Draft of House Defense Bill Includes $450 Million for 'Ukraine Security Assistance'

 

Taxpayers in NATO countries have been asked to shell out tens of billions of dollars for military aid to Ukraine, with the US alone pledging some $54 billion in support - equivalent to more than four/fifths of Russia's 2021 defense budget.

The House of Representatives has proposed granting Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin the authority to provide up to $450 million in security and intelligence assistance to Ukraine in fiscal year 2023 - $150 million more than the amount previously requested by the White House.

 

The bill "includes $450 million for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which provides support and assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, an increase of $150 million above the budget request," the House Armed Services Committee said in a document released Monday, summarizing its 547-page Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Bill.

Other Ukraine-related measures in the bill include the requirement for "updated security strategies" for US non-NATO European partners, and quarterly briefings to Congress on efforts to replenish stocks of tactical missiles given to Kiev by the US and its allies.

 

The legislation also requires the dozens of US bases dotting Europe to "adopt installation energy plans to increase energy resiliency and sustainability in order to reduce reliance on" Russian energy, and asks the Pentagon to set a formal goal to eventually eliminate "their use of Russian energy entirely."

The bill further proposes "reporting on efforts by the Russian Federation to expand its presence and malign influence in Latin America and the Caribbean," and on the operations of Russian private military contractors in Africa, plus any efforts by Moscow to build naval bases on the continent.

 

As for China, along with a $6 billion funding package for a 'Pacific Defense Initiative', the bill calls for an assessment of any "dual-use technology that the Chinese Communist Party might exploit," and "policy solutions that align with the National Defense Strategy." Additionally, it proposes an assessment of fuel distribution in the Indo-Pacific, calls for enhanced defense cooperation with US partners in the region, marks a formal expression of "congressional support for the US defense relationship with Taiwan," and requires the head of US Indo-Pacific Command to brief Congress on "support and sustainment for critical capabilities necessary to meet operational requirements in a conflict."

"Strategic competitors like Beijing and Moscow have threatened the security, freedom, and prosperity of people living around the world by seeking to erode the rules-based international order. This mark supports investments in the alliances and partnerships that the United States needs to meet these challenges, including more than $6 billion in funding for the Pacific Deterrence Initiative and nearly $4 billion for the European Deterrence Initiative," House Armed Services Committee chairman Adam Smith said in a statement.

An explosion in a mosque in Afghanistan's northern province of Kunduz killed 12 people and wounded 30, according to a source.

Germany demands Serbia impose anti-Russian sanctions

 

Chancellor Scholz also revealed the conditions for the embargo to end

 

 

Serbia must follow the EU lead in embargoing Russia and recognize its breakaway province of Kosovo as an independent state if it hopes to join the bloc some day, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Friday. At a press conference in Belgrade after his meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Scholz also said that the anti-Russian sanctions won’t end once the fighting in Ukraine stops.

 

 

“It is important that many countries join the sanctions, because in addition to deliveries of weapons that is something that helps Ukraine defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Scholz said. “We expect all candidates for EU membership to join the sanctions as well.”

 

 

Brussels has so far adopted six “packages” of anti-Russian sanctions, with the most recent one including a phased ban on oil imports. These EU sanctions are “not something that will end when the hostilities are over,” Scholz said in Belgrade.

 

 

Instead, the German chancellor explained, Russia must accept it “cannot dictate the terms of peace” to Ukraine and guarantee Kiev’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, before the EU would consider lifting the embargo.

As I was waiting in an airport lounge to travel from USA to the UK two days ago, I saw a newsreel from CNN which was breathlessly reporting on this “threat” while displaying historic images of patients suffering from Smallpox disease. This provides a classical example of public health fearporn, in my opinion, and CNN should be reprimanded for broadcasting irresponsible propaganda - misinformation and disinformation- under the guise of journalism.

