Qresearch is a 24/7 beehive of activity where anons post their diggs, memes and prayers.

For this to happen requires ''bakers''โ€“which is why they have been called "the core of this board."

Bakers perform several key functions:

* Set the tone for each bread via their choice of bread title and /comms/ with posters.

* Post notables for each bread.

* Bake breads (transition the board from one thread to the next).

* Knead the dough (keeping the resource pages clean, tidy, and up-to-date).

Baking Seminar #35 - Anon Townhall

 

Welcome everyone.

Usually we meet here to teaching new bakers how to bake and give feedback of practice bakers.

 

If they are any anons here who came for that purpose, stick around. Because we always have time to help with baking at the end. Or you can sneak in a q if you have one before then.

 

Tonite, we'll start with something a little different and less technique focused:

Talking about the tradition of baking on Q Research and how baking has changed since Q Research first started.

 

Because understanding where we have come from helps us understand where we are right now and how we got here.

 

One or more of us will give brief presentations, but anons can ask q's or make comments anytime. This is pretty open forum, has been since we started late Feb. There are usually several conversations going at once, but we manage.

 

Just so you know, the tradition in this class that anyone who wants to can namefag. it's kind of essential for presenters but optional for anybody else. Just makes discussion easier.

 

Will post more info if i have it before class. Look forward to meeting new friends and finding ways to facilitate better comms among all anons, including bakers.

When NB mentioned the possibility of starting a new LIVE baking class, he said he thought mebbe it was a crazy idea.

 

But why not give it a try?

 

I didn't know but said I would try to help. So I mostly maintain the dough, act as greeter, and teach the classes when he's not available.

 

i really enjoy it.

to me, they not only support new bakers

but also help 'old' bakers get back into the swing of things

and the thread serves as a place that new bakes canask q's and get bakes checked between classes

the bakers who left after I started baking left, i think, because of fj. nobody liked per post capchas and the anti "bakers's union" campaign gradually took its toll. It wasn't much fun to bake at that point.

i've often heard oldfag anons lament that we no longer have intriguing puzzles to solve like at the start

seems like it was kind of demoralizing to some for a while

in winter (mostly feb) 2019, Q posted "we are the news" at least 20x. Kind of a hint that something was changing.

It's coz Q wanted it for this board. Needed it, i think. I was collecting the MSM articles on Q, and it was obvious that virtually every traditional news outlet was comp'd. Something needed to take its place, at least in the short run. That "something" was apparently /qresearch/.

You do raise an interesting question - one i never thought of before.

What exactly IS a bakers' union?

When FJ was claiming "bakers union", it was obviously be he hated bakers and used the term pejoratively. like it was something really bad, like the teamsters under hoffa, kek.

 

But the way you're using it, sounds more like a group thats' a definite group, as opposed to individuals doing the same thing. If so, that could be a good thing or a bad thing. Just depends why the group is a group - and whether it open or closed to more "members."

 

If you want to call the traditional bakers a group, that seems fine. But if so, we're a very open group. The only two real qualifications for membership are the abilities to

a. bake

b. getting along with other bakers

 

And the second qualification can be very liberally interpreted.

Yes.

That's why it's important for new bakers to look carefully at how things are done, espec. on page 2 of the dough. I've probably talked about the needs of aggregators like 50x, but somehow it's hard to get that point across.

 

Might be worth putting in as a GLOBAL NOTABLE for a while, so new bakers would see it over and over again.

Yeah, one of the things hard to hear was when bakers asked a complete newbie who wanted to bake on a busy shift to do some practice bakes, and some shill jumped in shat on /comms/ saying no one should have to practice bake before baking LIVE.

 

Rusty created this place to help bakers. It sure helped me, espec when all i had was nb's notes to go by. They were great - still are - but it was the ability to practice bake here on comms (espec shadow baking) that gave me the confidence to do it LIVE. i never would have baked without this practice board. And now to see people calling dedicated bakers comms bakers - like it's something disgustingโ€ฆ..breaks my heart.

Don't worry, i don't plan to defect. But I've always done some digging on /qrb/, espec the kind of diggs that don't get notabled on /qr/ because they're not today's news.

 

When /qrb/ was in operation, anons just went back and forth, often checking out digs on same topics on /qr/. Or checking out q posts. It was never a case of "deserting" qr like the shills said. /qrb/ used to have a link the way /comms/ does if i recall - anons wanted to keep it and FJ wouldn't do it.

Understand. Well aware of FJ's history, certainly easy to believe he would throw in w/someone attacking the bakery. But i saw at least one example where BO/BV shut down OSS/OSS ally bred. I am the last person who would let FJ the hook, was a major target of his wrath last year. And after reversion, publicly told him an apology should be given. But it never was.
