France: Far-Left Antifa Extremists Possible Suspects in Mass Sabotage of Internet Infrastructure

 

An act of deliberate sabotage that knocked out the internet for 50,000 people this week in the Ile-de-France region may be connected to a series of vandalism acts believed to be linked to far-left Antifa extremists.

 

According to investigations conducted by the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ) of Val-de-Marne, the incident which led to customers becoming disconnected from the internet in the region was deliberate.

 

A police source close to the investigation told Le Parisien that the damage could cost as much as an estimated one million euros. While an unnamed internet company head told the newspaper the scale of the sabotage was “unheard of in 20 years”.

 

The sabotage involved the cutting of telephone and communications cables and is just the latest act of sabotage across France in the last month.

 

A leaked note from the Central Territorial Intelligence Service (SCRT) claimed that there had been as many as 20 acts of sabotage in recent weeks, all of them targetting communications infrastructure.

 

“These individuals have forced open the street signs that protect underground fibre optic networks. They then cut the big cables and took the time to cut everything into smaller pieces to delay repairs that could take weeks,” a source told Le Parisien.

 

Orange, the internet and mobile network most affected by the sabotage, confirmed four separate areas where acts of sabotage occurred. While an industry expert told the newspaper at least 20 sites were sabotaged, stating that many of the locations are confidential.

A bipartisan slate of lawmakers is calling on President Trump to issue an executive order requiring that the government purchase only medical equipment and pharmaceuticals made in the United States.

 

The small group sent a letter to the White House on Thursday outlining why the lawmakers believe an executive order targeting China would be a good move by the administration. The letter, spearheaded by Republican Rep. Vicky Hartzler of Missouri and Democratic Rep. John Garamendi of California, was co-signed by seven other Republican members of Congress.

 

“The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed a serious vulnerability for both national security and public health,” the letter reads. “There is bipartisan support in Congress for ending our nation’s reliance on China for pharmaceuticals and their ingredients.”

 

“China is the principal developer of active pharmaceutical ingredients [APIs] for generic prescription drugs, which account for approximately 90 percent of pharmaceuticals used in the United States. Right now, China has the ability to attack the United States without firing a single shot by poisoning our nation’s medicines or cutting off access to the supply,” it adds.

 

Hartzler described just how many drugs are produced by China during a phone interview with Washington Examiner.

 

“America quit making aspirin in 2002. We quit making penicillin in 2004, and Chinese pharmaceutical companies now supply over 90% of the antibiotics in the United States, the vitamin C, ibuprofen — they provide 70% of acetaminophen and 40%-45% of the heparin that our country receives. And it just does not make sense to have our military contingent on China, who, through the national defense strategy, we have identified as our primary strategic adversary," she said.

 

Earlier this week, Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro said in an interview that the White House would soon issue an order to address the issue, although the timing remains unclear. Navarro said the order would mandate that the federal government only purchase medical products made in the U.S. The Washington Examiner has reached out to the White House for further comment.

 

Navarro also said the coronavirus health crisis has laid bare how the U.S. relies on China for its medical products. Hartzler said she agrees.

 

“The coronavirus has further shown a light on the vulnerabilities not just for the military but for the entire country,” she said.

 

Hartzler, who sits with Garamendi on the House Armed Services Committee, said she has seen an upsurge of support for moving pharmaceutical production back to the U.S. given the pandemic.

 

“We have hearings on a regular basis, many of them classified, where we have been looking at what China is doing and the real threat they pose to our nation,” she said. “People are aware of this and calling [for] action to make us safer in the nation.”

 

The idea has received blowback from the pharmaceutical industry. A spokeswoman for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America told the Washington Examiner that it is "misleading to suggest biopharmaceutical manufacturers are reliant on any one country for any aspect of the manufacturing process."

WHO: Under-4s Should Learn About ‘Early Childhood Masturbation’, ‘Explore Gender Identities’

 

The Christian Institute has slammed World Health Organization (WHO) sexuality education guidance recommending that children under four should receive information about masturbation and their “right to explore gender identities”.

 

The WHO Regional Office for Europe and Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) document, titled ‘Standards for Sexuality Education in Europe’, contains a “Sexuality education matrix” recommending that, among other thing, children aged 0-4 should be given information about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body, early childhood masturbation” and “the right to explore gender

identities”.

