I mentioned on the board months ago that I may have had Lyme disease since I was a child, many anons thought the same thing. Lots of NIH studies done on lyme with HcQ and Ivermectin to help with the disease (both reported with good results). Too many studies to post. Many confirmations of what helps since lyme starts with a parasitic infection. Too mamy studies and articles to list. What I’ve found ivermectin didnt help me with the result on arthritis but others have reported HCQ exceptional with the reduced pain. Ive ordered HCQ to try it. My frontline doctor thought I should take HCQ first but I opted for ivermectin. Im sharing only to let anons know that this might help. We should work with doctors if you dont have a good doctor try Frontline.

Doctors say it can take 6-12 weeks to see a benefit. Frontline doctor said many patients reported reduced arthritis pain while taking HCQ. I’m not giving amy medical advice, just looking for answers

Jussie Smollett was found guilty of lying to police about being the victim of a hate crime, turns out the key to his conviction was a tuna sandwich from Subway.

 

The β€˜Empire’ star’s fate was decided by a jury, following a lengthy Chicago police investigation that started with an original interview of the actor on the night of the so-called hate crime. At the time, Jussie claimed he was out buying a Subway sandwich when he was attacked by two men who put a noose around his neck and poured bleach on him.

 

According to the former Chicago Police Superintendent, Eddie Johnson, Jussie claimed to have purchased a tuna sandwich at 2 a.m. β€” which he could understand β€” but, added, β€œHe comes back and gets attacked in a hate crime, supposed hate crime, and during all this scuffle – they poured bleach on him and all of this – when he got up and went into his apartment building he still had that Subway sandwich with him. That doesn’t happen.”

 

Jussie Smollett Kept His Tuna Sandwich Following Alleged Attack

 

As we reported, the initial interview with the actor was caught on police officer body camera and included a description of the alleged hate crime and the aftermath of the so-called beating. Johnson pointed out that in most cases victims abandon anything they are holding during an attack β€œbecause they are afraid.”

 

β€œThis guy had the sandwich in his hand, never been touched. So that was a real tip and a clue to us that something was amiss.”

 

The ex-superintendent sat down with New Nation Now’s β€˜Morning In America’ explaining the entire incident was suspicious considering Smollett was so β€œnonchalant” about removing a noose from his neck β€” that so-called attackers had placed in there following the attack. Video of the interview gave him pause while investigating the allegations.

In the end, Smollett claimed he was attacked by two men because he was Black and gay. Turns out, the two suspects claimed Jussie actually paid them to stage the attack and lie about the details. A jury found the actor guilty of five felonies including, β€œtelling a police officer he was a hate crime victim, telling an officer he was a battery victim, telling a detective he was a hate crime victim, telling a detective he was a battery victim and then telling a detective again he was battery victim.”

 

Shockingly, during the trial, prosecutors claimed Smollett even staged a rehearsal for the attack, with the two brothers he hired for the hoax.

 

No Jail Time Expected For β€˜Empire’ Star Following Conviction

 

At this point, a sentencing hearing will be held to determine what the punishment for the guilty convictions will be…but many believe he will not do any jail time. Part of the reason, Jussie doesn’t have a criminal record, and these were non-violent crimes.

My niece had a baby in April.

Her doc told her to get the vax and that the baby would benefit from it because she was nursing the baby. The baby ended up in the hospital for a week in November with respiratory problems.

I don't know if it had anything to do with my niece getting the vax while she was nursing. But is anyone even looking at that?

On these communication platforms, Griffin sought to persuade parents to allow him to train their daughters to be sexually submissive. Here, they track passport scans (biometric) from the airport and you'll get a notification from the local health authorities to provide vax status a day or so later.

The US tallied a record number of illegal border crossings by migrants over the past year, The New York Times reported.

 

As the publication noted, border officials recorded 1.7 million illegal crossings over the past year, the most since at least 1960, when the government began keeping records. The Washington Post noted it was more than triple the average number of annual border arrests, 504,000, for the previous nine US fiscal years, which run through the end of September.

 

Of the latest figure, 1.1 million of the arrests were single adults, while 479,000 were of members of migrant families – about 48,000 fewer than in 2019. Almost 147,000 children were found to have crossed the border without parents or guardians, US Customs and Border Protection reported.

 

Where did all these people go? If you traveled this past year you had to notice individuals at airports being allowed on planes with no apparent ID’s in hand, only papers.

 

The Daily Caller reports that illegals are allowed to fly within the US without the same documentation American travelers are required to possess:

 

TSA said it accepts alternate forms of identification including a Notice to Appear (NTA) in court, according to the email. Before obtaining an NTA, or another Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE)/U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) document, border agents would have processed a migrant’s biometrics, taken photos of them, and run their fingerprints through immigration and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) databases, according to CBP. Any names given to border agents are the names that are processed unless the biometric data matches other names, according to CBP.

 

According to the Daily Caller, US Rep. Lance Gooden shared:

 

β€œWhen I asked a border patrol officer about TSA allowing migrants to fly with no identification, they told me a Notice to Appear is not sufficient identification and they often have to take migrants at their word that they are who they say they are,” Gooden said. β€œTSA and non-profit groups are putting millions of Americans travelling for Christmas at risk by allowing these unknown and unvetted migrants to board planes and fly across the country.”

Vaccine mandates for workers met with mass protests in Australia

 

Thousands walked out to protest against Covid vaccine mandates in cities across Australia, after the regional authorities made inoculation compulsory for a wide range of employees.

 

In Melbourne, protesters gathered outside the local parliament on Sunday, marching through the city center and bringing traffic to a halt. Among the slogans seen and heard at the demonstration were β€œmy body, my choice” and β€œsack Dan Andrews,” the latter being a reference to the premier of the state of Victoria.

Four States Calling In National Guard To Alleviate Healthcare Staffing Crisis

 

As hospitals face capacity constraints - including firing thousands of workers who refuse to comply with Biden's illegal directive and get jabbed - amid a COVID-19 surge, some states have enlisted the National Guard to help staff healthcare facilities, Becker's Hospital Review reported on December 10.

Indiana

 

Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health, the state's largest hospital system, announced Dec. 9 it requested assistance from the National Guard for most of its hospitals (except Riley Children's Hospital). New daily COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indiana have climbed 47% over the last two weeks, according to data tracked by The New York Times.

 

"As COVID cases continue to increase and hospitalization of COVID and non-COVID patients reach all-time highs, the demand and strain on IU Health's team members, nurses and providers has never been greater," IU Health said in a statement shared with Becker's, "To best support our team members and patients, IU Health will leverage all available resources and enlist members of Indiana's National Guard, in conjunction with the Indiana Department of Health, to assist in areas of critical need."

 

Six-person National Guard teams with clinical and nonclinical members, will deploy to IU Health hospitals in two-week increments.

In Maine, Gov. Janet Mills announced Dec. 8 that she activated up to 75 additional members of the state National Guard. She said they would be used in nonclinical support roles to expand capacity at healthcare facilities.

 

Joel Botler, MD, CMO of Portland-based Maine Medical Center, said in a statement Dec. 8 that the state's largest hospital at times this week "has had no critical care beds available." He said the hospital had to close six more operating rooms, in addition to six that were already closed, to free up workers to provide care and create more bed space. About half of surgeries at Maine Medical Center were being rescheduled.

New Hampshire

 

Seventy National Guard members will be deployed in New Hampshire within the next few weeks to provide nonclinical support at hospitals, The New York Times reported Dec. 9. The newspaper reported that Gov. Chris Sununu also said at a news conference that the Federal Emergency Management Agency was sending a 24-person team to help the facilities.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced this month that 120 National Guard troops would be deployed to overburdened nursing homes.

 

New York officials also announced Dec. 6 that the state would require 32 hospitals with limited capacity to halt nonurgent procedures as COVID-19 cases increase in the state. The state defined limited capacity as below 10 percent staffed bed capacity, or as determined by the health department based on regional and healthcare utilization factors.

Former White House trade adviser Peter Navarro has refused to comply with a subpoena for documents related to the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus, saying the former president ordered him not to, according to his response to a congressional request released on Saturday.

The subpoena was issued in November by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis as part of its probe of whether former Trump administration officials mishandled the federal response to the pandemic by interfering with its own health agency’s work. Nearly 800,000 people have died in the United States from the pandemic.

Navarro, a Republican, also served as one of former President Donald Trump’s pandemic response advisers and was responsible for procurement in the coronavirus response, among other things. Navarro said in a letter to the subcommittee he would not cooperate because Trump told him to β€œprotect executive privilege.”

β€œIt is a direct order that I should not comply with the subpoena,” Navarro said in a letter to the committee, a copy of which was seen by Reuters.

