s in your business interest to run a vaccine-only establishment,” he added, without elaborating.

 

The governor then suggested those businesses use New York state’s β€œExcelsior” app that essentially serves as a vaccine passport system.

 

β€œWe have passes. They’re on apps, they’re on phones, it’s very simple. You can operate a restaurant, just say, β€˜You have to show you’re vaccinated when you walk in the door.’ It’s going to help your business, not hurt it,” Cuomo said.

 

Some businesses in New York Cityβ€”including Broadway shows, Carnegie Hall, and a higher-end restaurant groupβ€”announced they would mandate customers to show whether they’re vaccinated against COVID-19. The founder of Shake Shack, Danny Meyer, told media outlets last week that his Union Square Hospitality Group will require indoor drinkers and diners to show they’ve been vaccinated.

 

β€œWe did thisβ€”Radio City Music Hallβ€”months ago. Reopened, vaccine only. Sold out all the shows. Sports arenas, they went up to about 90 percent vaccine only,” Cuomo added.

 

It’s not clear if Cuomo was suggesting that supermarkets or stores that sell food and other essential items should require people to require β€œvaccine-only” admission in the state. The Epoch Times has contacted Cuomo’s office for additional comment.

 

Also on Monday, Cuomo suggested that nursing home workers around the state may have to get the vaccine. Cuomo earlier this year received criticism over how his administration handled the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in nursing homes, prompting New York Attorney General Letitia James to open an investigation.

 

β€œIf the numbers don’t come down, I think you have to consider mandatory vaccines for nursing home workers,” the governor said. β€œThe nursing homes are [a] high-risk population.”

 

State agencies overseeing New York’s bridges, seaports, and trains will force their workers to the vaccine or tested weekly starting next month, he said. Last week, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered all city workers including the NYPD to get vaccinated or face regular COVID-19 testing.

 

The comments from Cuomo mark the latest attempt by government leaders to spur reluctant Americans to get vaccinated amid the spread of the so-called Delta variant.

 

Vaccine passport-like systems have been flagged by civil liberties groups including the ACLU and Republican officials as being draconian and that they would create a two-tiered society of unvaccinated and vaccinated people.

 

The comments from Cuomo are sure to draw pushback from unions that represent state employees. The head of the union representing New York State Police officers said he was taken aback by the governor’s remarks on Monday, saying the organization is weighing its legal options.

 

β€œWe’re still waiting to see what his plan is [and] we’re still reviewing our legal options,” Thomas Mungeer, the head of the state troopers’ Police Benevolent Association, told Newsmax.

 

β€œSome of them don’t want to get it for whatever reason, whether it’s personal, religious, you know,” said Mungeer. β€œIt β€˜s something that the individual should be able to decide, not the government.”

Like the stupid people (of whom I know many) who are told by the doctor that they have cancer and must have a particular organ removed. They have it removed (thyroid, uterus, lung whatever)and then they say oh there wasn't any cancer after all. Alexander Amor Hashida, age 16, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away in Utah. Beloved son of Vicenta Paula Castro (Giovanni) andGunther Paul Hashida (Romelia). Cherished brother of Victoria Hashida, Giovanna Castro, Gunther Paul Hashida, Jr., and Joshua Hashida. Adored maternal grandson of Gregoria Guevara and the late Jose Amor Rosa, paternal grandson of the late Gunther George Kleineidam and the late Hideko Hashida. Loving nephew of Wilfredo Guevara (Magy), Jose A. Guevara, Jorge Diaz (Renae), Felipa Diaz, Barbara Avila (Isiah), Patrick Kleineidam (Lauren), and the late George Kleineidam.

 

Alexander was a student at West Lake High School in Eagle Mountain, Utah, and was a former student at Forest Park High School. He enjoyed working out and keeping in shape by weight lifting and boxing. The outdoors was also a favorite, as he liked to crew and long boarding. During quiet times, he loved to draw, fix and build things, do experiments, play the guitar and the saxophone. Like most teenagers, video games were also a big part of his life.