While the Biden administration is hoping and praying that someone - anyone - will watch the comical "Jan 6" kangaroo hearsay court taking place in Congress and meant to somehow block Trump from running for president in 2024 while also making hundreds of millions of Americans forget that the current administration could very well be the worst in US history, it is quietly preparing for the worst.

 

As none other than pro-Biden propaganda spinmaster CNN reports, when it comes to what really matters (at least according to Gallup), namely the economy, and specifically galloping gasoline prices, the White House is in a historic shambles.

 

For an administration that ended last year forecasting a leveling off of 40-year high inflation and eager to tout a historically rapid recovery from the pandemic-driven economic crisis, there is a level of frustration that comes with an acutely perilous moment. Asked by CNN about progress on a seemingly intractable challenge, another senior White House official responded flatly: "Which one?"

 

The suspects behind the historic implosion are well known: "soaring prices, teetering poll numbers and congressional majorities that appear to be on the brink have created no shortage of reasons for unease. Gas prices are hovering at or around $5 per gallon, plastered on signs and billboards across the country as a symbolic daily reminder of the reality one in which White House officials are extremely aware that the country's view of the economy is growing darker and taking Biden's political future with it."

 

"You don't have to be a very sophisticated person to know how lines of presidential approval and gas prices go historically in the United States," a senior White House official told CNN.

 

A CNN Poll of Polls average of ratings for Biden's handling of the presidency finds that 39% of Americans approve of the job he's doing. His numbers on the economy, gas prices and inflation specifically are even worse in recent polls. What CNN won't tell you is that Biden is now polling well below Trump at this time in his tenure.

Israel, Boeing sign deal to defend aircraft industry from cyberattacks

 

The announcement comes shortly after Israel and the US Department of Homeland Security had announced that they were initiating a joint cyber program.

 

US defense giant Boeing and Israel have signed a deal to cooperate on a wide basis for providing security to the aircraft industry from cyberattacks.

 

“The civilian aircraft sector could be characterized by its many technological developments which create new complexities and cyber challenges,” Boeing and the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) said in a statement.

 

“These developments require advance preparations for proper cyber defenses,” the INCD said, citing the new deal with Boeing as one large piece of a broader strategy in this area.

The deal is not restricted to providing one cyber service, but rather touches on the full range of sharing cyber intelligence, identifying threats in advance, working jointly to prepare for those specific threats, mitigating the potential harm they present and working on a variety of cyberdefense solutions for civilian airports.

 

INCD chief technology officer Tomer Goren said: “The agreement is a product of a continuous dialogue which increased trust between the sides, which is critical for partnering in the cyber aircraft arena. The agreement will facilitate a deeper understanding of the cyber dangers to aircraft and will contribute to civilian airport security as the business area rises out of the coronavirus crisis.”

 

Goren said he hoped other major defense companies and possibly other countries would join the collective airports cyberdefense effort, with the INCD statement later also mentioning Airbus.

 

The announcement comes shortly after Israel and the US Department of Homeland Security announced they were initiating a joint cyber program for specifically increasing the resilience of cyberdefense infrastructure.

 

In recent months, there also have been significant discussions about Israel and moderate Sunni Arab states in the Middle East working together on a range of security issues, from cyber to joint early warning systems and joint anti-missile defense.

 

As early as late 2020, former INCD director Yigal Unna had revealed exclusively to The Jerusalem Post that the UAE was in a select group with the US and Singapore in terms of the depth of cyber cooperation between the countries.

Justin Trudeau As He Announces Canada’s Proposed Legislation to Ban Handguns

 

According to a report by CBC, Canada’s leadership has introduced new gun control legislation, which includes a national freeze on buying, selling, importing, and transferring of handguns in Canada.

 

 

The move comes as the government’s most ambitious attempt yet to restrict access to firearms in this country.

 

 

While the measure isn’t quite a complete ban on handguns, it would effectively limit the number of firearms in Canada.

 

 

“In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told a press conference Monday.

 

 

“As we see gun violence continue to rise, it is our duty to keep taking action.”

 

 

Marco Mendicino, the country’s Public Safety Minister, presented the bill in the House of Commons Monday.

 

 

“The bill we just tabled represents a milestone amidst a long and difficult battle which takes place on our streets every single day,” Mendicino said. “It’s a battle which has claimed too many lives, leaving empty chairs at the dinner table, and empty desks in our classrooms.”

 

 

The government previously proposed working with provinces and territories to put restrictions on handguns. Trudeau said his government abandoned that idea after consultations.

 

 

“In our discussions with law enforcement, advocates and experts, it became apparent that we needed a different solution,” he said.

 

 

“So we decided to take a new route, something that would tackle this issue at a national level.”

 

 

The move by Canada’s leadership comes in response to several mass shootings in the United States during the last month.

Repetitive measurements revealed −15.4% sperm concentration decrease on T2 (CI -25.5%–3.9%, p = 0.01) leading to total motile count 22.1% reduction (CI -35% - -6.6%, p = 0.007) compared to T0. Similarly, analysis of first semen sample only and samples' mean per donor resulted in concentration and TMC reductions on T2 compared to T0 - median decline of 12 million/ml and 31 million motile spermatozoa, respectively (p = 0.02 and 0.002 respectively) on first sample evaluation and median decline of 9.5×106 and 27.3 million motile spermatozoa (p = 0.004 and 0.003, respectively) on samples' mean examination. T3 evaluation demonstrated overall recovery. Semen volume and sperm motility were not impaired.

 

Discussion

This longitudinal study focused on SD demonstrates selective temporary sperm concentration and TMC deterioration three months after vaccination followed by later recovery verified by diverse statistical analyses.

 

Conclusions

Systemic immune response after BNT162b2 vaccine is a reasonable cause for transient semen concentration and TMC decline. Long-term prognosis remains good.

By the time the Coca-Cola case got started a year later, City of Chicago Commissioner of Water, John Bolden, was targeted for federal criminal prosecution in "Silver Shovel". His and the soda pop case were both pending before Judge Manning. Commissioner Bolden's defense attorney, James Montgomery, was reportedly a close crony of Judge Manning. It was obvious to savvy sorts what might happen.

 

 

Montgomery reportedly had ties of some sort over the years with Nevada gambling casino gangsters. Reportedly part of the crime cartel and a big-time owner of gambling casinos, William F. Cellini reportedly had bought the federal judgeship for Manning, paying some one million dollars through then U.S. Senator Carol Moseley-Braun [D., Ill.].

 

John DeCamp, in a position reportedly to understand a few things about Coca-Cola and the CIA and the Chicago federal judges, withdrew from the newly started case against Coke, in July, 1997. A few weeks later, started the federal criminal trial USA vs. John Bolden. Same Judge.

 

Anyone knowing a lot about court knows that even trials by jury can be "fixed" or sabotaged by the trial Judge. Such as, by the Judge keeping out key evidence as being "inadmissible", by manipulating the dates and circumstances of the jury procedures. By slanting the court procedures against the prosecutors and in favor of the criminal defendant. By scheduling the jury under peculiar circumstances.

 

 

In September, 1997, the jury in the Bolden case came back with a split verdict. Guilty on tax evasion, wherein Bolden could get, at most, six months in prison. They acquitted Bolden on the more serious charges of extortion.

 

John Bolden was a bigshot making as much as 90 thousand dollars a year as Commissioner of Water for City of Chicago. [And perhaps much more as pay-offs to influence his official position.]

 

 

He was a big fish. The team that helped put together the charges against Bolden were and are livid. Why? They contend that Judge Manning, to go easy on Water Commissioner Bolden, got a financial benefit that some might construe as a bribe.

 

 

The team, in plain language, grumbles loud enough for others to hear, that U.S. District Judge Blanche M. Manning is a crook, whose chair reportedly was bought for her by a crook, and that she belongs in prison, along with the one who bought her the Judgeship.

 

To understand this story fully, you have to understand the realities of political and financial power. Those who put together criminal charges are most often NOT concerned about bribes to Judges in CIVIL cases. So, if Judge Manning had been bribed or corruptly influenced or blackmailed in the CIVIL case, the one against Coca-Cola, well, the team is NOT concerned.

 

 

In the Water Commissioner's case, Judge Manning made the same mistake, however, as Chicago Federal Appeals Judge Otto Kerner, Jr., in 1969. He had reportedly taken a huge bribe in a CIVIL case, involving a five million dollar claim regarding a pet food company. The matter, however, that instigated the federal criminal charges against Judge Kerner was that he had been corrupted to turn loose the Silver-Hi-Jacking Gang, an important federal CRIMINAL case.

 

A federal judge is a fool to counter the prosecutors in a federal criminal case. A federal judge who takes bribes or financial benefits or is corruptly influenced or blackmailed, in a CIVIL case, most likely stays peacefully and quietly on the bench until he or she retires or croaks.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has admitted that the very lockdown policies it advocated for have been instrumental in a drastic increase in mental health issues on a global scale.

 

In a report published on Friday, the World Health Organization claimed that anxiety and depression rose globally by a staggering 25 per cent in the first year of Chinese coronavirus lockdowns, alone. As a result, the report estimated that over one billion people worldwide are now suffering from mental health issues.

 

“Restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic for example had significant mental health consequences for many, including stress, anxiety or depression stemming from social isolation, disconnectedness and uncertainty about the future,” the W.H.O. stated.

 

The W.H.O. not only was instrumental in spreading Communist Chinese propaganda about the ability of the coronavirus to spread from human to human but was also a keen supporter of lockdown policies in response to the virus, which were inspired by Beijing’s draconian reaction to the Wuhan virus.

 

The Marxist chief of the W.H.O., Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who came to power — despite never working as a medical doctor — with the backing of Beijing, was an early and outspoken advocate of lockdowns and warned against lifting restrictions too soon, despite warnings from critics of the mental health implications.

 

The report found that child sexual abuse and bullying were chief contributors to the rise in depression, with younger age groups being particularly impacted by lockdown policies.

 

“Globally there was also a greater change in prevalence among younger age groups than older ones, potentially reflecting the deep impact of school closures and social restrictions on youth mental health,” the W.H.O. report said.

 

“For some children and adolescents, being made to stay at home is likely to have increased the risk of family stress or abuse, which are known risk factors for mental health problems,” it added.

 

The mental health issues facing children during lockdowns have been longstanding. A report from leading British UK universities in July of last year found that nearly five times as many children died of suicide compared to the virus during the first year of lockdowns.

 

“The risk of removal of [children and young people] from their normal activities across education and social events may prove a greater risk than that of SARS-CoV-2 itself,” the study claimed.

 

Other mental health specialists have warned that children have increasingly begun experiencing “locked-in trauma”, in which they find it hard to make friends, interact with others, and even experience anxiety over playing with other children.

Biden White House unveils salaries of all employees — here's what they are

 

The salaries range from $0 per year to $180,000, with the vast majority of employees making over $100,000. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is one of 24 employees who make the maximum $180,000, alongside domestic policy adviser Susan Rice and a smattering of other legal and policy advisers.

 

There are also 16 employees who receive no salary at all, listed at $0 per year. They include Biden's senior adviser for immigration, Ramzi Kassem, and his special policy adviser for economic policy, Justin Levitt, among others.

 

This year's list shows the administration added two more employees making the maximum $180,000 salary compared to 2021, despite the departure of former White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

 

White House chief of staff Ron Klain also makes the top salary.

Started digging on the pic Q posted, trying to figure out who took the pic.

 

Doing a search of it on Tineye, the first article that pops up is from True Pundit, last March.

 

One thing that popped out, going to dig further in a bit, was the location the pic was taken:
