Craig Kelly has signed in several unvaccinated protesters into Parliament House today, saying they planned to do one thing.

“These people are protesting about, they simply want to the mandates to end, so they can go back to work,” he said from his office while sitting with the group.

“We can’t afford in this nation to have these people out of work for another single day.

“I was at the protest campaign yesterday, and 99 per cent are good family people hard working Australians who just want to get back and contribute.”

House Democrats Urge Joe Biden to Fast-Track More Afghans into U.S.

House Democrats, along with Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), are urging President Joe Biden to fast-track thousands more Afghans into the United States.

In a letter to Biden, first published by USA Today, 80 House Democrats and Mast ask that the administration “expedite [visa] processing” for Afghans overseas and to “ensure that those Afghans evacuated through private charter flights have a legal pathway to resettlement in the U.S.”

In addition, the Democrats and Mast want Biden to allow Afghans who were already denied “humanitarian parole” — the process used to quickly bring thousands to the U.S. — to be eligible for refugee resettlement via the State Department.

The letter is an insight into the Biden administration and Democrats’ plans to continue an unlimited flow of Afghans into the U.S. with no end in sight. Already, more than 66,000 Afghans have been resettled in a number of American communities, including in rural Pennsylvania.

The resettlement was first authorized by 49 House and Senate Republicans who joined Democrats in September 2021 to fund the resettlement to the sum of $6.4 billion. Then, in December 2021, 20 House and Senate Republicans helped Democrats pass an additional $7 billion in funds to ramp up the endless Afghan migration.

Refugee contractors, the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that rely on American taxpayer money to resettle refugees across the U.S. annually, secured billions as a result of the funding measures.

Every five years, refugee resettlement costs taxpayers nearly $9 billion. Over the course of a lifetime, taxpayers pay about $133,000 per refugee and within five years of resettlement, roughly 16 percent will need taxpayer-funded housing assistance.

Over the last 20 years, nearly a million refugees have been resettled in the nation — more than double that of residents living in Miami, Florida, and it would be the equivalent of annually adding the population of Pensacola, Florida.

Ottawa Police Chief Peter Sloly says protesters are countering any police actions to bring an end to the “Freedom Convoy” that has occupied the downtown core for 11 days, with no signs of ending.

Speaking on CTV News at Six Monday evening, Sloly said demonstrators are adapting quickly to any enforcement efforts, such as disallowing fuel containers into the downtown core.

“What was happening during the course of the day is some of the protesters were deliberately filling jerry cans with water, literally drinking out of them to show the police that they weren’t gasoline,” Sloly said. “Meanwhile, they were carrying gasoline in other containers that would have been carrying water.”

Sloly said the countermeasures speak to the “sophistication and commitment” of the operation, as demonstrators appear able to pivot en masse in reaction to police efforts.

The full forensic audit of Maricopa County concluded hundreds of thousands of ballot discrepancies and elections law violations, including the deletion of election files before providing the machines to auditors.

The video evidence of this occurrence was redacted from the public report to maintain confidentiality and protect the individuals who deleted the files.

Using wave tanks, historical study, and coastal monitoring, Madsen and other researchers have found that relatively gentle summer waves tend to pile up sand along the shore, while winter storm waves tend to remove it. Depending on local factors, this can cause a wide range of outcomes, including cyclical creation and destruction of islands, inlets, spits, and other coastal features, sometimes over periods of decades or centuries. Long-term erosion can result when winter storms remove the tops of dunes—the damage is irreparable because the summer waves cannot reach high enough to redeposit sand.

Madsen’s finding is that seawalls do prevent sand removal and dune erosion along their lengths, but with an important caveat — erosion increases in areas beyond the walls’ ends. So unless they are built according to a coordinated plan, seawalls simply pass along the effects of the waves, which end up eating more violently at the first unprotected spot. Moreover, walls are effective only on the mainland, not on fragile barrier beaches.

“We need something like city planning: coastal planning,” notes Madsen. “You can’t solve it on a lot-by-lot basis, only as a whole. We need more and better information, but we can crack the nut if we approach it in an organized manner.”