 

The family will receive friends at the Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, VA 22193 on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1 PM until the time of his Life Celebration at 3 PM.

 

In honor of Alexander, the family request that everyone wear purple on the day of the service.

Iowa Agrees To Pay $5K To 4 Protesters Banned From Capitol

The American Civil Liberties Union of Iowa filed a lawsuit, saying the ban blocks the individuals’ fundamental constitutional rights of free speech, assembly, right to petition their government, their fundamental freedom of movement and due process.

 

The attorney general’s office believes this is a fair settlement for the state, Assistant State Attorney General Anne Updegraff told board members.

 

The State Appeal Board, which has responsibility under Iowa law to consider legal claims against the state, includes Iowa Department of Management Director Michael Bousselot, Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald and Auditor Rob Sand.

 

All voted to approve the settlement agreement.

Officials believe a body discovered last week in the foothills of Lake Mountain belongs to a 15-year-old Eagle Mountain boy missing since December.

 

While investigators are still working to identify the body, Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said they found items nearby that belonged to Alexander Hashida.

 

Hashida was reported missing after he left his City Center home for school at about 7 a.m. on Dec. 22. According to reports, family members and investigators believed that he never got on the school bus that morning. When Hashida was reported missing, the Sheriff’s Office indicated he left a note saying he was going to walk where the land took him.

 

Police, family and friends did several searches at the time but nothing was found, Cannon said.

 

On Thursday afternoon, a woman reported finding a body deep in the foothills east of City Center. Cannon said the location was remote, on the Cedar Valley side of Lake Mountain about a half mile above the water tanks.

 

The discovery was first reported Sunday by KSTU Fox 13.

 

Due to the condition of the body, Cannon said they couldn’t immediately confirm his identity, but identification would likely be made in the next few days.

 

It appeared the person died by self-inflicted means, according to Cannon. He said there didn’t appear to be anything suspicious about the death.

 

Prior to his disappearance, Hashida reportedly had some mental health issues and had expressed some intent to harm himself, according to Cannon.

 

Cannon said investigators have spoken with Hashida’s family about last week’s discovery. Although not certain, he said both the family and investigators believe that Hashida has been found.

 

Cannon reflected that Hashida’s family has been grappling with his disappearance since December.

 

β€œIt’s an incredibly difficult thing for families to endure,” he said.

Not all missing person reports end in a situation were the missing person is reunited with relatives. One of the 12 2016 missing person cases started on Dec 22, 2016 when Alexander Hashida was reported missing by his parents. Alexander left for school in the morning, but did not arrive at school. The family found a note where Alexander said he was going to simply walk where the land took him. The community rallied together and organized a search for Alexander. The searches extended into the month of January as well. On May 25, 2017 the Utah County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call that a hiker had discovered human remains. The Utah County Sheriffs Office website states, β€œOn May 25, 2017 the Utah County Sheriff’s Office responded to the foot hills east of the Eagle Mountain City Center regarding a dead body that had been discovered by a hiker. Deputies arrived and located the body, which appeared to have been there for some time. During the investigation, the body was positively identified as 15 year old Alexander Hashida by the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner on May, 31 2017. Based on information gathered at the time of Alexander’s disappearance and evidence gathered at the scene the death is not appear suspicious.”

Twitter has signed a deal with The Associated Press and Reuters to help elevate accurate information on its platform.

 

Twitter said Monday that the program will expand its existing work to help explain why certain subjects are trending on the site. The program will also help show information and news from trusted resources and help debunk misinformation.

 

Rather than waiting until something goes viral, Twitter will contextualize developing discourse at pace with or in anticipation of the public conversation," Twitter said.

Twitter said the news agencies will help ensure that credible information is available in real-time around key conversations as they come up. That will be especially important where "facts are in dispute" or when the company's own curation team doesn't have the necessary expertise or access to enough reputable reporting on the subject, Twitter said.