 

The matrix further recommends that children aged 4-6 should be given information about “same-sex relationships” and the “skills” to “consolidate their gender identity”; that children aged 6-9 should be given information about “the positive influence of sexuality on health and wellbeing”; and children aged 9-12 given information about “first sexual experience” and “gender orientation” as well as the “skills” to “Enable children to… make a conscious decision to have sexual experiences or not”.

 

Commenting on the UN agency’s guidance, the Christian Institute remarked that it had “repeatedly warned that children should not be exposed to material which sexualises them.”

 

The non-denominational Christian charity claimed that it had forced Warwickshire County Council in England to withdraw an ‘All About Me’ sex and relationships education programme, rolled out in some 200 primary schools, in March, because it “encouraged masturbation and included ‘gratuitously graphic’ sexual images yet made no reference to marriage”.

 

The Institute further alleged that the programme “encouraged schools not to inform parents if their children would be sharing overnight accommodation with pupils of the opposite sex” and to “conceal a child’s transgender status from their own parents”.

 

“The highly explicit imagery and one-sided ideology of ‘All About Me’ has no place in Primary Relationships Education,” commented John Denning, the Christian Institute’s Education Officer.

 

“[Relationships and Sex Education] must be balanced, objective and critical, not pushing particular controversial views such as transgender ideology,” he added.

US Pulling Patriot Missiles, Warplanes Out of Saudi Arabia Amid Dispute

 

US wants Saudi oil production cut to ensure stable prices

 

The Trump Administration has been annoyed at Saudi Arabia’s inability to stabilize oil prices at a level high enough to ensure US producers a profit, and in a move that appears to be retaliation based on those tensions, the US is starting to pull military assets out of Saudi Arabia.

 

Officials announced on Thursday that the US will be withdrawing two Patriot missile batteries, along with a number of warplanes from the Saudi desert, along with other air defenses. The assets were placed in the area in recent months to “counter Iran.”

 

The US buildup in Saudi Arabia began after a Yemeni missile hit oil-producing regions. Saudis blamed Iran, and the US sent forces there to “deter” them. US-Iran tensions over Iraq ultimately led to more deployments into the area.

 

Putting troops there appears to have given the US the leverage to pull troops out of there, and with Saudi efforts to try to get oil prices back up largely unsuccessful, the US appears to have decided that this will coax them into action.

 

As a security matter, this is unlikely to matter, as there was no indication that Iran or anyone else was really liable to attack the Saudis. This should also mean no real added security premium on the price of oil, though since the US goal is a price increase, any increase from the pullout would be welcomed.

Anons, I have monitored plane crashes since Q posted 7/10 plane crashes are targeted kills. I always dig on the pilot and connections if any.

 

Soo - there was a crash near Riverside, Ca that occurred April 30 around noon. What is strange is that at the time, there were multiple reports of it. Now, there are just a handful. Also, now here we are 9 days out and not only has the pilot not been identified thus far - there have been no updates at all on the crash. In my limited 2.5 years of watching plane crashes – this is not the norm. Names are usually released within a couple of days. This one has my curiosity up.

Supreme Court grants Trump request to temporarily shield Mueller grand jury materials

 

The Supreme Court on Friday granted a Trump administration request to temporarily shield redacted grand jury materials related to former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe from the Democratic-led House.

 

The order, signed by Chief Justice John Roberts, halts the disclosure of secret grand jury transcripts and exhibits that Democratic lawmakers had initially requested as part of the House impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

 

The move pushes back a lower court’s disclosure order on the materials, which was set to take effect Monday, while the justices consider the administration’s request for a longer delay.

 

Roberts gave the Democratic-led House Judiciary Committee until May 18 to file its response.

 

The administration has said it plans to formally appeal a lower court ruling that granted Democrats access to secret grand jury materials stemming from Mueller's 22-month investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

 

Democrats say the additional information would provide a more complete picture of Mueller’s findings related to Trump’s alleged obstruction of the special counsel, as well as his 2016 campaign’s interactions with Russian government officials.

Tara McGowan, the Democratic operative most closely associated with the technological fiasco that unfolded in the Iowa caucuses, has funneled nearly $2.4 million from her super PAC to her private firm. It is the latest in a series of transfers between entities in her dark money network.

 

New disclosure forms show that PACRONYM, a super PAC affiliated with McGowan's nonprofit ACRONYM—the dark money group behind the botched Iowa caucus app—spent close to $2.4 million on anti-Trump ads Wednesday night that will run in the key swing state of Pennsylvania. The money was sent to a for-profit digital consulting firm, Lockwood Strategy Lab, which is also part of McGowan's network.

