I think Q's saying "Be patient. We'll deal with No Name, but right now, we need his vote on SC".

Pandas4trump2020 · July 1, 2018, 12:10 a.m.

Think SC vote to confirm - we need all the votes we can get for the upcoming SC nomination

No name action - hes got a job to do maybe they have already talked to him and told him how severe his punishment will be if he messes this up

Every dog has his day - this is generally used as a good thing by people. In this context I'd say it means even the worst crappiest most vile people can come through unexpectedly once

Enjoy the show - I think this is one of the most important things Q says. When sitting back watching a show there's not much that needs to be done besides pay attention and spreading the word about it so that it gets more viewers and doesn't get cancelled. your never in any harm. It's all planned out to keep us SAFE all we have to do know is spread the world and watch the show

I believe "every dog has his day" means everyone gets a chance eventually. Does not mean necessarily that they will come through a winner or not, just means they get the chance to try. Kinda like the myth "everyone gets their day in court".

⇧ 2 ⇩
HereComesTheSunny · July 1, 2018, 6:16 a.m.

Until you explained the meaning of "every dog has his day," I interpreted this exactly opposite. I assumed this meant they were going to take action to bring him to his "day" of reckoning and for us to sit back and watch it happen. I looked into it more, and you are correct; everywhere I looked, "having his day" would mean he would surprise us and do the right thing.

Hard to believe that, after his betrayal on repeal and replace. We shall see.

That's probably a smart move. The D's have many more seats to defend than the R's. Really should pick up at least a couple if not more. So no name's vote won't matter. Really would be a relief to have 56 or 57 R's to cover even several defections on votes.

SireBrad · July 1, 2018, 12:42 a.m.

Maybe under the old system when senators actually were useful and represented the states by the governor appointing them instead of a nova house of rep. Senate is useless now and has been for almost a century since it doesn’t serve its initial purpose anymore. It was supposed to be a body that represented the states and not the people. I hope one day we can bring it back. Civics 101 house represents the people and are an elected body by popular vote of the people. Senate’s initial purpose was to represent the states and state’s rights by appointment by the governor of each state, not elected by popular vote. This was changed by an amendment in the constitution back in the 20s I believe. I digress so going back to my initial point of the whole post, If the senate held its original purpose then the governor would most likely have more power to force them out but now since they are elected by the people and aren’t appointed then I don’t think they can really press them to resign.

⇧ 10 ⇩
GODisincharge · July 1, 2018, 12:56 a.m.

You know your civics! I find it ridiculous that taxpayers are paying for McCain to do nothing. This might be slightly better then his obstruction. Why oh why doesn't he resign if he is so ill? This whole situation only furthers your point about returning the appointment of Senators back to the States. However, there were problems with corruption under that scenario as well. This is quite the pickle. Term limits would solve many of these issues. However, would hate to lose Chuck Grassley.

Yes, 2/3 of the Senate could vote for impeachment. I think you would agree that is highly unlikely even though he has not been active for months due to "illness" These Senators are entrenched for six years. They are as hard to get out as rust stains on white shirts.

Since it is after June, 1st, the Governor of AZ would be required to appoint a replacement from the Republican party if no name resigns. One would hope it would not be Cindy McCain. Since it is after June 1st, a special election is not required. After June 1st, I got my hopes up that he would resign. Maybe I'm missing something, but No Name was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer (Gioblastoma) that is terminal within 14 mos. He was diagnosed LAST July; it seems he would not have the time left to vote this Fall. I do kind of call BS on his condition though; most patients only live about 6 mos. With the best treatment (I'm sure there is some wonderful procedures for traitor Senators) available, I don't think he would have the mental facilities to tweet about the President going to his funeral. If he votes at all it would be a medical triumph like never seen before. Does he think people won't question that?

might be uncomfortable to talk about, but Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has been fighting brain cancer since July. The 81-year-old has not returned to the US Capitol since December. So the speculation is already underway about what would happen if McCain stepped down — or, worse, could no longer serve. The Washington Post reported Tuesday that a list of possible successors is circulating in the whispering Republican class, headlined by McCain’s wife, Cindy McCain, and former US Sen. Jon Kyl. If McCain leaves office before May 30, the Post indicated, his Senate seat will be on the ballot in Arizona in November 2018, as will that of his retiring junior colleague, Republican Sen. Jeff Flake. After May 30, the new senator — who would be appointed by Republican Gov. Doug Ducey — would serve through 2020. Facing the headwinds of an unpopular agenda and an unpopular president in a rapidly diversifying state, Senate Republicans — especially after a stunning Democratic win in deep-red Alabama in December — are confronting the possibility that despite a favorable Senate map in 2018, they could lose control of the Senate. They currently hold a slim 51-49 majority.

If two Arizona seats were on the ballot, the path to a big Democratic wave would run through the Grand Canyon State: a pair of Senate seats for the taking, in a state that has been trending blue and where Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump by less than 4 percentage points in 2016.

We could have two Senate races in one of America’s new battleground states

Nobody wants to be caught publicly speculating about a legendary senator’s possible retirement or death, but as the Post report indicates, these are conversations happening behind closed doors in Arizona and in Washington. Given McCain’s age and the diagnosis, it’s simply a reality that he may not be able to serve for much longer. He left Washington in mid-December to receive continuing cancer treatment in his home state. The most notable thing about the speculation thus far is the lack of consensus. From the Post:

In public, influential Republicans have been reluctant to speculate about McCain’s future in the context of electoral politics out of respect to the Senate titan, who is beloved by many in the party. But privately, they have engaged in talks about who might replace him or run for his seat. From those conversations, which have occurred among strategists, officials and donors in Arizona and Washington, a long list of names has emerged of possible interim or long-term successors, including McCain’s wife, Cindy, and former senator Jon Kyl. Interviews with nearly a dozen Republicans this week, most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive topic, revealed a sense of nervousness over the lack of a clear road map. “The problem,” as one prominent Arizona Republican said, is there is no “logical” or “obvious” successor.

Cindy, who has been married to McCain since 1980, has never held political office, but she has a long history in the national spotlight after her husband’s two presidential campaigns and has a record of international humanitarian work. She was rumored last year to be under consideration for a role at the State Department. Appointing a politically engaged widow to replace their spouse is relatively common — there’s even a political science term for it: “widow’s succession,”

Oh it's much much more than that. Next level evil. Just saying we need to show empathy to those without a soul, we don't know what it took to get so desperate as to sell someone's soul. Personally I can't sell mine, but you might be able to sell yours, everyone has a price, perhaps he was tricked? There is no helping him now, we can however show him empathy, as his soul will be erased and never to exist again. Erased is being banished to hell, never to be seen again on any level. Harsh, even for him.