Rep. James E. Clyburn, Chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, issued a subpoena to Peter Navarro, former Director of the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy and an Assistant to President Trump.

In a memo to Select Subcommittee Members explaining the reasons for issuing the subpoena, Chairman Clyburn wrote:

The head and co-founder of a company that produces one of the most widely used Covid jabs, Ugur Sahin, has commented on an interview in which he revealed that he and his family had not been vaccinated.

UK: Abdul Elahi Jailed for Blackmailing 2,000 Victims Into Paedophilic Activity, Self-Harming

 

Abdul Elahi, a serial blackmailer who targeted 2,000 victims online, forcing them to self-harm and engage in paedophilic activity, was jailed after admitting 158 charges committed against 72 victims.

 

Abdul Elahi, 26, forced his victims, around 550 of whom were British, to send degrading images of themselves or others to him.

 

The National Crime Agency (NCA), roughly equivalent to America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), said that Elahi would target vulnerable people, such the underage and people in debt, by posing as a wealthy individual on β€˜sugar daddy’ websites and promising large sums of cash for indecent photos.

 

After he obtained the photos, Elahi would use them as blackmail to extort more extreme photos and horrific videos from his victims, demanding that they film themselves self-harming and/or physically abusing young children and younger siblings, for example.

 

If victims refused to send Elahi what he demanded he would become aggressive and threaten to send their explicit photos and videos to their families and friends.

 

When his victims begged for mercy or said they were suicidal, Elahi would laugh at and ridicule them.

 

Elahi would sell this content via encrypted platforms and made upwards of Β£25,000 in the process. One customer alone purchased over 1,000 hours of β€˜box set’ content from Elahi.

 

When questioned in court Elahi admitted that he viewed his β€œsadistic” crimes as a job and was β€œtrying to make as much money” as he possibly could.

 

His victims ranged from eight-month-old babies to adults, and detectives believe there are many more victims to be discovered.

 

More than 67,000 images were recovered from Elahi’s hard drives and victims are believed to be from around thirty different countries.

 

Sentencing judge Sarah Buckingham described Abdul Elahi as the β€œvery worst type of predatory offender ever identified thus far”.

 

She told Elahi he had β€œplainly derived pleasure from the agony you caused – with complete disregard for your victims’ suffering,” and that there was β€œa sadistic element to your offending, demonstrated through the blackmail and the relentless targeting of children and young adults.”

 

β€œThe abhorrent nature of your crimes warrants an extremely long sentence for the protection of the public,” she said, handing down a reported sentence of 32 years β€” although he will be eligible for release after serving only two-thirds of it.

EU Members Agree to Import Nearly 40,000 Afghan Migrants, Over Half to Germany

 

15 EU member-states have agreed to take in nearly 40,000 migrants from Afghanistan, with over half being taken in by Germany alone.

 

The European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, has announced that 15 EU member-states have agreed to take in over 38,000 migrants from Afghanistan.

 

Of this number, it is understood that Germany, now led by Olaf Scholz of the leftist Social Democratic Party (SPD), will be taking 25,000 of the migrants β€” over half of the total amount being accepted by the EU.

 

AFP reports that the Netherlands will take the second-highest number, at just over 3,000, while Spain and France will be joint-third in the venture, taking 2,500 migrants each.

 

Commissioner Johansson praised the measure, calling it an β€œimpressive act of solidarity” and claiming that preventing β€œirregular arrivals” requires EU members to invest in β€œlegal ways to come to the European Union”.

 

While Germany has agreed to take in 25,000 Afghans, the country’s new Euro-federalist foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, has previously promised to take in a lot more.

 

Baerbock, who heads of the Green Party which is now part of Germany’s new coalition government, has said that her country is obliged to take in 50,000 migrants from Afghanistan alone.

 

The coalition has also vowed to boost immigration more generally, opening up the country to mass chain migration by allowing migrants to bring family members to Germany.

 

This comes despite the number of problems Germany has had with migrants in the past.

 

The nation’s lax migration policy under Scholz’s predecessor Angela Merkel, for example, resulted in both the infamous Cologne sex attacks as well as an Islamist attack on the Berlin Christmas market in 2016.

'Sadistic' abuser Abdul Elahi targeted 2,000 victims online

A "sadistic" paedophile targeted almost 2,000 victims online, blackmailing them into sending him degrading images of themselves and abusing others.

Abdul Elahi, of Birmingham, also ran encrypted digital "master classes" to train paedophiles to avoid detection, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said.

At Birmingham Crown Court, he admitted 158 offences against 79 victims.

The NCA said it was "some of the most sickening sexual offending" it had seen and that the scale was "industrial".

"The investigation team have been horrified by Elahi's sadistic depravity and stunned by the industrial scale of his worldwide offending," Tom Cook, from the NCA, said.

Detectives, who believe there are many more victims, said the 26-year-old would operate by targeting people across the world on so-called sugar daddy websites, promising thousands for posed images.

The victims ages on the charge sheet range from between eight months to adults, the NCA said.

He singled out victims who were in debt or too young to legitimately be on the sites, tricking them into sending naked or partially clothed images of themselves, the NCA said.

When he had received enough material, the agency said he would then threaten to expose the victims while blackmailing them to send more extreme footage and photos.

Simultaneously, he would sell the graphic content in "box sets" through encrypted platforms, making upwards of Β£25,000 in the process, according to the NCA.

He forced victims to abuse themselves in various ways including self-mutilation, blackmailing women to send him footage of them abusing young children and making girls abuse siblings, the NCA said.

The Revenge Porn Helpline said it had been working with the NCA to remove the online content for more than 18 months.

"We have managed to remove thousands of images but there is more outstanding and this work will continue for many months to come," said Sophie Mortimer, from the charity.

"This content is some of the most extreme that the helpline has ever dealt with."

Elahi was arrested in December 2018 following allegations he was blackmailing a 15-year-old girl in the United States. His computers were seized, sparking an investigation into what the NCA said was "some of the most sickening sexual offending" it had examined.

The NCA said victims who could be identified had been safeguarded.

"The extent of the offences is almost unheard of," said CPS prosecutor Sarah Ingram. "This level of depravity is shocking and will impact the victims for their whole lives."

Elahi, of Allcroft Road, is due to be sentenced on 9 September alongside co-accused Kirsty Nicholls, 35, of Northolt, Middlesex, who admitted working with Elahi to make indecent images of a child.

His offences include possessing more than 65,000 indecent images of children as well as some of sexual assault, blackmail and disclosing private, sexual photographs.

The fact that Gantz claims Iran has hegemonic aspirations and is a threat to the world exposes the absurdity of the Israeli rhetoric against Iran. Regardless, the US has been coordinating very closely with Israel on Iran amid negotiations to revive the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA.

 

At the same summit, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan claimed the Biden administration agrees with Israel’s view that the JCPOA would not stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. But CIA Director William Burns recently contradicted Israeli claims that Iran is seeking a bomb and said that the US has no evidence Tehran has decided to weaponize its civilian nuclear program.

 

During his visit with Austin on Thursday, Gantz called for β€œjoint military readiness” between the US and Israel against Iran. Austin said the US was prepared to β€œturn to other options” if talks to revive the JCPOA failed. Also on Thursday, the White House said President Biden ordered his administrations to prepare β€œother options” in case the JCPOA isn’t revived.

Up until now, New Zealand GPs and hospitals have been provided with a fact sheet from Pfizer listing 21 possible adverse events as a result of vaccination.

 

All of these are minor, requiring little or no treatment other than rest, with the exception of severe allergic reactions, myocarditis and pericarditis (inflammation of the heart). A sadistic online blackmailer has been jailed for 32 years after targeting nearly 2,000 people globally to commit some of the most sickening sexual offending the National Crime Agency has ever investigated.

Elahi custody imageAbdul Hasib Elahi, 26, masqueraded as a stockbroker or rich businessman on sugar daddy websites and promised payments of thousands of pounds for naked or partially clothed images.

He singled out victims who were in debt or too young to legitimately be on the sites and tricked them into sending him photographs.

He also targeted some victims on social media.

Elahi, of Sparkhill, Birmingham, sent fake screenshots of money leaving his account in similar transactions to convince victims.

As soon as possible, Elahi moved victims onto WhatsApp - which is protected by end-to-end encryption - and away from the websites he met them on.

When he received enough revealing images he threatened to expose the pictures to the victims’ families and friends unless they sent more increasingly horrendous photographs and videos.

Elahi’s horrific offences included forcing victims to abuse themselves in sickening ways including self-mutilation, blackmailing women to send him footage of them abusing young children and making girls abuse siblings.

Some of the victims were so terrified they felt they had no choice but to comply.

The National Crime Agency investigation showed there were at least 196 victims in the UK and that he had contacted at least 600 people online in the UK.

Elahi had also tried to contact 1,367 women in the United States and there were also victims in 20 other countries including Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

The Agency worked with international partners to safeguard those Elahi had contacted.

Elahi systematically categorised all the abuse within cloud storage sites.

He then sold the content as β€˜box sets’ through the cloud and via the encrypted app Telegram making more than Β£25,000.

That resulted in further misery for the victims, with their family and friends becoming aware, and often with more offenders trying to blackmail them again.

Unemployed Elahi admitted 158 charges - all committed between 1 January 2017 and 7 August 2020 - in separate hearings at Birmingham Crown Court this year.

The charges include multiple counts of blackmail, disclosing private sexual films and photographs to cause distress, making and distributing indecent images of children, encouraging the sexual assault of children, sexually assaulting a boy, causing or inciting children to engage in sexual activity, fraud and possessing more than 65,000 indecent images of children (IIOC) – including babies being raped.

There were 72 victims on the indictment.

Their ages ranged from eight months to adults.

Where they could be identified, all have been safeguarded.

National Crime Agency officers arrested Elahi on 19 December 2018 following an allegation he was blackmailing a 15-year-old girl in America. His mobile phone and computers were seized and forensically examined.

The complex investigation involved work across multiple foreign jurisdictions. He was charged by the Crown Prosecution Service and remanded in August 2020.

As Elahi he was sentenced today at Birmingham Crown Court, a series of victim impact statements were read.

One victim – a schoolgirl at the time of the offences – said she tried to take a paracetamol overdose after learning Elahi had uploaded her images to Twitter.

It was 12 months after she had sent him images that she received messages on her phone one morning showing her images online.

She said: β€œI still think about these incidents often which makes me sad.

β€œI would say for two years this person has ruined my life, I was heartbroken. I remember my 16th birthday, I spent the night crying, I was severely depressed.

β€œI had to basically pick up the pieces of my life and glue them back together.

β€œI am trying to move on but I find it very hard, I feel that this will be with me for the rest of my life.”

Another teenage victim said: β€œKnowing that this cancerous polyp of a human being has been caught gives me great relief. To know his vile reign of terror is over gives me relief.

β€œI am however shaken to my soul and completely horrified that I was part of this. I have a feeling of dread when I think about it that I can’t even describe and it will never leave me.”

Another victim said she considered taking her own life and is now on medication for anxiety and depression and is constantly worried that videos of her will emerge online again.

β€œI wish that this had never happened to me,” she said.

β€œI hope I can put this behind me and get on with the rest of my life."

Tony Cook, NCA Head of CSA operations, said: β€œAbdul Elahi is a depraved sadist who got sexual gratification through power and control over his victims whom he often goaded to the point of wanting to kill themselves.

β€œHe has wrecked lives and families.

β€œNCA investigators were horrified by what Elahi had done and stunned by the industrial scale of his worldwide offending.

β€œThe effects on the victims in this case will continue throughout the rest of their lives.

β€œI commend them for their bravery and I urge anyone who is being abused online to report it. There is help available.

β€œThere are very many offenders like Elahi who mask their real identities with convincing personas to exploit both children and adults.

β€œIt’s vital that parents speak with their children about who they communicate with online and what they share.

β€œThese offences can happen to anyone.

β€œWe thank our international partners especially the FBI for the support given to us on this case.”

The NCA investigation sparked a series of other inquiries into Elahi’s associates.

Several other men have been convicted.

Sophie Mortimer of the Revenge Porn Helpline said: β€œThis is a long-awaited day for Elahi’s very many victims.

β€œThe Revenge Porn Helpline has been working for two and half years and has removed 135,000 individual images on behalf of those affected, equalling a 90% takedown rate.

β€œWe hope that every person affected by this feels some small sense of closure today, we know that their priority is the removal of this content. We will continue to work in the weeks and months ahead to report this content and we would encourage anyone with any concerns about their own images to get in touch with us and we will do everything we can to offer advice and support.”

A second defendant Kirsty Nicholls, 36, of Northolt, Middlesex, also admitted offences.

She knew Elahi from a sugar daddy website and together they admitted two sexual assaults against a child and both admitted making indecent images of the child.

She was sentenced to six years and nine months.

OTF – The β€œIndependent” Internet Freedom Organization that Makes All Your Favorite Privacy Apps – Is Staffed Full of Spies

 

While the OTF presents itself as independent internet freedom activists, their funding, staff, history and choice of targets all point to the conclusion that they are a digital weapon being used against Washington’s enemies.

 

The Open Technology Fund (OTF) is one of the most influential and celebrated organizations in the hacking and internet freedom communities. Well over two billion people globally use OTF-produced software, including communications app Signal and web browser Tor, services that are specifically marketed to privacy-conscious consumers looking to circumvent government censorship and surveillance. Yet its close links to the U.S. national security state raise many worrying questions about whether the world is making a mistake by trusting the organization and its products.

 

Through its research and sponsorship, the OTF is responsible for apps and services that can boast a massive reach. It is estimated that more than two-thirds of all smartphones are equipped with OTF offerings, apps that brand themselves as the obvious choice for privacy-minded users.

 

The OTF describes itself as β€œan independent non-profit organization committed to advancing global Internet freedom,” adding that it β€œsupports projects focused on counteracting repressive censorship and surveillance, enabling citizens worldwide to exercise their fundamental human rights online.”

 

There is strong evidence, however, to suggest that the Open Technology Fund is not what it claims to be: that it is neither independent nor truly committed to online freedom and privacy.

 

First, while technically a private company, it is directly funded and controlled by the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM), a government body responsible for overseeing U.S.-funded state media outlets overseas, including Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Voice of America and Radio and TelevisiΓ³n MartΓ­. The OTF derives essentially all of its funding from USAGM, which, in turn, receives money from Congress through the Department of State, Foreign Operations and Related programs ($808 million in 2019).

 

Secondly, until 2019, the OTF was officially a government project managed by the infamous Radio Free Asia. Together, The New York Times described these outlets as a β€œworldwide propaganda network built by the CIA.” Even a brief look at their content suggests that this is essentially an accurate description, with USAGM brought into existence to manage CIA-created media outlets.

 

This alone would be enough to raise questions. However, the OTF’s definition of freedom should sound even more alarm bells. In its most recently published annual report, it describes its mission as:

Jake Sullivan’s wife oversees Durham probe…

 

A top adviser to Merrick Garland is facing calls to recuse herself from the Justice Department’s investigation of the Trump-Russia probe, which has looked into the actions of her husband Jake Sullivan.

 

Margaret Goodlander serves as counsel to Garland, who oversees Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation. Garland has oversight of Durham’s budget, the scope of the investigation, and the release of a report Durham is believed to be writing. Sullivan, who married Goodlander in 2015, has been referenced in Durham’s indictment of a cybersecurity lawyer who worked for the Clinton campaign.

 

While there is no indication that Durham is targeting Sullivan, he could be a witness for the investigation given his role as a foreign policy adviser to Hillary’s campaign. Durham’s report could also reveal embarrassing details about Sullivan’s work to dig up dirt on Donald Trump.

 

Sen. Chuck Grassley and the watchdog group Empower Oversight say Goodlander should be formally recused from the Durham investigation to maintain public trust in the probe.

Twitter will now ban users that repeatedly claim vaccinated people can spread Covid

 

Twitter has quietly updated its β€œCOVID-19 misleading information policy” to impose new sanctions on tweets about vaccines, PCR tests, and health authorities. These sanctions include removing and labeling tweets. Both types of sanctions also result in Twitter users accruing strikes on their account which can lead to a permanent suspension.

 

While the top of Twitter’s COVID-19 misleading information policy page currently states β€œOverview November 2021,” a December 2 archive of the page shows that the page was updated and the β€œOverview November 2021” text was added after December 2.

 

One of the most notable changes to this β€œCOVID-19 misleading information policy” we noticed is related to claims about whether vaccinated people can spread the coronavirus. The policy now states that Twitter will label tweets with β€œcorrective information” and give users a strike if they:

 

Claim that β€œthe vaccines will cause you to be sick, spread the virus, or would be more harmful than getting COVID-19”

Post what Twitter describes as β€œfalse or misleading claims that people who have received the vaccine can spread or shed the virus (or symptoms, or immunity) to unvaccinated people”

 

This means Twitter users could now be sanctioned for sharing or discussing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) admission that β€œvaccinated people can still become infected and have the potential to spread the virus to others.”

 

Another change is that Twitter will start giving a strike to and labeling the tweets of users that use research and statistical findings to β€œmake claims contrary to health authorities,” if it decides that their claims β€œmisrepresent research or statistical findings pertaining to the severity of the disease, prevalence of the virus, or effectiveness of widely accepted preventative measures, treatments, or vaccines.”

 

Previously, Twitter would sanction what it deemed to be β€œfalse or misleading” information about research findings but there was no provision about contradicting health authorities.

 

In addition to this, Twitter will give users two strikes and remove their tweets if they claim that β€œvaccines approved by health agencies (such as Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine in the United States) did not actually receive full approval/authorization, and therefore that the vaccines are untested, β€˜experimental’ or somehow unsafe.” This appears to be a reference to criticism of a footnote in the Federal Drug Administration (FDA’s) β€œfull authorization” documents for the Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) vaccine which revealed that the FDA had extended the emergency-use authorization for the same vaccine.

 

Furthermore, users that claim that vaccines are part of a β€œglobal surveillance” effort will have their tweets removed and be given two strikes. The introduction of this provision follows vaccine-related surveillance tech, such as vaccine passports, being introduced in many countries.

Large share of federal COVID relief for safe school reopening diverted to non-pandemic uses: report

This week's Golden Horseshoe Award goes to the U.S. Department of Education for approving pandemic relief spending plans by school districts that include millions for upgrading athletic facilities, installing security cameras, purchasing floor shiners and other non-pandemic related projects.

 

Approximately $190 billion in pandemic funding under both the Trump and Biden administrations was allocated to schools to safely reopen and protect teachers and students.

 

The public spending watchdog group Open the Books found widespread misspending of pandemic relief funds by schools.

 

Creston, Iowa, for example, expanded their sports stadium and spent $231,000 to add bleachers. In Kentucky, a track was replaced using relief funds, the watchdog found.

 

The Kentucky project used $1 million in federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds for the track replacement.

 

"It's a big problem when Congress is throwing so much money at school districts they can't even hardly spend it," Open the Books CEO and Founder Adam Andrzejewski told The National Desk.

 

Boston schools also upgraded athletic fields and expanded other facilities. The city's ESSER spending included $4 million for athletics expansion, $5.5 million in library services expansion, $3 million for science lab materials and equipment, and an additional $20 million for facilities improvements.

 

Erwin, Tenn., is also considering spending millions in ESSER funds to upgrade its athletic fields. The Unicoi County School Board recently met with local officials to discuss the funding of the projects, reported the Johnson City Press.

 

The school is looking to fund a new $3.6 million gymnasium, a new $1.5 million track, and $575,000 for new tennis courts courtesy of U.S. taxpayers.

 

The education site Chalkbeat found the Newark, N.J. public school system's plans for pandemic relief funds include $6 million in new athletic fields and gym floors; $2.4 million for the installation of security cameras; and $536,000 for floor-polishing machines.

 

"Newark's schools chief has called the federal windfall a chance to make much-needed district improvements and urged community members to 'not stay stuck on COVID-19' as they dreamed up ways to use the money," Chalkbeat reported.

 

State education departments received billions in funds through the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, passed in March 2020, which provided $13.2 billion; The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, passed in December 2020, which provided $53.3 billion; and President Biden's American Rescue Plan, enacted in March 2021, which provided $122 billion to schools to reopen safely amid the pandemic.

 

According to a report by the American Enterprise Institute, ESSER funds were billed as support for school reopenings and pandemic recovery, but "Congress placed few limits on what ESSER funding can be used for."

The Firearms Policy Coalition, a California-based nonprofit group, is prepared to fight the Democrat governor to the highest court.

Newsom’s proposal would first have to pass California’s legislature, which reconvenes in January. Despite the Golden State having full-time, highly-compensated legislators, it usually takes nearly nine months for new bills to pass.

 

State Sen. Brian Dahle, a Republican from rural northeast California, opposes the plan, and believes it’s a stunt for Newsom to gain praise from his radical base ahead of a possible run for president.

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO

LUKE

 

Title

As with the other three Gospels, the title is derived from the author’s name. According to tradition, Luke was a Gentile. The apostle Paul seems to confirm this, distinguishing Luke from those who were β€œof the circumcision” (Col. 4:11, 14). That would make Luke the only Gentile to pen any books of Scripture. He is responsible for a significant portion of the NT, having written both this Gospel and the Book of Acts (see Author and Date).