 

McGowan's PAC has been active in an effort by Democratic groups to flood battleground states with ads criticizing President Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic. The PAC's filings show that it has been heavily financed by the same wealthy liberal donors who also provide millions to a number of groups undertaking similar efforts.

 

The new expenditures are not the first time McGowan has funneled between the two groups. The super PAC had already sent nearly $1.5 million this cycle to the digital firm for media buys against Trump and $400,000 for digital consulting and survey research. The super PAC transferred $1 million to the firm during the 2018 election cycle. PACRONYM and Lockwood Strategy did not respond to a request for comment on the transfers.

 

McGowan, who previously worked for Priorities USA Action and President Obama's reelection campaign, created ACRONYM following the 2016 election to rival Trump's online operations. Under its umbrella are PACRONYM, Lockwood Strategy, Courier Newsroom, and technology firm Shadow Inc., which developed the app that failed in spectacular fashion during Iowa's Democratic caucuses. The Nevada Democratic Party abandoned the app following the Iowa debacle and ahead of its own caucuses.

 

While ACRONYM does not disclose its donors, some of its funders can be gleaned from public records. For example, Federal Election Commission filings show that the nonprofit received $300,000 from Nancy Pelosi's House Majority PAC in 2018. That same year, the super PAC received a $45,000 donation from billionaire Tom Steyer's NextGen Climate Action Committee, which also paid an additional $90,000 for data consulting services.

 

PACRONYM, on the other hand, must disclose its donors. So far this cycle, the super PAC has hauled in $9.6 million primarily from deep-pocketed individuals. Its biggest contributor is George Soros, whose Democracy PAC has pushed $1.75 million to the super PAC. Billionaire hedge fund investor Donald Sussman provided $1 million, putting him among the group's top donors. The PAC's money, in turn, has mainly been sent to Lockwood Strategy for ads, consulting services, and research.

 

It is unclear which entity pays McGowan and how much she collects. The super PAC reported making no payments to McGowan, and ACRONYM's most recent tax forms only show $16,000 paid to McGowan between the beginning of May 2017 and late April 2018. If McGowan is paid through Lockwood, the amount will most likely remain hidden.

 

With the millions it paid to Lockwood for the anti-Trump campaign, PACRONYM joins a number of other liberal groups spending big on similar efforts in battleground states.

 

Priorities USA Action, the largest Democratic super PAC backing Joe Biden's candidacy, has said it plans to spend upward of $150 million on the 2020 elections. The group has poured seven-figure sums into ads in the Midwest attacking Trump over coronavirus. Like PACRONYM, Priorities USA's top donors include Sussman ($8 million) and Soros ($5 million).

 

Liberal operative David Brock's American Bridge PAC, which recently joined forces with the pro-Biden Unite the Country PAC to form a $175 million coalition, has also spent millions attacking Trump in battleground states over COVID-19. Soros has given the PAC $2 million.

San Francisco is supplying free drugs and alcohol to homeless people who are staying at city-leased hotels. The San Francisco Department of Public Health defended the city providing free alcohol, marijuana, and cigarettes to the homeless by saying it is necessary to prevent people from breaking quarantine during the coronavirus outbreak.

 

On Wednesday, San Francisco health officials confirmed that the California city was supplying homeless people with free alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, and methadone to prevent them from going outside to get the substances themselves.

 

"They're doing San Francisco a great service by staying inside," Jenna Lane, a spokeswoman for the city's Department of Health, told the San Francisco Chronicle. "We're saying, 'we're doing what we can to support you staying inside and not have to go out and get these things.'"

Thomas Wolf, a former homeless drug addict turned advocate, is concerned that the city is enabling drug abusers.

"I just found out that homeless placed in hotels in SF are being delivered Alcohol, Weed and Methadone because they identified as an addict/alcoholic for FREE," Wolf tweeted. "You're supposed to be offering treatment. This is enabling and is wrong on many levels."

"Even before Canada had its first documented case of COVID-19 in late January, the conspiracy theories were already flying.

 

The first one I noticed was that story about how the virus was stolen from a lab in Canada by a Chinese spy team who then proceeded to weaponize it.

 

Then there are the QAnon believers, a far-right conspiracy cult that also promotes drinking Miracle Mineral Supplement (active ingredient: industrial bleach) to cure COVID-19, and thinks the virus is a population control scheme orchestrated by Bill Gates. Ironies abound.

 

One coronavirus conspiracy theory that’s gained a lot of traction is the one that blames COVID-19 on 5G mobile phone technology, possibly because it got a celebrity bump when folks like Woody Harrelson, M.I.A. and John Cusack helped promote the theory on social media. Last week, that theory inspired arsonists to attack four cellphone towers in Quebec, the first such attacks in Canada. (There have been incidents in Europe and the United Kingdom.)

 

Surely, though, people with science credentials as impressive as these celebs wouldn’t retweet misinformation, right? To find out, we turned to an expert on the matter, Jonathan Jarry, science communicator at McGill University’s Office for Science and Society, who recently wrote about this issue, to ask if there was any truth to the idea that 5G was causing COVID-19?"

What has happened to General Flynn is a tragedy! It is finally coming to an end. He was set up. He lost his home in the process and most of his savings all under false pretenses. Man Hit, Killed by Southwest Plane As It Landed at Austin Airport

 

The pilot reported a person on the runway to air traffic control. A man was struck and killed by a Southwest Airlines plane as it was landing on the runway of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport late Thursday, according to airport officials.

The pilot of the Southwest flight from Dallas to Austin reported a person on the runway to air traffic control after it was cleared to land.

"Where exactly do you see the man?," the controller asked.

"They are behind us now," the pilot said.

Southwest Airlines said in a statement to ABC News that the aircraft "maneuvered to avoid an individual who became visible" shortly after the the Boeing 737 touched down.

The scene was cleared overnight, according to an airport official, and the runway re-opened early Friday morning.

Southwest said none of the 59 people on board the flight were injured in the incident and that it is fully cooperating with local law enforcement and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

FAA investigators deployed to the scene last night. The agency has not confirmed whether or not the aircraft struck the victim.

A spokesperson from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said it is still gathering information and has not launched an official investigation at this time.

The Austin Police Department did not respond to ABC News' request for comment on how the victim gained access to the runway.

Holy shit!!! I just thought of something. I have wondered for some time why the, "virus," seems to effect mainly older people and seems to be more prevalent in nursing homes etc.

The group has also shared its fatality estimates with the C.D.C., Dr. Ferguson said, including that eight to nine percent of people in the most vulnerable age group, 80 and older, could die if infected. In late March, Neil Ferguson backtracked and said 20,000 Brits may die from the coronavirus instead of his original estimates. And now Sue Denim, a software engineer for 30 years, studied the Dr. Ferguson’s model and concluded it is complete garbage and cannot be scientifically replicated. Imperial’s modelling efforts should be reset with a new team that isn’t under Professor Ferguson, and which has a commitment to replicable results with published code from day one.

 

On a personal level, I’d go further and suggest that all academic epidemiology be defunded. This sort of work is best done by the insurance sector. Insurers employ modelers and data scientists, but also employ managers whose job is to decide whether a model is accurate enough for real world usage and professional software engineers to ensure model software is properly tested, understandable and so on. Academic efforts don’t have these people, and the results speak for themselves.

Israeli charged with stoning Palestinian mother to death allowed back to West Bank settlement

 

An Israeli court district has allowed a young Israeli settler, suspected of killing a Palestinian mother of eight in her car in 2018, to go back to the settlement, Israeli media reported on Sunday.

 

The 47-year-old Palestinian, Aisha Mohammed Rabi, died of injuries sustained after Israeli settlers threw stones at her car at a checkpoint near Nablus in the northern West Bank, also injuring her husband.

 

While there were multiple suspects in the case, all suspects were later released, with the exception of the unnamed minor, who was indicted for manslaughter after traces of his DNA were found on the stone, according to Haaretz.

 

The indicted adolescent, who can't be publicly named under Israeli law, was released on house arrest in his grandparents' home.

While the program, called NOMARS (as in “No Manning Required, Ship,”), is separate from the Navy's current $1 billion push to produce batch of unmanned surface vessels, DARPA's program would reportedly seek to rapidly mature the technology beyond the service's existing capabilities.

 

“NOMARS is going and looking at ‘Can I take people completely off ships,’” DARPA Tactical Technology Office chief Mike Leahy told C4ISRNet. “That’s a risky endeavor. We don’t know if we’re going to be able to do that. We don’t know if that’s going to pan out."

 

Of course, DARPA has already fielded an advanced autonomous USV in the form of the Sea Hunter, but to achieve a revolutionary advance in the technology, DARPA plans on going with a radical new design for its next-generation robot vessel.

The DNC claimed in January that the reason the FBI never examined their hacked server was simple–the FBI never requested to do so. Yet, DNC deputy communications director Eric Walker gave told BuzzFeed News in an email, “The DNC had several meetings with representatives of the FBI’s Cyber Division and its Washington (DC) Field Office, the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and it responded to a variety of requests for cooperation, but the FBI never requested access to the DNC’s computer servers.”

“The bill, the Trauma-Informed Modernization of Eldercare for Holocaust Survivors Act or “TIME for Holocaust Survivors Act” increases the chances that survivors could age in their own homes.

The bill introduced by Sens. Ben Cardin, D-Md., Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., and Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., incorporates several provisions into the Older Americans Act to ensure that Holocaust survivors have care and services tailored to their needs.

“Holocaust survivors came to the United States seeking refuge from unimaginable horrors. They have lived their lives here and enriched our nation. With an average age of 85, we have an obligation to provide Holocaust survivors the community support and special services they need to live out their final days,” Cardin said in a statement.

More than 300 national, state and local organizations – most Jewish organizations including Jewish federations, Holocaust education organizations and synagogues – signed a letter of support for the legislation

There are about 80,000 Holocaust survivors living in the United States, with one-third of them living at or below the poverty line. Aging Holocaust survivors have needs similar to other older Americans, but institutionalized settings, with confined spaces or restrictions on food, can induce panic, anxiety, and re-traumatization due to their Holocaust experiences, the bill notes.

The bill would include Holocaust survivors as a designated group with the greatest social need within the Older Americans Act; promote technical assistance and training for nonprofits that serve older adults experiencing the long-effects of trauma; and ensure that the providers of nutrition services through the Older Americans Act can meet the special dietary needs of Holocaust survivors when there is sufficient demand in a community. “

 

You read that right: apparently “forcing” old Jews to live in nursing homes like the rest of Americans “re-traumatizes” them and brings back unpleasant memories of living in concentration camps. So to avoid this “trauma,” American taxpayers will now foot the bill to keep them in their own homes by providing expensive in-home private nursing care around the clock. This is yet another example of jewish exceptionalism, otherwise known as “white privilege”.

And this is why it is absolutely crucial that the so-called Holocaust be exposed for the criminal shakedown operation that it is.

Apparently, America doesn’t have the same “obligation” to provide such expensive care to WWII veterans to risked their lives to defeat the Germans on behalf of world Jewry. No, those veterans can rot homeless on the streets while so-called Holocaust “survivors” who never risked anything for this country will be provided with private care that only the wealthy can hope to afford. And this outrageous proposal has “bipartisan” support in the U.S. Senate, which means no one has the guts to vote against it for fear of being run out of office in the next election cycle.

Four Republican congressmen found out the hard way that voting against “big government” is perfectly acceptable only as long as it doesn’t involve programs that promote and consolidate jewish power and supremacy, like mandatory Holocaust education in public schools:

 

“The Republican Jewish Coalition is withdrawing its support from four incumbent Republican House members after they voted against the bipartisan Never Again Education Act, legislation to authorize new funding to help schools teach students about the Holocaust and antisemitism.

Details: The legislation passed 393-5 in the House on Monday. Reps. Jodey Arrington (R-TX), Thomas Massie (R-KY), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Tom Rice (R-SC) and Justin Amash (I-MI) were the only members of Congress who voted against the bill. In a press release, Norman cited his “views on the role of the federal government and its lack of fiscal restraint” as the reason for his vote.

Speaking out: RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks tells Jewish Insider’s Jacob Kornbluh that his group’s congressional affairs office got in touch with the offices of Norman and Arrington and were told that their “no” vote was process-related. “But from our perspective, there comes a time when you have to take votes that go beyond process,” Brooks stressed. “And, I think, especially now with this time of rising antisemitism in the U.S. and around the world, the symbolism of this and the importance of the government standing up and showing its support for Holocaust education outweighs any process concerns.”

Not an excuse: Brooks said there were likely “a large number of others in the Republican caucus who may have had similar misgivings or concerns about this process, but they did the right thing and looked beyond that to stand up against antisemitism and to stand with the Jewish community. So we remain disappointed in their votes. We think that they voted absolutely the wrong way on that, no matter how they want to justify it.”

Pay the price: Brooks tells JI that in wake of this vote, the RJC, which generally supports incumbents for re-election, will not be backing the four Republicans against their challengers. “We don’t think that this vote is a reflection of their views on antisemitism,” he stated, “but it makes it so that we will not be supporting any of those individuals going forward.””

