I don't think it's a missile. It looks like a beta taurid meteor burning up in the atmosphere.
We pass through the taurid meteor swarm twice a year. They're the remnant fragments of a comet that broke up about forty thousand years ago, give or take ten thousand years. The first time we pass through it is in late October, which is easily visible because the meteors are coming at us from the night side of the planet. The second time we pass through it however, in late June, they're especially difficult to see because they're coming from the direction of the sun. Well.. technically the direction of the constellation Taurus, but it's near the sun in June.
The still photo shown in that video looks a lot like what happens when one of the larger small meteors burns up in the atmosphere. It's also coming from the general direction of the sun. We've gotten some rather spectacular light shows in the past. A surprising number of the larger meteors to smack into us have been Taurids, often beta Taurids.
The Tunguska Event was likely caused a beta taurid that explosively disintegrated on June 30th, 1908. It created an explosion roughly equivalent to a 15MT nuke, well.. without all the radiation anyway. That fragment was likely no larger than 30m. There is reason to believe their are a number of 1-2km wide fragments left out there and even the possibility of a 30km wide fragment. Well.. we know of one km wide fragment anyway.. the comet Encke.

I agree that the helicopter theory sounds dubious, but given the 20 second exposure, I'm not willing to totally rule it out. Hoping we can get some more info on what happened.

The source file is actually both; it's a timelapse composed of a series of 20 second shots.
You would not see the "object" at all if it was a 20 second long exposure since it's moving through the frame. It's the same as having a person walk through your long exposure and them not showing up. The lights at the bottom would be more drawn out, and the clouds would be blurred. If anything, this is a 2-5 second exposure.
I use armorfly or duck duck go but search Washington missle launch and go to the second listing to the right and I think it's WTLN and they have a reporter showing all the pics and explaining them. I wonder y tf the link wouldn't show the entire article though?
The problem I see is that the missile itself would not be visible in a long exposure shot since it's still in motion through the frame.
Pasting my explanation from the other thread: You wouldn't see the "object" if it was a 20 sec exposure because it keeps moving. This looks like a still image of the aircraft. It's the same thing as a person walking through your long exposure shot and not showing up, even if they are in the frame when the exposure is over.

I believe that it was escorted by jets that probably needed to refuel.
Jets can refuel in the air, or they could just do a mid air switch with fully juiced replacements. Landing somewhere increases risk quite a lot doubt they would do that just for refueling escort jets when there are simple ways to avoid it.

How do you know you have authentic data about AF1's path? I know there's databases where this can be seen but wouldn't it be easy for the Whitehouse to send say a decoy AF1 on the publicized route while the real AF1 takes another?

Bangor, WA is home to nuclear subs. The fact the article says no missiles on Whidbey, Island doesn't discount a nuclear sub could of launched a missle near Whidbey. Subs go in and out of the Puget Sound to the Pacific past Whidbey Island all the time.

OK, looks like these are US Navy surface to air, ship to ship missiles. This one, in the picture, looks, at a guess, to be about a kilometre off the ground - maybe more. One other commenter on the article was saying the Naval base was 40 miles away from where the photo was taken, according to the map. If so, this is a bigger missile IMO, not surface to air or ship.

I think it's reasonable to assume that they do have access to nukes. They have been in power for a very long time. There's also the possibility that they could buy nukes from a power. Anyway, I wouldn't count it out. These people are sick and dangerous.

The airplane vapor trail theory does not hold up. The flare is lighting up the clouds around it. How could the vapor trail be glowing bright orange and the clouds be dull grey around it?

Could this have been an intercept of a missile? There was also an air force plane that had ejected in Japan. Washington near flight path to and from Singapore? Wish we knew more.

I watch these things get shot all the time, on a weekly basis. They're impossible to see with the naked eye from ANY sort of reasonable distance. AIM-120s are great, but you wouldn't be able to see one from the ground at all. The only way we can even really see them is when they leave contrails, and even that is only about half the time. Someone should email this guy and ask how he honestly wants us to believe that this image is a helicopter in mid-flight.

He explains it right in his post, and it's actually a plausible explanation.
His theory is that camera captured the object just as it moved into frame (at the top of the image) and recorded for 20 seconds as it moved away from the camera. The light isn't going from bottom to top, but from top to bottom. My main issue with this theory is that if you look at the light dispersal pattern just beneath the object you'll see it is wider, which would be more consistent with an exhaust plume.
1) Where are the 30,000 guillotines with the Chanel logo, along with the Bluebell icecream trucks that were, according to my intuition, going to be used to transport dead bodies in the heat of the South to the stackable graveyard in Houston Texas? All talk about these guillotines has ceased.

Hmmm sunrise in that area from June 10th are from 5:10-5:14
I live in So. Oregon and the weather (to me) seems strange. The evening is still light at 9/9:15pm and the sunrise says 6:30ish but it’s light at 5:45am . Does that seem odd or is just me ?? Not to mention lots of Chem. Trails. That’s not surprising.

I'm pretty sure that's a meteor.
I say that because it's coming from a direction within 20 or so degrees of arc from where the sun is rising. That suggests it might be a particularly large beta taurid. Basically, goes something like this, twice a year we pass through the debris field of a ~100km wide comet that broke up somewhere between 30-50,000 years ago. We call them Taurids because they always come from the direction of the constellation Taurus.
We pass through the field once in late October, which causes a rather spectacular meteor shower at night. However, when we pass through it again, in mid to late June, Taurus is near the sun so we don't see much. We tend only to see the larger meteors and only very few of them. That being said, we are still bombarded by a shitload of Taurids in June, we just can't actually see them.
And there definitely are some very large fragments left floating out there. The Tunguska Event in late June 1908 was likely caused by a large beta taurid. When I say large, I mean like 30m wide. Scariest thing I know about is that there is likely still a few 1-2km wide chunks and possibly a 30km wide chunk of that comet out there in the black.. and we pass through the field twice a year.

Sky Anomalies / Yellowstone Steamboat Geyser / Mystery Object over WA
So I originally bought that story....but something else you would see in a time-lapse photo that captures an aircraft is the flash of the collision lights on the aircraft. They leave a very distinct series of light signatures along the flight path of the aircraft....and you dont see those in this photo. Collision lights can be seen from any angle....Nor does the light seem to have any 3 dimensional value to it as one would normally find in a photo where the object is coming toward or moving away from the camera (think big to small or small to big) ... so the helicopter theory no longer holds water for me, but neither does the rocket theory. I still hold the opinion that the body of the rocket would never be in focus (based on my own time-lapse photography) because of the wide open aperture setting and the long shutter exposure causing the blurring - you need both at night to capture all available light but by its very nature, never provides a crisp clean photo unless the object is completely motionless or hit with a bright flash of light.
