EU Drafting Law Allowing Seizure of Private Property During Pandemic Emergencies: Report

 

The European Union is reportedly drafting a law that will allow Brussels to seize private property during a pandemic emergency.

 

In a leaked New Year message to his staff, the EU’s Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton has outlined plans for a “Single Market Emergency Instrument” that will have a “toolbox of measures” in order to ensure the “security of supply during a crisis”.

 

The measures are expected to be proposed in the Spring and are believed to potentially include controls on exports and also new powers for the EU to obtain information from companies on production, stockpiles, and their supply chains, POLITICO reports.

 

In his message, Breton justified the need for the new power by stating that the European Union “will not allow corporate interests to interfere with the greater interest of the European people.”

 

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has also expressed a desire for an EU Single Market Emergency Instrument to help “fast-track decisions, whenever a critical situation emerges”.

 

While a bloc-wide system would be novel, several European Union member states have already attempted to seize private goods destined for other nations during the pandemic.

 

France was accused of displaying “a lack of European solidarity” when it was alleged to have blocked a shipment of “hundreds of thousands” of masks to Italy and Spain in order to bolster domestic supplies.

 

France also targeted the United Kingdom with aggressive “requisition” policies, including when the Macron government seized three British lorries carrying 130,000 masks and hand sanitiser intended for UK healthcare workers. The healthcare supplies were eventually allowed to be transported to Britain, but only after the UK government stepped in.

 

At the time, Eurosceptic former Conservative Party leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith commented on the ordeal: “This shows you all you need to know about European co-operation”.

NYPD officers harassed a family and forced them out of a restaurant for not having Covid vaccine papers.

 

New York Governor Kathy Hochul and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio have imposed vaccine mandates for healthcare workers and public and private school employees.

 

De Blasio also imposed a vaccine passport system for restaurants, gyms, theaters and bars.

 

NYPD officers are now De Blasio’s Gestapo vax passport enforcement arm.

 

People are being murdered and robbed in the streets of New York City, but a dozen agents were dispatched to a restaurant to harass a young mother and her child for not having vax papers.

 

A young boy was so frightened after being surrounded by police officers that he began to cry.

 

“Is this what you signed up for? Is this what justice looks like to you? Is this what you dreamed of when you wanted to be a cop?” a woman filming the incident said as the officers demanded the unvaxxed family leave the restaurant.

 

“Either you have a vaccine card or you have to exit the restaurant!” a police officer shouted. “If you leave voluntarily, you will not be arrested, you will not have charges pressed against you — otherwise you will be arrested for trespassing! This is your only warning!”

Minnesota school district approves extra pay for non-white teachers

 

A Minnesota school district will soon exclusively give non-white teachers extra pay to become mentors to other minority teachers.

 

The Mankato School Board earlier this month voted unanimously to provide "additional stipends" to non-white teachers who become mentors to other non-white colleagues. Additionally, Minnesota-based Alpha News reported that the new policy will also see the district "placing American Indian educators at sites with other American Indian educators and educators of color at sites with other educators of color.”

 

The school board claims that this new policy will "increase opportunity for collegial support" for teachers who are black, indigenous, and for other people of color. They hope to increase retention rates among these demographics.

 

“Retention strategies may include providing financial incentives for teachers of color and teachers who are American Indian to work in the school or district for at least five years and placing American Indian educators at sites with other American Indian educators and educators of color at sites with other educators of color to reduce isolation and increase opportunity for collegial support,” the policy reads.

 

Before the vote on Dec. 7, board members denied that the policy of placing teachers at different work sites based on their race would amount to segregation.

 

“When you’re one [minority] of a [white] majority it can be very isolating and lonely. To have a support system in place for them is not to segregate them, it is absolutely to support them,” board member Erin Roberts said. "My biggest fear is that we are going to lose talent because of the feeling of being unsupported by those within our district."

 

"It’s not about trying to throw the few [BIPOC] individuals we have into one building. It’s about showing them they aren’t alone,” she continued.

 

"It creates global citizens at the end of the day," Vice Chairman Kenneth Reid added.

There's an accident in the Oval Office. Not the kind of accident left on the rug in front of the Resolute Desk on a regular basis by the untrained, rowdy dogs the Biden's sicced on the unwitting White House staff and Secret Service. I'm talking about the man who sits behind the resolute desk for his daily naps.

 

Joe Biden is the accidental president. He is the result of an accident of American politics.

 

His presidency will not be remembered with an asterisk, as my friend and fellow Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter would say. No, it will be remembered… reviled… as the accident that it was, is and ever shall be.

 

He became the Democrats' nominee in 2020 by accident. He shouldn't have even run in the first place. Everyone knows that's true.

 

If he was such a great man and gifted leader and our nation couldn't do without him, why didn't he just run for Obama's third term in 2016 as the sitting vice president? This would've been the natural move for such a powerful, important, and wise leader to make.

 

But he didn't run in 2016. And did you notice that nobody seemed to notice? Nobody seemed to care. Even Obama sat by and let him languish as the Democrats openly joked about him and Hillary Clinton's henchmen bullied him into officially declaring himself a non-candidate.

 

At the time, the adoring and compliant media ran interference by declaring that he couldn't possibly run for office due to the grief over losing his son Beau to cancer. Sure. Yeah. That's what it was all about. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Biden had become a walking punchline and even then was seen as too old for the job.

 

He ended up getting the 2020 nomination because the other choices at the time were Pete Buttegeig, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders.

 

Biden was the dream nominee given the nightmare of that choice. So it fell into his lap.

 

Couple that accident with the very deliberate bastardization of our elections and voting protocols in 2020 under the dubious guise of fear over China's diabolical gift to the world, Covid-19, and boom, we got President Accident.

 

It's at this point when so many of my friends and colleagues who oppose this president start to voice some version of "Oh, I feel sorry for Biden" or "Oh, Jill shouldn't let him continue, look how out of it he is" or "He's not really in charge… he's so out of it he's just a puppet."

 

Stop. Just stop it. Biden is and always has been a mean-spirited, power-hungry creep.

 

You feel sorry for him? Ask the family of Robert Bork, who he slimed, slandered and destroyed during his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court, if they feel sorry for him.

 

Ask Clarence Thomas and his family if he feels sorry for him over the attempted character assassination Biden engineered during his hearings.

 

Ask Sarah Palin over the way he demeaned and degraded her in 2008. Or Paul Ryan in 2012. Or Mitt Romney when Biden declared to a black audience that the GOP nominee wanted to "put them all back in chains."

 

Ask all the unborn babies that he now sits back and allows to be extinguished while still publicly grandstanding on his warped vision of something he thinks is the Catholic position on this despicable act.

 

Further, ask all the other Catholics in this country who now wrongly believe you can be a Catholic in good standing and your salvation is guaranteed while still supporting and participating in the intrinsically evil act of abortion. By promoting his false teaching on abortion, Biden is leading multitudes of others to damnation because they believe his convoluted nonsense about Catholic teachings.

 

Do you think Biden deserves your sympathy?

 

I assure you, it's grace he would never extend to you if you oppose him politically. Ever.

 

And now, this accident of a president has in just one year watched over one of the most disastrous economic periods of the last American century.

 

With skyrocketing inflation, out-of-control government spending, ever-expanding authoritarian controls from our federal government, and an incoherent, unscientific, and incompetent public policy toward the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe Biden's America has reached a depressing and nauseating valley of despair.

 

He literally proclaimed this week that certain Americans – the citizens of this country that he serves – are "looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated – for themselves, their families and the hospitals they'll soon overwhelm."

Pennsylvania Gets Christmas-Day Delivery of Illegal Aliens From Biden Claus

 

Some people call them “ghost flights” — federally chartered planes that arrive in the dead of night at airports far from the U.S. border and deep inside the country’s interior. They drop off their cargo of illegal aliens, who are immediately boarded onto waiting buses and distributed who-knows-where. Flight manifests are never made available by the government, even to the contractors who fly the planes for them and especially not to local officials.

 

On Christmas Day, the Wilkes Barre-Scranton International Airport in Pennsylvania received two such flights, and local Republicans are trying to get to the bottom of it.

 

“No one was made aware of it. They did their very best to make this very secretive,” Rep. Dan Meuser (R-Penn.) said on NewsMax TV’s National Report on Monday. “Planeloads of underage migrants are being secretly flown into northeast Pennsylvania with the idea of quietly resettling them across the region, and so it’s not just one plane thus far. It’s been four and it is, in fact confirmed. And we are receiving no information at all. I have letters out to Sec. Mayorkas at the Dept. of Homeland Security. We have other calls in to the State Dept.”

 

Meuser sent a letter to Sec. Mayorkas in which he referred to an earlier ghost flight that had landed in Scranton on Dec. 17. “It is my understanding that a total of 130 immigrants, 118 minors and 12 adults, arrived aboard an iAero charter flight on Friday, Dec. 17, and were subsequently transported on buses from a private hangar,” he wrote. “This flight seems to have occurred without airport officials receiving notice or a passenger manifest.”

 

On Sunday, Meuser learned that two more flights arrived in Scranton. A fourth flight is scheduled to land on Dec. 30.

 

“The lack of communication and transparency surrounding this process is unacceptable,” he said. “Your agency failed to notify me or any other local officials of these activities, leaving us unable to answer the concerns of constituents in the communities we represent. Pennsylvanians deserve to know about these decisions affecting their community.”

In Latest Ludicrous COVID Measures, France Bans… Popcorn?

France will ban concessions at cinemas and all consumables on public transport from January 3rd in order to “combat” the spread of the Omicron variant. Additional measures, ostensibly meant to combat the spread of the mild virus, were announced by French Prime Minister Jean Castex during a press conference on December 27th.

 

Indoor events with 2,000 attendees and outdoor events with 5,000 attendees will be allowed to continue, so long as everyone in attendance remains seated. Bars and restaurants will also stay open, but all food and drinks must be consumed from a seated position in order to battle the latest wave of COVID-19.

 

Consuming popcorn in cinemas where everyone is sitting down to enjoy the latest film? Sacré-bleu!

 

French officials are currently debating whether to mandate vaccines for those wanting to access “leisure venues.” The measure has yet to be voted upon by the French Parliament, but will take effect on January 15th if approved.

 

Protests across Europe have intensified in recent weeks as governments debate whether to mandate vaccine passports for reentry to regular life. During the summer, France underwent more than 12 weeks of protests as citizens railed against the introduction of vaccine passports.

 

At present, individuals must show a negative COVID test to enter various venues, including cinemas. Masks are required for passengers on all forms of public transport. Castex noted that masks may also be made mandatory outside in town centers, and a new curfew will be re-examined as an option on January 5th. France’s schools will reopen as planned in January, but French employees must work remotely where possible for at least three days in January.

 

Other new measures included a shortening of the wait time between second vaccination and a first booster shot. French citizens will only have to wait three months between vaccinations and boosters.

 

“I know that it feels like a film without ending, but a year ago we started our vaccination campaign and now we are one of the best vaccinated and best protected people in the world,” Castex told the news conference.

 

In December, the CDC announced that 80 percent of Omicron cases in the United States were found in the vaccinated and boosted populations, potentially accounting for France’s recent surge in cases.

Mexico: Cemex has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact’s Chief CFO Taskforce for the Sustainable Development Goals. The taskforce engages global chief finance officers (CFOs) in integrating the UN’s 10 sustainable development goals (SDG) into strategy, financing and investor relations in order to create a broad sustainable finance market. Its aims include providing the global development community with a modern view of how capital markets can contribute to financing the SDGs at scale, developing innovative financial instruments and contributing to a broad market of diversified investment opportunities, supporting companies in securing financial capital to transform their business and production models, connecting companies’ SDG investments with increasingly impact-orientated investors, developing internal tools and resources to embed sustainability in corporate finance, promoting partnerships between chief executive officers and CFOs and helping to translate sustainability strategies into financial language for investors and rating agencies.Cemex’s CFO Maher Al-Haffar said “Climate change is perhaps the biggest challenge of our times, affecting lives and disrupting economies. Only by aligning our financial and climate action strategies will we be able to overcome this challenge.” He added “At Cemex, we share the beliefs embodied in the CFO principles and are honoured to join the UN Global Compact CFO Taskforce for the SDGs, through which we will actively contribute to the innovation of corporate finance that will enable the building of a more resilient future for all.”