 

So the Jews acknowledge that these ‘no’ votes had no real world consequences, as they got their massive funding for Holocaust indoctrination in a landslide.

And the Jews recognize that the ‘no’ votes were based on standard Republican principles of ‘small government’.

1 - Answers the Congressman's question regarding the "conspiracy theory from so-called 'experts' that the files were directly downloaded" that he consulted with his team who are "top experts in the area" who said it was "not plausible". 'Beyond the Pale': Unanimous Supreme Court Strikes Down Activist Judges' Illegal Immigrant Ruling

 

On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously struck down an activist ruling from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, condemning it as “beyond the pale.” The 9th Circuit had twisted the case United States v. Sineneng-Smith in order to strike down as unconstitutional a federal law prohibiting Americans from inducing an illegal alien to enter or reside in the United States. The notorious liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote the Court’s opinion, illustrating just how unanimous the ruling was.

 

“The Ninth Circuit’s radical transformation of this case goes well beyond the pale,” Ginsburg wrote. Indeed, she cited previous Court rulings condemning the abuses of activist judges who use the judiciary to strike down laws by raising issues that are not pertinent to the case at hand.

 

“In short: ‘[C]ourts are essentially passive instruments of government,'” Ginsburg wrote, quoting an opinion from United States v. Samues (1987). “They ‘do not, or should not, sally forth each day looking for wrongs to right. [They] wait for cases to come to [them], and when [cases arise, courts] normally decide only questions presented by the parties.'”

 

The case involves Evelyn Sineneng-Smith, who operated an immigration consulting firm in San Jose, Calif. Sineneng-Smith extended false promises to immigrants who did not have legal authorization to work in the U.S. She told these illegal immigrants that she would file applications for a labor certification program that had once provided a path for immigrants to adjust to lawful permanent resident status, but she knew that her clients could not meet the long-passed statutory application-filing deadline.

 

Sineneng-Smith charged her clients over $6,000, netting more than $3.3 million. She was indicted for multiple violations under the federal law barring citizens from encouraging or inducing aliens “to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Federal law also imposes an enhanced penalty if the crime is “done for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain.” She was convicted on these counts, in addition to counts of filing false tax returns and mail fraud. She did not contest the tax crimes or the mail fraud.

 

In the District Court, she argued that the laws did not apply to her conduct, and claimed that if they did, they would violate the Petition and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment. The District Court rejected her arguments.

 

Yet Sineneng-Smith appealed to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which not only granted the appeal but also fundamentally transformed the case. The 9th Circuit panel of judges named three amici curiae and invited them to brief and argue issues framed by the panel, including a question never raised by Sineneng-Smith: whether the federal statute was overbroad under the First Amendment. The 9th Circuit then proceeded to strike down the federal law.

 

The Supreme Court rightly rejected this activist attack on a just federal statute.

 

“We applaud the Court’s well-reasoned decision,” Dale L. Wilcox, executive director and general counsel at the Immigration and Reform Law Institute, said in a statement. “Unfortunately, the Court did not have to reach the issue of whether this important statute is constitutional, but it did keep the law in place. When and if the overbreadth issue is brought up properly by a defendant in the future, we will be there.”

 

The Court was unanimous in striking down the 9th Circuit’s decision, but Justice Clarence Thomas filed a concurring opinion suggesting that the Court revise its “overbreadth doctrine.”

 

“The overbreadth doctrine appears to be the handiwork of judges, based on the misguided ‘notion that some constitutional rights demand preferential treatment.’ It seemingly lacks any basis in the text or history of the First Amendment, relaxes the traditional standard for facial challenges, and violates Article III principles regarding judicial power and standing,” he wrote.

 

U.S. v. Sineneng-Smith (2020) serves as an important rebuke to judicial activism, but Thomas may be correct that it does not go far enough. At the very least, the Supreme Court rightly defended a federal law that rightly bans Americans from inducing illegal immigrants to enter this country after the 9th Circuit wrongfully struck it down.

US Attorney General Bill Barr blasted James Comey during an interview Thursday with CBS’s Catherine Herridge and said the FBI tried to lay a “perjury trap” for General Flynn.

 

The Justice Department dropped its case against General Mike Flynn Thursday after bombshell documents released proved he was framed by Comey’s FBI.

 

The DOJ said in its motion to dismiss that “The interview of Mr. Flynn was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn.”

 

The DOJ was referring to the January 24, 2017 ambush FBI interview conducted by FBI counterintel chief Peter Strzok and FBI special agent Joe Pientka.

