Qresearch is a 24/7 beehive of activity where anons post their diggs, memes and prayers.

For this to happen requires ''bakers''–which is why they have been called "the core of this board."

Bakers perform several key functions:

* Set the tone for each bread via their choice of bread title and /comms/ with posters.

* Post notables for each bread.

* Bake breads (transition the board from one thread to the next).

* Knead the dough (keeping the resource pages clean, tidy, and up-to-date).

When all goes well, baking is a fun & exciting opportunity to serve. When things get wonky and shills attack–bakers carry on anyway.

always tag the doh post

not just the GHOST BAKE post.

this is the only way for incoming bakers to know someone is baking

- ask if there are notables or if there are none, tag notables post

- when adding notes, tag to doh post

lets bakers and anons know baker is still there (and still AWAKE)'''

they often get lost in the shuffle in ghost bakes (also if note-taking, keep posting latest dough) in case you have to leave

- keep an eye out at end of bread for incoming bakers,

Bolded the importance of the doh post because it is a CRITICAL thing for picking up ghost bakes

Two nights ago, after ghost bake declared

someone started by taking notes

toward the end, they decided to bake

but didn't announce until very late

meanwhile, i came along, checked the doh post; saw baker had ghosted, saw a note-taker was taking notes and asked if there was a baker on duty, tagging doh and last set of notables.

no reply. asked again - no reply.

so started addin to notes, posted one set.

then someone posted another set of notes around 600+.

along with a notice he was baking.

I saw it, and stood down.

but only at the last minute

meanwhile, was rushing around trying to set up and format notes.

this happens often. but easily preventable if doh tagging is used and baker realizes another baker may come along and needs to know what's up.

The bakers in this class form the core of the regular baking crew and have for years. We are FAM. We have each others' back, go out of our way to take care of each other. Are not nasty in conversations. Do not probe for faults or use /sarc/. Do not make fun of one another or of anons. Look at all past classes, you will never find anything but efforts to inform and support. Very different from what you experienced in recent conversations on the /baker meta/ thread, isn't it?

yes, having a separate board is a practical way to avoid the falling-off-the-board problem with /qr/. In some ways, it would be ideal to have only ONE kind of thread on /qresearch/ board: Q Research General. And maybe other really busy and fast-moving threads. Because only those can "compete" with General threads.

All other threads could go on another (slower) board called (e.g.) "QR Special Topics".

Not the kind of thing anyone would mandate, just a practical solution to a problem that often happens, in part bc anons not experienced with thread creation don't realize just how carefully they are going to have to monitor /qr/ threads and bump threads to keep them on the catalog. Better to have a low-maintenance thread for most topics, espec thread like planefag thread that basically serve as a resource to teach people a set of basic skills. (and so might not need constant additions)

On changing the dough

belongs in the dough, so reposted here.

My thoughts -

• Sudden changes to the dough make anons jumpy and distrustful of bakers

• Dough changes are best discussed in the general before they're done

• A few new resources going in the dough without discussion in the general can lead to bakers and anons getting paranoid

As anon and baker I'd be saying to m'self WHF is ABCL? WTF is QRMemes? What's this /comms/ thread? Who decided this should go in the dough?

My thoughts - Anons should decide what goes in the dough by consensus.

Bakers should always ask (on a day or evening shift).

I replied in /qr/ but will reply here also.

On /qr/, BO/BV's decide what stays. If they like it, fine. Otherwise, they will remove. I will not put a thread there because they removed an Information Warfare thread I created in winter of 2019 that was valuable enough to have been archived several times, and not by me. But i learned how to archive just before removal, so the whole thread still exists here: https://archive.fo/E0oJm

Begged them not to, they taunted me saying it was garbage but they might let it stay just let it stay (it was bumplocked first). Then one day just - gone. Same crew went on to do per post captchas, anti-baker campaign and finally, complete takeoever of the kitchen and the dough.

Same BO is still in place. So maybe that will explain why asking for permission from that crew turns my stomach. Try /qrb/ or /comms/ instead - they are slower so threads stay on the catalog basically forever. On /comms/, i've never seen Rusty remove a thread like @fj removed mine.

well here's the good thing: give someone enough rope….now anons know. same pattern with gerbil. at first, no one knew 'bout him on /end/ - same thing later on /qr/. takes a while for patterns to become generally known. once they are, there's no longer confusion about how to respond.

i made my points initially, then stood back - so others would get involved. Better that way, easier for the board to understand what's going on. And a good bet - bc obsessive anons looking for 'traitors' never just go after one party. keep seeking out more members of the 'conspiracy.'

Good to stay out of OSS's sights whenever possible. I'm seriously thinking of banning him permanently for threatening bakers. (It's actually not permanent, can be reversed, but will remain in place until it is reversed.)

Don't know whether he really called the FBI, but he's nasty enough for something like that. These caps may help expose him for the lying snake he really is. But i gotta take a bread before finishing, am terminally short of sleep, eat, etc.
