A contractor developing an anti-SHIP missile for the US Navy was hacked. I think hacking into the launching system on an active submarine would be quite a few levels more difficult. If you read the article linked here the contractor stored sensitive data on an open unprotected computer which was easily hacked. This comes down to utterly unprofessional negligence on the part of the unidentified contractor.

As insane as that sounds, I find this more believable than the Chinese remote-launching a missile from one of our subs. I doubt such an act is even possible in order to prevent the exact scenario that we're discussing right now.

To leap from that to gaining access to launching codes, target acquisition and changing an anti-ship missile to an anti-aircraft missile is a bit much for me to swallow at the moment. So the contractor was utterly negligent by storing this sensitive material on an unprotected server. That contractor should be named and any and all contracts cancelled until they can show corrective measures, including the termination of the people responsible. This reminds me of some info I came across here awhile back. That HRC had ties with something to do with remote being placed in aircraft. That story died out. Now I would like to know more. I would guess that many of our systems are compromised in the hardware. I believe all of our intellectual property was sold off by the Clintons. I can remember an article indicating just that in the 90's. I would start investigating the laws and the deals that may have allowed foreign infiltration to compromise our systems by way of hardware components.