Very little is known about Luke. He almost never included personal details about himself, and nothing definite is known about his background or his conversion. Both Eusebius and Jerome identified him as a native of Antioch (which may explain why so much of the Book of Acts centers on Antiochβ€”cf. Acts 11:19-27; 13:1-3; 14:26; 15:22, 23, 30-35; 18:22, 23). Luke was a frequent companion of the apostle Paul, at least from the time of Paul’s Macedonian vision (Acts 16:9, 10) right up to the time of Paul’s martyrdom (2 Tim. 4:11).

The apostle Paul referred to Luke as a physician (Col. 4:14). Luke’s interest in medical phenomena is evident in the high profile he gave to Jesus’ healing ministry (e.g., 4:38-40; 5:15-25; 6:17-19; 7:11-15; 8:43-47, 49-56; 9:2, 6, 11; 13:11-13; 14:2-4; 17:12-14; 22:50, 51). In Luke’s day, physicians did not have a unique vocabulary of technical terminology; so when Luke discusses healings and other medical issues, his language is not markedly different from that of the other Gospel writers.

Author and Date

The Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts clearly were written by the same individual (cf. 1:1-4; Acts 1:1). Although he never identified himself by name, it is clear from his use of β€œwe” in many sections of Acts that he was a close companion of the apostle Paul (Acts 16:10-17; 20:5-15; 21:1-18; 27:1-28:16). Luke is the only person, among the colleagues Paul mentions in his own epistles (Col. 4:14; 2 Tim. 4:11; Philem. 24), who fits the profile of the author of these books. That accords perfectly with the earliest tradition of the church that unanimously attributed this Gospel to Luke.

Luke and Acts appear to have been written at about the same timeβ€”Luke first, then Acts. Combined, they make a two-volume work addressed to β€œTheophilus” (1:3; Acts 1:1; see Background and Setting), giving a sweeping history of the founding of Christianity, from the birth of Christ to Paul’s imprisonment under house arrest in Rome (Acts 28:30, 31).

The Book of Acts ends with Paul still in Rome, which leads to the conclusion that Luke wrote these books from Rome during Paul’s imprisonment there (c. A.D. 60-62). Luke records Jesus’ prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 (19:42-44; 21:20-24) but makes no mention of the fulfillment of that prophecy, either here or in Acts. Luke made it a point to record such prophetic fulfillments (cf. Acts 11:28); so, it is extremely unlikely he wrote these books after the Roman invasion of Jerusalem. Acts also includes no mention of the great persecution that began under Nero in A.D. 64. In addition, many scholars set the date of James’s martyrdom at A.D. 62, and if that was before Luke completed his history, he certainly would have mentioned it. So, the most likely date for this Gospel is A.D. 60 or 61.

Background and Setting

Luke dedicated his works to β€œmost excellent Theophilus” (lit. β€œlover of God”—1:3; cf. Acts 1:1). This designation, which may be a nickname or a pseudonym, is accompanied by a formal address (β€œmost excellent”)β€”possibly signifying that β€œTheophilus” was a well known Roman dignitary, perhaps one of those in β€œCaesar’s household” who had turned to Christ (Phil. 4:22).

It is almost certain, however, that Luke envisioned a much broader audience for his work than this one man. The dedications at the outset of Luke and Acts are like the formal dedication in a modern book. They are not like the address of an epistle.

Luke expressly stated that his knowledge of the events recorded in his Gospel came from the reports of those who were eyewitnesses (1:1, 2)β€”strongly implying that he himself was not an eyewitness. It is clear from his prologue that his aim was to give an ordered account of the events of Jesus’ life, but this does not mean he always followed a strict chronological order in all instances (e.g., see note on 3:20 ).

By acknowledging that he had compiled his account from various extant sources (see note on 1:1 ), Luke was not disclaiming divine inspiration for his work. The process of inspiration never bypasses or overrides the personalities, vocabularies, and styles of the human authors of Scripture. The unique traits of the human authors are always indelibly stamped on all the books of Scripture. Luke’s research is no exception to this rule. The research itself was orchestrated by divine providence. And in his writing, Luke was moved by the Spirit of God (2 Pet. 1:21). Therefore, his account is infallibly true (see note on 1:3

A video has surfaced from what appears to be January 2021 of World Bank President David Malpass explaining that Pfizer is β€œhesitant” to distribute its vaccine in countries which refuse to grant legal indemnity from liability for adverse events. He says:
