The following provisions of law governing Presidential Elections are contained in Chapter 1 of Title 3, United States Code (62 Stat. 672, as amended):

TITLE 3 THE PRESIDENT

Chapter 1. Presidential Elections and Vacancies

(From § 15, Counting electoral votes in congress)

Upon such reading of any such certificate or paper, the President of the Senate shall call for objections, if any. Every objection shall be made in writing, and shall state clearly and concisely, and without argument, the ground thereof, and shall be signed by at least one Senator and one Member of the House of Representatives before the same shall be received. When all objections so made to any vote or paper from a State shall have been received and read, the Senate shall thereupon withdraw, and such objections shall be submitted to the Senate for its decision; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall, in like manner, submit such objections to the House of Representatives for its decision; and no electoral vote or votes from any State which shall have been regularly given by electors whose appointment has been lawfully certified to according to section 6 of this title from which but one return has been received shall be rejected, but the two Houses concurrently may reject the vote or votes when they agree that such vote or votes have not been so regularly given by electors whose appointment has been so certified. Gerald Michael Butts (born July 8, 1971) is a Canadian political consultant who served as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from November 4, 2015 until his resignation on February 18, 2019.[2][3][4] From 2008 to 2012, he was president and CEO of the World Wildlife Fund Canada,[5] part of a global conservation organization. On June 25, 2008, Butts was announced as the president and CEO of the World Wildlife Fund Canada. He officially took up the position on September 2, 2008,[15] succeeding Mike Russill.

On October 16, 2012,[16] Butts left WWF Canada to become the political advisor to Justin Trudeau.

tlanta authorities are probing a firebombing incident after a device was thrown into a law office on Sunday evening.

Local fire crews responded to reports of a fire in southwest Atlanta, at a building at the 2000 block of Fairburn Road SW.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported, FOX 5 Atlanta reported. Investigators told the news outlet that the backside of the building was damaged in the attack.

A firebomb is a bomb that causes a fire instead of exploding.

A motive behind the attack isn't yet clear. Newsweek has contacted Marvin S. Arrington Jr, a Fulton county commissioner who is also a partner at the law office that was hit—Arrington & Phillips, LLP.

Commissioner Arrington told WSB-TV 2 on Sunday night that a hired contractor was inside his office building at the time of the incident.

"Apparently they walked up, they were behind the office, so apparently they left a gasoline can and they left a roll of toilet tissue and I assume they had left two or three, or some amount that started the fire," Arrington said. "So hopefully they will be able to find who did this."