 

On January 4, 2017, the FBI field office found “No derogatory information” on Flynn and decided to close CROSSFIRE RAZOR.

 

The DOJ said the FBI kept open its counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn based solely on his December 2016 calls with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak — A NON-CRIME!

 

In fact, James Comey bragged during an interview with Nicolle Wallace that he personally “sent” Strzok and Pientka to the White House on January 24, 2017 to ambush Flynn without his attorney present.

 

“I think a very important evidence here was that this was not a bonafide counterintelligence investigation was that they were closing the investigation in December. They started that process and on January 4th, they were closing it,” Barr said. “They initially tried some theories of how they could open another investigation, which didn’t fly, and then they found out that they had not technically closed the earlier investigation. And they kept it open for the express purpose of trying to catch, lay a perjury trap for General Flynn.”

 

Barr continued, “They didn’t warn him the way we usually would be required by the Department. They bypassed the Justice Department, they bypassed the protocols at the White House and so forth. These were things that persuaded me that there was not a legitimate counterintelligence investigation going on.”

 

Barr told Herridge that Durham is looking at the FBI’s conduct before and after the 2016 presidential election.

What in the world is happening in Texas? Just this week, a woman in Dallas was jailed for opening her hair salon so her employees could feed their kids. Apotex Corp. Agrees to Pay a $24.1 Million Criminal Penalty

 

Apotex Corp., a generic pharmaceutical company headquartered in Florida, was charged with fixing the price of the generic drug pravastatin, the Department of Justice announced today. According to the one-count felony charge filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Apotex and other generic drug companies agreed to increase and maintain the price of pravastatin, a commonly prescribed cholesterol medication that lowers the risk of heart disease and stroke. The conspiracy began in May 2013 and continued through December 2015.

 

The Antitrust Division also announced a deferred prosecution agreement (DPA) resolving the charge against Apotex. The company agreed to pay a $24.1 million criminal penalty and admit that it conspired with other generic drug sellers to artificially raise the price of pravastatin. The single count charges that Apotex communicated with competitors about the price increase and subsequently refrained from submitting competitive bids to customers that previously purchased pravastatin from a competing company. Under the DPA, Apotex has agreed to cooperate fully with the Antitrust Division’s ongoing criminal investigation. As part of the agreement, the parties will file a joint motion, which is subject to approval by the court, to defer for the term of the DPA any prosecution and trial of the charges filed against the defendant. potex is the fourth company to be charged in connection with antitrust violations in the generic pharmaceutical industry. The previous three corporate charges were resolved by deferred prosecution agreements. Four individuals have also been charged. Three entered guilty pleas and the fourth is awaiting trial.

 

The charged offense carries a statutory maximum penalty of a $100 million fine per count for corporations, which may be increased to twice the gain derived from the crime or twice the loss suffered by victims if either amount is greater than $100 million.

 

The charge is the result of an ongoing federal antitrust investigation into price fixing, bid rigging, and other anticompetitive conduct in the generic pharmaceutical industry, which is being conducted by the Antitrust Division with the assistance of the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General, the FBI’s Washington Field Office, the FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Barkai was convicted in 2011 of being part of an international child pornography distribution ring and later sentenced to 18 months behind bars. However, the punishment was reduced on appeal to six months of community service, a nine-month suspended sentence and a NIS 20,000 ($5,690) fine.

 

For over a year up to his conviction, but after he had already been charged, Barkai continued to practice at a Haifa clinic of the Meuhedet HMO after a Health Ministry disciplinary committee ruled that he could continue to see children as long as a parent or nurse was in the room.

 

The disciplinary committee went on to rule that despite the charges, Barkai did not pose a danger to children as he had not been accused of physical acts against minors. As a result, it ruled that the pediatrician’s license should only be stripped for two years, and by July 2013 Barkai got his license back….

 

However, senior officials in the Health Ministry have come to Barkai’s defense. In 2014, the Health Ministry’s senior vice president of Administration and Human Resources, Dov Passat, submitted a letter to the disciplinary committee asserting that there should be nothing preventing Barkai from applying for tenders for positions as a pediatrician. The letter was submitted by Barkai as an official position of the Health Ministry to the Petah Tivka Magistrate’s Court, which ruled in 2018 that he be granted an exemption from the ban on employing convicted sex offenders as he does not pose a risk to the public, even if he works as a pediatrician.

 

In late 2018, a medical board voted unanimously to award Barkai a position as medical supervisor at the Health Ministry’s student health services department in the northern district. The Civil Service Commission subsequently interfered and blocked the appointment, stating in a 2019 hearing that “while the job at hand does not require clinical care for children, its core is oversight of student services and some of its assignments take place on school grounds and during the school day… Taking into account the nature of the offenses of which Dr. Barkai was convicted, [granting him this position] can greatly damage the image of the Civil Service Commission and the public’s confidence in its institutions.” "

Fauci says coronavirus was not created in Wuhan lab he’s been funding with taxpayer money since 2015 to work on coronavirus “gain-of-function” research

 

The longer Dr. Anthony Fauci serves as the face of the Trump administration’s coronavirus response, the more we learn about just how controversial and inept he really is.

 

The long-serving director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said in an interview with National Geographic published on Monday that it’s just not likely the coronavirus (COVID-19) originated in a lab in Wuhan city.

 

“If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what’s out there now, [the scientific evidence] is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated,” Fauci said. “Everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that [this virus] evolved in nature and then jumped species.”

 

Is that so? Because those comments contradict other Trump administration officials including the president himself and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the latter of whom told ABC News’ “This Week” that there is “enormous evidence” the Wuhan coronavirus came from a lab, not a Chinese wet market.

 

“China has a history of infecting the world, and they have a history of running substandard laboratories,” he explained to host Martha Raddatz. “These are not the first times that we’ve had a world exposed to viruses as a result of failures in a Chinese lab.”

 

So — why would Fauci make such a claim when the real evidence indicates he’s wrong?

 

Perhaps because he wants to cover up some prior activity that would give him at least some culpability in the creation of the virus?

 

As Newsweek reported last month, Fauci supported the laboratory now in question with millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars “for risky coronavirus research.”

With the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health pledged $3.7 million over six years to fund gain-of-function work — a pledge that followed a previous $3.7 million 5-year investment in a “project for collecting and studying bat coronaviruses which ended in 2019,” the magazine reported.

 

Several scientists have not been supportive of gain-of-function research because it involves the manipulation of viruses in order to explore how they could infect humans because of the risk of starting a pandemic if one were to be accidentally released.

And about that 2015 funding. The Times of Israel reported April 25:

 

Back in October 2014, the US government had placed a federal moratorium on gain-of-function (GOF) research—altering natural pathogens to make them more deadly and infectious–as a result of rising fears about a possible pandemic caused by accidental or deliberate release of these genetically engineered monster germs.

 

This was in part due to lab accidents at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in July 2014 that raised questions about biosafety at US high-containment labs.

 

Due to those accidents, the CDC closed two labs and halted some biological shipments. The agency later noted in an internal report that scientists failed to follow proper procedures to make sure samples were inactivated before leaving the lab. There were “multiple other problems” as well.

 

So, in October 2014, the Obama administration banned all federal funding of all efforts to weaponize three viruses — influenza, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

In a groundbreaking report, it was discovered that Donna Brazile, former DNC Chairwoman, and high-ranking DNC rep, tried to put an end into the Seth Rich investigations. Eshkol, caught off guard by the tone of the telegram, took seven weeks to assent, and the twice-yearly inspections continued until 1969 when President Richard Nixon ended them.

 

Also revealed in the trove of documents the NSA posted is the origin of Israel’s oft-repeated credo that it would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons — a deliberately ambiguous statement that left Israel room to develop the weapons, but not arm them.

 

Shimon Peres, then the deputy defense minister who later would lead the country as prime minister for two stints and then become president, improvised the statement when he was surprised by Kennedy during a meeting Peres had scheduled with Kennedy’s adviser, Myer Feldman, who also functioned as the administration’s liaison to Israel and the U.S. Jewish community. Unbeknownst to Peres, Kennedy and Feldman had planned the “surprise” encounter.

 

According to a Hebrew-language Foreign Ministry of Israel account of the April 2 meeting, Kennedy asked Peres into the Oval Office for 30 minutes and questioned him on Israel’s nuclear capacity.

 

“You know that we follow very closely the discovery of any nuclear development in the region,” Kennedy said. “This could create a very dangerous situation. For this reason, we monitor your nuclear effort. What could you tell me about this?”

 

Peres improvised, “I can tell you most clearly that we will not introduce nuclear weapons to the region, and certainly we will not be the first.”

He should have known that the Jews would never accept a situation where they could not only defend themselves, but also threaten to destroy the entire planet if anyone seriously threatened the Jews, and that included their American “allies”, as the Kennedy family discovered not just once, but a number of times.
